Maza is your typical 'Mom and Pop' restaurant. When we walked in, we were greeted by Ayesha. She was patient and pleasant while we asked a couple questions. She took our order and in less than 15 minutes, we were eating lunch. The chicken and the lamb platters were both very good (with a side of garlic naan). The lamb platter had a generous portion. Possibly one of the best Pakistani restaurants in NJ It's a shame that I lived nearby for six years, and I never went here because the food is really excellent here. I am a frequent orderer here and the food is fairly consistent. My favorite is the Goat Biryani which has a very authentic taste and their homemade parathas. It is spicy but in a good way that Pakistani food should be. Also excellent are the lamb chops, chicken bihari kababs and chicken tikka masala. And if you must have dessert, the kheer is to die for. Honestly, I am a fan of the majority of their menu options (chicken achari is also very delicious). The only thing I am personally not a fan of is the chicken karahi. The store is small, but they are completing renovations. The main server is amazing, very efficient and accommodating. read more

I was in the mood for some tandoori chicken and the spot across the way did not have any, so I stopped in here. At first they didn't look operational probably due to the covid the buffet section was empty. I ordered the Tandoori chicken with Byrani rice. The chicken was tender, super spicy but good size portions and the rice had good flavor. I also ordered Masala tea. Great taste but rather pricey. They were very kind when we went for sehri (the pre-fast meal). We were having a good time and completely forgot that they close at 4 and accidentally stayed until fajr time. Other people have said they serve old food, and this remains true. The food is not cooked fresh. This is mostly likely true because when we ordered a hamburger and other items, they said they were out, probably meaning that they prepare the patties in advance and just reheat it. Furthermore, waitress is rude. One of our party members complained that the food wasn't good, and the waitress gave her an earful, as if we're eating for free. It's incredible they talk to customers like this. Across the street there's another restaurant that was full of people. Chicken biryani for $4.99 and 12 chicken seekh kebabs for $ 11.99 is a deal that can't be missed. Cons: The taste is no where near satisfying. We stopped in to this new Pakistani restaurant today. The ambiance is nothing special, but the food was very good and the owners are friendly and helpful. The lamb chops were to die for! So tender. This is probably the best Pakistani restaurant in the area. I believe with a better customer service skills and organization they can really become a very prominent establishment. Their food is delicious minus the over use of tenderizer on barbecue chicken. Place is really small. More of a takeout place but there is seating for about 20-25 people in there. There is a small parking lot in the back of the building but parking can be a challenge. The food was good but would've been better if it was grilled for a couple of minutes more. The guy there at the counter was really friendly though. It is hot in there so if you live close I'd recommend you get your food to go. They fix have a portable air conditioner but the small size of the place wasn't helping as the kitchen is so close. Food overall was good though. We decided to stick to BBQ items as they would be made fresh. Not sure how much foot traffic they get so I didn't want to take a chance on the stuff that was already made. They did get a bunch of takeout orders in the time we were there though so traffic probably isn't an issue. We got the Chicken Bihari Kabab and Chicken Tikka (BBQ Chicken cubes). Both tasted good. The Bihari Kabab probably could've been grilled a bit more but it wasn't enough to complain about for me. The naan was really good too. They do have a weekday lunch buffet. read more

They were great when they started but food has been terrible since. We gave it many tries in hopes of things improving but food taste old, bad, and what you get is even inconsistent. Even a samosa chat can come with many ingredients and sauces or just samosa and a spoon of chunney (absolutely nothing else!). It's like they don't care anymore. read more

I'm not sure how other reviews are so good - this is the worst Indian food I've ever had. The garlic naan isn't even good - I didn't think that was possible. I'm currently sitting in front of a half eaten bowl of chicken tikka masala with rice (FYI it doesn't come with rice, that's $3 extra for a small!) and can't even get through it. I got a handful of salad too, apparently - which was literally balled up in aluminum foil from the buffet line. Everything has a funky taste which kind of reminds me of a stale basement. Also, all the food is in a lunch meat display type fridge in the front - I didn't realize this until after I ordered and he asked if I wanted it heated up. I will not be eating here again, I'll drive an extra ten minutes down the same road and go to Pooja, much better quality and taste AND way better portion for the money. Maybe "the best in town" because it's the only such place "in town" -- do yourself a favor and leave town for decent Indian food. read more
