The food was okay other than it was a little bit small. The atmosphere is awful. It's more like a carryout than an eat-him place.

This restaurant has been my favorite since I moved to Chapin a few years ago. I love nearly everything they have on the menu from the fried rice (which is the best I've ever had) to the beautiful specialty rolls, and not to mention the dragons egg (deep fried half avocado filled with salmon and covered in sauces). They are always prompt with my order and it's almost always perfect. The only downside is that the inside of the restaurant is tiny and there's only about 6 or 8 tables, so order your food to go. The sushi here is phenomenal! I've never been disappointed with fish I've eaten from here and I've never been (or heard of anyone being) sick from the fish here which is rare for a sushi restaurant. The fish is all fresh and responsibly sourced, and it isn't dyed or anything either. 10/10 on sushi. The reason this gets 4 out of 5 from me is the Miso soup. I LOVE miso soup but I won't eat it from here. It's the only thing on the menu that isn't genuinely delicious and it's actually really gross. It's disappointing because the restaurant's name is "Miso" but their miso soup is bad. The wonton soup is great, the egg drop soup is great, the clear soup is great, but idk what happened to the miso soup. read more

We do not live super close to this area, so chose this take-out location based on the positive online reviews. We could not have been much more disappointed... We ordered two hibachi Teriyaki chicken plates. The chicken had no flavor at all, just tasted like baked wet chicken. The rice tasted like boxed boiled rice. I tried to make it more edible by adding sauce, so I poured the white sauce on it. The flavor of the sauce was good, but it was so runny it sunk straight down through the rice. Was not worth the 25-30 minute wait. The Gentleman ahead of us called his order in and it took 45 minutes for his order to come out. Wish I had gone down the street to Zestos. We LOVE Japanese hibachi food! We are transplants from the MD/DC area and we were thrilled to discover this restaurant. While it isn't a fancy Japanese steakhouse, it does have the excellent food and prices ! I have 2 very picky eaters and they are members of the clean plate club when we eat here. Everyone can get their favorites.. steak, chicken & shrimp plus 1 with just steam rice - orders were exactly as requested. Food was Great ! We have had take out & eat in . This is one of our regular go twos great service great prices. Especially love the crab ragoons. I think they might call them something else but they are definitely the biggest stuffed ones we've ever had anywhere. So, I absolutely love the food here. My problem is how dirty the restaurant. The dust coating the air handler and walls is absolutely disgusting. If the non-cooking area is that dirty, what does the kitchen look like? We are going to have to re-think eating here unless they do a major cleanup. read more

We were hoping for delicious Japanese hibachi. This is the second time we've tried this restaurant, and somehow we forgot from the first time we tried it. It was awful! The chicken is so thin it makes you question what you're eating. The vegetables are diced so small it's hard to even know which vegetable is which. The shrimp sauce is super thin and down. We all left the meal feeling terrible & ended up throwing our left overs away. Not worth yhe $30. The only good thing we can say about this place is that it's located close to where we live and was prepared quickly. We will not be going back. We will make the drive into town to get quality food. read more

Their sushi is AMAZING, and made to order so it's fresh. Also can order three different rolls (16 all together) for like $13. Can't beat it. Also a huge fan of their teriyaki chicken plate, with tons of white sauce of course. Never had a single problem with the quality of their food. I always recommend them. read more

Okay, I could have given 5 stars for the sushi. It was pretty good and tasted fresh. Yet I nearly downgraded them to 3 stars. A child, who belonged to one of the workers, perhaps the owner, was running around with his toys and being a complete nuisance. This is a small place, and I am very tolerant of kids. I miss when my girls were that young. But I draw the line at toys being pushed under my table. I mean, hellllooo. The service could have been faster, but that is okay as the food made up for it. Eat here at least once every two weeks or call order in for take out. Small place but the prices are very reasonable. Sushi is pretty and tastes super fresh. No FISHY smell or taste. When eating there, occasionally there is one of the owners/workers child playing with their toys and rolling truck on floor. Could be issue but everyone that goes there realizes that is a NORM. They stay so busy that it is advisable to call your order in rather than going in and ordering a pickup. Love the rainbow roll, ahi crunch, spicy...they will post a unique one on board for a reasonable price. We tried their Pink Lady but still revert back to my standbys. Occasionally will get the salad with YUMMY Ginger Sauce and love their WonTon Soup. Will serve two adults easily. Get 6 wontons in the container. Very Generous. read more

Always had good food and it's quick. Staff is super friendly. The only complaint would be the vegetables could be drained a little more before putting into the take out containers. Liquids and driving don't always go hand in hand. Other than that, great food. read more

Great food and plenty of it. If you like fresh sushi and places like Miyabi's you will love Miso. It's much cheaper, hibachi is $9-12 a plate instead of $20-30.
