It was loaded with little bites of sausages, chicken, shrimp, and scallops. All those proteins were nestled with just the right amount of spices in a rich broth with onions and tomatoes. A nice helping of rice topped off the dish nicely. We shared the grilled catfish fillets. You have an option of one, two, or three fillets. We opted for three for only $21. The filets were good size and nicely grilled with a bit of blackening seasoning. The meal came with a single trip to the salad bar and a side. The salad bar has several options of pasta salads, chopped lettuce with toppings, and a sweet slaw. We chose the blackened new potatoes as our other side. We thought that they were really good. Bread options included: hush puppies, cheese, bread, or yeast rolls. The hush puppies were a little overdone. So we were able to get an order of the cheese bread. Which is large yeast rolls with cheddar cheese, baked in the top. They were really good. The servers are friendly and never seemed to stop moving. The seating is basic older restaurant booths and tables which are comfortable. They offer interesting sayings at each table such as... "I'm not saying it's your fault. I said I'm blaming you." They have a full bar and lounge. Side note-the parking lot is huge and has plenty of room for vehicles towing trailers.

Would have liked the dipping house sauce on the side of that rather than poured in my got bowl. My boyfriend got the tacos and they were huge! The tacos were pretty good! No complaints there. He got hushpuppies too and got a side of the house sauce. Overall, I think I'd rather try another local restaurant next time.

Everything was hot and fresh, but there was very little seasoning or flavor. There was also an issue with the shrimp po' boy. It was specifically requested without sauce, with the sauce on the side, but it was still prepared with sauce. Instead of simply remaking the sandwich correctly, we were asked if it was okay as is, which made it feel like we were being encouraged not to have it remade despite the mistake. So I literally left a 5-star review and completed the survey while we were eating. Then when the check came, they STILL charged us for the expensive appetizers. That already left a bad impression. On top of that, the service was horrible. Took forever just to get seated, forever to get our food, and even longer to get the check. The servers barely checked on us and acted like everything was an inconvenience. The Sprite tasted completely watered down too. Overall just a frustrating experience and definitely not worth the money. Don't promise customers free appetizers if you're still going to charge them anyway.
