This place is incredible! The menu has a lot of variety and everything was very clean. Our waitress was an absolute legend! The food... I just cannot believe how good it is! The creamed spinach is so fresh!! This was the best I have ever had! Mom had the quesadilla which had a perfect cheese blending with chicken and such wonderful guacamole. And the creme brulee was so creamy and balanced, it really knocked me out. I will be back many more times!! read more

First time trying out Duck Town. Called first to see if they were open due to it being Labor Day, and a lot of places were either closed or closing early. They said yes, they were open. I arrived around 4:15p, was Duck Town Inn walked to my table right away by Lilliana. She was very polite and helpful in assisting me with the menu and recommendations. Feels good to enjoy everything you ordered from beginning to the end. good. I enjoyed everything from beginning to end. The chef/owner, Alex, I believe, came out of the kitchen to greet me and to check if everything was ok and to my liking. Nice place and very welcoming. I had the opportunity to taste left over pizza with guacamole from Ducktown Restaurant. I visited a friend's house in Dutchess unexpectedly and she offered me the slice. It was more than finger licking good. It was utterly delicious. Next time I'm visiting, I'm taking a couple of friends along to taste the menu. From what I hear from my friends the rest of their menu is as good as the left-over pizza; I can't miss being a hit with my other friends from NYC on a night out for dinner at Ducktown Restaurant. Had to go and find out for myself, the food is delicious, delectable, awesome, a gastronomical infusion of flavors. If there is a night you just want to eat out you have to try Ducktown Restaurant 246 Walsh Ave New Windsor, NY 12553 or try their takeout- try the pizza with avocado it's just delicious. The service was great as well. It's a husband & wife combo trying to make a living and they do a great job at getting you the food you want to eat or drink. The ambiance is family style thus you can even take the kids out with you for a wonderful dinner out. The ambiance is what I call professionally dressy, classy, yet simple; GREAT for a date night out, to impress your mate, partner, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend or wife. The food is awesome. The diversity in the food menu is fantastic to please all types of people including Caucasians & Latinos(Cubans, Colombians, Peruvians, Puerto Ricans, etc). Almost forgot to mention if eating heart healthy like the American Heart Association suggests try DuckTown Restaurant in New Windsor, NY. Try them on kareoke night- have fun and good food. I wanted to give this place a chance after my first experience. Sadly, I've tried to go twice since and despite arriving well before the advertised closing time, they weren't open. The first time I went, the decor wasn't the greatest but I figured they were still new. It had less ambiance than your average VFW hall. Now, I don't typically frequent a place only for looks but I definitely don't mind a cute setting (provided that the food is good). The bar area is small so don't expect any fancy cocktails (if a place has to hunt for their bitters, I probably don't want them). Basic drinks are fine but nothing special. The food was fine. Not amazing, not great but fine. I'm sure that the menu has been updated since I was last there. The appetizers seem pretty basic but not bad. I saw another patrons sandwich and it looked good. The service was weird. Let me note that I spent many years working in the service industry (primarily as a bartender) so I totally get if someone is stressed. Our server was really great, especially considering every time they entered the kitchen the chef yelled at them. My table wasn't right next to the kitchen, and it was hard to have a nice date night when you hear things crashing and screaming in the kitchen. Then, apparently our server was either fired or quit. So we had to finish our meal with a random person who didn't feel like checking in on us much. Again, I can be very understanding but there was one other table and a person at the bar. read more

What can I say. A year of disappointment. They still have bad service. Walked in sat at the bar waited 15 minutes for bartender you come over to take a drink order. Than didn't know what a 7&7 is. Should of known then. But ordered food anyway. We got a Seafood dish and they served clams that didn't open. And I ordered a burger. The burger was a good size but no flavor. All I tasted was the grease it cooked in. Under cooked fries. Oh yeah didn't even get a chance to order another drink. Not good back again read more

Cheese and meatball pizza was good. But.....the lobster bisque??? No lobster in it. The shrimp had tails on and were rubbery. so you have to fish the tails out and cut them and throw them back in. The taste was good...but preparation???just thrown in!!!! read more

Restaurant is under new Ownership and it shows. Menu states the restaurant makes and serves American, Italian , French and Latin food (should have been my first red flag) . We ordered take out for a family of 6. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs for my granddaughter. The tomato sauce on the pasta was terrible , very thick and tasteless , the meatballs were also nothing to rave about . My granddaughter's favorite dish, and she literally did not want any of it. Ordered Mexican fries as an Appetizer and it looked like a pile of slop in the container. Fries were soggy and the topping dry and since when do you have pretty much a taco on top of french fries and not get sour cream or salsa? So it was french fries, ground beef with lettuce and tomato and a little shredded Monterey cheese . No one ate it and that too was thrown away . Very disappointing. read more

Chef Nick spent many years working in high-level French restaurants in New York City. It isn't easy, taking over a beloved establishment, but Chef Nick and Ilyana have done a great job of making this place their own. They have created a very eclectic menu. We loved the crabcakes, the shrimp skewers, and the cheeseburger. But that is just the tip of the menu. American, French and Mexican meals provide options for everyone The prices are incredibly reasonable. You will not find two people more invested in creating a welcoming space. This is a cool neighborhood bar with a friendly vibe. The staff is always nice and courteous. I'll admit that I haven't eaten here yet but the people I've come here with have and all seem to be satisfied. Full range of options from sandwiches, burgers, to. Steamers and shrimp. I usually come for the live shows. They frequently have some great cover bands (including Rock Slyde). Nice relaxing atmosphere to sit and enjoy yourself without the pretentious vibes that other places have. I apparently had a different experience than most. The food was awful. We went to hear the band and have a small diner celebrating my husbands birthday. 4 adult children joined us. the pitchers of beer were well received. my soda tasted weird...dirty? I don't know but soda tasted odd. ordered 3 apps; calamari, nacho s, and the sampler. Very unappealing..like Sam's club stuff but baked not fried and tasted as bad as it looked. Nachos were ok. Based on these really bad apps we both had burgers for dinner. My son had meatball parm sandwich which he ate without comment. Our burgers were a disappointment. The rolls were cheap and old, sticking to the burger. The fries were also cookie sheet baked and nobody would eat them. I hope this was just a bad night because this was a total culinary failure...2 stars 1 for the band and 1 for the beer. Eat before you go. read more

Needs A makeover &.Better Entertainment. Would be Cozier if they put some good dim but colorful lights that set a club style atmosphere. Also they need a more Cheerful Staff .
