Miss Donuts is a cute local donut shop off Robertson Blvd that's been there for that past 20+ years. It definitely looks rundown on the outside, and the interior itself is what you'd expect from an old shop, but the service is always kind. Parking is metered off Robertson, but it's fairly easy to get residential parking on the same block. I ordered a glazed donut and cinnamon roll topped with sugar. The texture was airy and cakey, but didn't feel as fresh and tasted alright. The glazed had a very light glaze so not too much taste beyond the donut itself. I had a similar experience with the cinnamon roll, which I wish I topped with cinnamon instead. I did come in at 2pm in the day so maybe I'd feel differently if I came in the morning. Overall, 4/10. Would be willing to try other stuff besides a standard glazed as it seems to be praised in other reviews. read more

Cute little donut shop. More of a hole in the wall than a glamorous shop. They have a large assortment of donuts, sandwiches, and drinks. Looked like there are a lot of regulars there too! It makes me happy to see this small business thriving. Cash only like what everyone else is saying. I got a dozen donuts (apple fritters are not included in the dozen). Expect to pay from $10-16 for half to a dozen donuts. Not horrendous considering inflation and increased prices on basically all the ingredients of a donut. It's on my morning commute so I don't mind picking up a box or 2 for the office. Everyone in the office loved it. read more

We were looking for donut shop to hit up after an appointment here in LA before heading back to OC. Found this place here on Yelp. Decent reviews. Their display cases with current selections was approximately 30% full. Now, granted it WAS at around 11:30 am. We were both dying for cinnamon rolls. There were no standard glazed ones. They had cinnamon sugar topped and it looked like, also regular sugar topped. No eclairs or long Johns, filled or unfilled. Hummmmm. Plan B. Okay, so I got a glazed old fashioned and my husband in a quandary settled on six glazed donut holes. We also got a plastic bottle of Coca-Cola. The bill in total was only $5.20. I had left the shop at this point to go across the street at The Empanada Factory! When my husband told me the cost so I could include it in this review, I was surprised. Maybe the male cashier (who was very nice) forgot to add the coke? The old-fashioned donut was moist, the taste was alright. I've had better. My husband inhaled the donut holes before I could get a picture. Oh! And I did tell the shop keeper I found his business on Yelp. Maybe that was why he gave us seven donut holes? My husband said they tasted good and were pretty typical. As other reviewers have said, typical old-school donut shop. A big plus is their FREE parking behind the business. Easy in and out, being at the corner of Robertson and Beverlywood. There is a light at the intersection. Would we go back if we were in the area again? Probably, based on reviews. Great family owned donut shop. I usually stop by on the way to work. Everything is fresh and made daily. The donuts are duh-lish-us!!!! Soft and fluffy. If you want a cinnamon roll from this place, bring your appetite. They are massive. If you're in the mood for a breakfast sandwich, you're in luck. They have that too....made to order. There are some that are premade (grab-n-go style) but if you want something specific, they'll make it for you. Parking can be found on the street in front or there's a small lot in the rear. Coffee, bottled juices, bottled water and milk are your beverage options. This donut shop is everything I look for. read more

Well as much as I love a good donut and I mean there donuts are soft fluffy and just yummy they got me with the glaze is the best ... and one day I bought there bagel ham egg cheese and sausage bagel and I was like WTH is this lol the most amazing sandwich I've ever had I mean yummy yum yum now that is my Friday cheat day spot they are polite super friendly and sweet love this place read more

Go here when I can't get to yum yum. Cash only. Never has options but I also go at weird ass times like early afternoon. Nice people. Go early, bring cash. SURPRISED at all the 4 star reviews which PRAISE this small business!! Yes it's an older shop and YES it's cash only-who cares! That's NO reason to give a great donut place 4 stars or even WORSE I've seen 3 star reviews RANTING about how wonderful this place is! Please realize 3 stars is NOT a good review and 4 stars is just OK to good!! Skip Dunkin (poor excuse for Donuts) and YUMYUM those other corporate conglomerates and support this small business. They ACTUALLY have the kind of donuts I grew up eating as a child. I admit I rarely eat donuts so it has been a long while! So long that the only place we knew of close by was Dunkin Donuts. I was appalled when my bf kept buying from them when he had a craving. Dunkin's donuts are the worst-idk how they stay in business?! The last straw was when he bought my favorite Apple fritter and that darn donut didn't even resemble a bad bear claw! Worse, it didn't even taste like a donut! I put the "fritter" down and left in my car to search for a decent donut shop. I couldn't find one until I traveled out of West Hollywood to Miss Donuts. It's a shame all these corporate places have put other GOOD, small, donut shops out of business. I only needed one Apple fritter but I bought a whole dozen just to support this mom & pop shop. The Apple Fritter ACTUALLY looked like one and was dark brown, crispy land bubbly on the outside Every single donut was just what I expected-FRESH & DELICIOUS! The only donut spot I consistently go to. I love sweets but I don't eat donuts too often and when I do, I come here. For some people, the outside of this place might not look as nice or fancy as some other trendy donut shops but the donuts here taste so great. And yes, we mainly return to a restaurant or food joint because of the quality of their product but what got me coming back was not only for their great donuts. A few months back I was craving a chocolate bar and this place is right next to my home so stopped on my way after work and decided to get one. Then I noticed they also had some maple bars which are my girlfriend's favorite so I got one of those too. And the next part of this story is what made me fall in love with the place. When I told the owner about how I had to get a maple bar for her because they were her favorite he asked me, "have you ever tried maple?" And I never realized I haven't so I answered "actually no." He kindly smiled and added a second maple bar in the bag and said, "I won't charge you for the extra one, but I want you to be able to experience the great taste of a maple bar." This is one of the nicest things any place has ever done for me. I continue to go back now and I don't think the guy recognizes me from that day because he's such a nice person to every customer that's comes here. Small businesses with amazing people like this are the type of places we need to be supporting. This is why I try to only support this donut shop. Thanks read more

This review is based entirely on one chocolate frosted donut with rainbow sprinkles. How does my local hole-in-the-wall donut shop get a glowing review based entirely on the consumption of one solitary donut? It was perfect. It was perfectly crunchy to bite through, soft on the inside, and tasted like heaven. I came in at 2:15pm when we all know they do their baking in the wee hours of the morning... and the donut was still as fresh as if it were made to order. They have magic. They have donut magic. I was really hungry one morning after coming from one of our properties and decided to get a bite here. I was expecting much, but I ordered my all time favorite, Chocolate Old Fashioned and a coffee. When I got to my car and bit into it, Wow!! This is probably the best Old Fashioned I've ever tried. I can't speak about the others, but this won me over. The coffee was also good and strong. Highly recommend apple fritters and maple bars before noon. Slightly crispy on outside, soft inside with great ratio of glaze to donut. Skip the Boston cream, the custard tastes weird. Also has sandwiches but haven't tried. read more

Everyone who loves donuts has a special favorite. That one donut that functions as a benchmark so to speak. Mine is the classic chocolate. That's chocolate icing on a plain cake donut. The other donuts I've had from Miss Donuts have been very good (please read my previous review). But without trying my benchmark donut I couldn't give them better than 3 stars. Today I was finally able to stop by and pick one up. It didn't make it home. Just the right amount of icing and the right kind too. It was perfectly cooked. The outside was just a little crunchy. The inside was, well, cakey. Just like it should be. Not greasy at all. I'm not going to get OCD about this donut. But the point is that it passed my test with flying colors. The tiramisu cream had a slight sourness which I was not too much a fan of. The sweet potato was not too sweet and had a good amount of filling. Creme brulee also had a nice custard inside but probably would've tasted better if eaten on the day of as I had to fridge them for a day before gifting. OVERALL Creamy delicious donuts and excellent service. Come give them a try!
