It was ...fine. There wasn't much in the way of flavor. The chicken salad was fine but the white bread didn't taste like much of anything. The tomato was a little old and mushy, there wasn't much lettuce, and the shred of bacon added was kind of sad. The macaroni and cheese was overcooked and a bit soft and also just didn't taste fresh. Passing through Dothan, we decided to stop at the Chicken Salad Chick for lunch. I'm down with the Chick Trio; you get to sample three different salads from the many options, and I typically have leftovers. Some of the chicken salad options aren't too exciting to me but I dig the Sassy Scotty so I got two scoops of that and decided to try the Dixie Chick since I love me some onions. Despite the lunch rush, our orders came out promptly. I did think the servings might have been a bit tinier than at the Auburn location, but maybe I was just hungrier this time. I have to give the thumbs up to the Dixie Chick but Sassy Scotty is still tops in my book. J gave me half of her white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, and I found it sweet and moist. It's probably a good thing the Chick Trio doesn't come with a cookie! The bathroom was tidy. I wish they would have real lemon wedges for my drink instead of lemon juice in ketchup packets, but oh well. read more

Today, however, she was very rude to another employee as well. I don't know if this goes unseen, but that is the kind of person you don't want serving your customers in the fast food industry. This was my first visit. I ordered the original chicken salad combo with a scoop of pimiento cheese because I am a p. Cheese freak! The reality is that you should drive over to Publix and hit the deli and get you a cup of their chicken salad.... you would be more impressed. This again tasted like the generic Sysco chicken salad base with additional flavors (pineapple, nuts, grapes etc). The Broccoli Salad was eventless and flavorless. It was dry and gross. (They should just pop it in the microwave and pour some cheese on it or give you real ranch on the side to dip it it. ) 3- A waste of time and money.... Chick Trio is an unbelievable bargain, we got to sample 3 scoops of different chicken salads (between us we had Buffalo Barcley, Olivia's Old South, Fancy Nancy, and Cranberry Kelli, my husband only got original chick which was one scoop). We had the broccoli and pasta side salads, both were good, but the broccoli salad was a stand out with enough bacon for any bacon lover. Because of my excellent experience with the Huntsville store, I stopped in to get a kid's meal for my child's lunch the following day. They informed me they couldn't sell me a kid's meal without the child PRESENT, so I left vowing NOT to return. Recently, however, I stopped by after an outing with my son and ordered a kid's meal and a scoop of Fancy Nancy for myself. I noticed the portions, especially for the kid's meal, were VERY SMALL -- compared to the Huntsville store. I mentioned this to the waiter, and the response was that kid's portions of chicken salad are HALF the adult size - looked like about a tablespoon. I think the Dothan store on Hwy 84 is STINGY with their portions, and I can find better meals for the buck elsewhere. He did like the broccoli salad. read more
