I absolutely love their sushi and dumplings here and the atmosphere is on point, the food is great and the service is fast.

My family has been coming here for a long time since its inception. It started out strong and has sadly lost its way. Fish is not as fresh as it should be and the rolls are so heavily laden with sauces that you can't appreciate the fish. The menu has not changed but items are not available that are on the menu. Since there is not a lot of competition for this category it would behoove them to update the menu and be more authentic to who they started out to be. Not having a liquor or at least a beer and wine license also hurts them. I hope they can figure this out. The owners are very nice, but they need to really get it together. read more

Walking in you become abrehensive, wow was I wrong. Greeted very quickly and seated. Waiter was friendly with a huge smile. We ordered and crossed our fingers. I've been here a number of times in the last 2 years. It was good at first but this last time the food was suspicious. The sushi just did not seem quality and had an odd texture. I'm borderline a sushi connoisseur so trust me when I say proceed with caution with getting their sushi. It wasn't always this way so I don't know if they've had to go with a lesser quality fish supplier or what. Their seafood fried rice was delicious though. Just need clarification on the price upcharge. I bought three basic rolls, and I like my rolls to be tempura-fried. The server, who was really nice, explained to me that there would be an upcharge on the rolls if I wanted to add avocado or cheese, on top of the charge for the tempura frying. He asked the owner for the upcharge price for the roll. The server came back to me with a shocking price: the owner wanted a $5 upcharge for each roll, not including the price to add anything to my roll yet. So the owner told him that the price of the upcharge was more expensive than the original price itself. I am very disappointed and recommend that everyone else not come back to this restaurant. I understand the economic situation, but an upcharge more expensive than the roll itself is ridiculous. Any response from the owner? Or is this restaurant just going to keep upcharging like this? I recently came back here because I heard that it was similar to Sapporo East and that it was near where I live. I went there with a few friends, we got a couple rolls as well as seaweed salad. The food is absolutely fresh (especially the avocado which tasted like really good quality). The staff was very nice and be able to make our food quick and everything else looked very organized and nice for a small restaurant. The food was fantastic. We got nigiri sushi, a couple rolls and tempura shrimp and veggies. Our servers were a team and someone was always checking on us. We also loved the location. So cool to have dinner in buildings with so much history.... (We are from the west coast where our cities and buildings don't have as much history) and This was a special treat and our new favorite sushi place. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon for their lunch special - the regular sushi/sashimi combo comes with a California roll and an assortment of about 5 pieces of sushi, sashimi each. It also comes with a small miso soup & salad! I ordered the spicy salmon roll. Pros: - Miso soup / side salad done very well, tasty without overpowering flavor - Salmon belly sushi&sashimi. Tasted very fresh. Cons: Everything else... - The spicy salmon roll was NOT spicy at all, it tasted like normal salmon. They also add tempura flakes inside the roll, which I'm not particularly a fan of. - California roll had very little rice and lots of avocado, which was great, but 0 krab flavor. It's like it wasn't there. - The tuna,shrimp, and whitefish in the sushi/sashimi were just plain bad. They had a stale taste to them, were a lukewarm temperature (health is important!!!) and little flavor of the fish itself. read more

I came here several time and the sushi was great however the service usually was great with Lauren but this time, a young Asian kid name Albert came to let me know that it was time to checkout and when I asked him I needed more time, he pretty much let me know it was time to go! Great eats for the 2 of us. Had seaweed salad (huge portion) and a house salad (love the ginger dressing). Followed that with gyoza, baked mussels and edamame. This is a lovely little establishment, very clean, comfortable lighting, and low noise level. The waitstaff is very friendly and attentive, quick to seat you, take your order, and follow up. The food was very good and the portions were reasonably sized. My sushi eating friends were pleased with their selections. I had the steak teriyaki, which was served sizzling hot, tender, and flavorful. We also had three or four appetizers which were extremely good and of sufficient quantity for us to share among the three of us.
