My impression of the place is that it's airy, with large windows in an industrial modern looking building. Immediately entering the shop, I was greeted with the smell of fragrant coffee. The barista was helpful in sharing all the matcha options I could get so I chose the matcha with lavender syrup. The matcha had a deep green color and blended nicely with a hint of lavender so it wasn't too sweet. Price point felt a bit higher for the flavored matcha options. Easy street parking in the neighborhoods. Went in the afternoon so it wasn't that busy. The outdoor patio was gorgeous, spacious, and had a really cute aesthetic. Would totally meet up with some friends here since it's a friendly vibe outside.

I really liked the vibes of this cafe. There was tons of seating outside in their courtyard which was actually quite cute. The drinks were made pretty well.

Bitter matcha and that's a good thing!! There's definitely some places that put way too much milk or make their matcha lattes so sweet that you can't taste the matcha anymore and kills the whole vibe. I originally got the matcha latte with no sweetener but I went to go get some vanilla sweetener added bc the matcha was too bitter even for me. Also ordered a croissant and it was alright. I wasn't in a bread mood in the morning so I guess I should have just avoided that lol. The workers were super nice and understanding as well. They even remade my croissant since it was overcooked. I didn't mind either way but that just shows how dedicated they are to good service. Overall, the drinks-- or the one I tried at least was great and maybe next time I'll be in a bread mood to try a different pastry. Definitely will come back again if I'm ever in the area for work!!

I came here because I wanted to try their Guava Matcha latte. Unfortunately, it just did not hit for me. I felt like the combination was a little odd and the guava added a very grainy texture. I definitely prefer mango or strawberry flavors in my matcha. I also tried the Turkey Provolone Croissant which was pretty good. It was big and crispy/fluffy but the filling was definitely heavily in one area of the croissant.

I don't know when Muso opened in West Adams but I made it here in January 2025 and wish I'd discovered them sooner. I came here around 9:30 am on a Sunday morning and the coffeeshop was super quiet. There was no line to order and the staff who were working were friendly and welcoming. There are a couple of seats inside the coffeeshop but it's very tight inside. Most of the seating is outdoors, and there are a mixture of low tables and chairs, as well as benches that are more optimal for anyone who wants to work on a laptop. I got two drinks, which came out very quickly. I got the coconut matcha cream top and the chai latte. Both were excellent. The coconut matcha would be a refreshing drink on a hotter day. The chai latte was comforting, and not super sweet as they can be sometimes. I'd rank this as one of my favorite coffee shops in LA and will be back.

mu.sō Coffee is such a beautiful addition to the West Adams area. The space is clean and modern, with a calm, welcoming vibe that makes it a great place to relax or get a little work done. Although the shop itself is on the smaller side, there's a large outdoor patio that gives you plenty of space to sit and enjoy your coffee. Dogs are welcome, and you'll usually see plenty of them on weekends. The coffee is consistently delicious, and I love their creative cold foams, which are usually seasonal and always fun to try. The chocolate chip cookie is also a must. Customer service is great. Street parking only, but it's usually manageable.

Creative drinks, nice + big patio, lots of street parking. Our barista was friendly and the drinks were beautiful. I got the lychee matcha and my partner got the guava matcha. I preferred the lychee matcha, but it's good to know that it's not a matcha latte like I thought it was.

Note: this is a review on only one drink and I will provide an updated review as I try more drinks. Previous yelpers mentioned that this coffee shop is kind of hidden while lots of patio seating and little indoor seating. Upon glancing at the menu we were drawn to lychee nectar matcha cream top. We decided to give it ago. We also wanted to try the breakfast burritos but they were sadly unavailable. Upon receiving it, we noted it had a a citrus taste - kind of like orange Yakult with a strong kick of matcha. It was a unique taste - but not bad at all, I would get this again. I want to come back and try the dutch mocha along with a standard latte and update this review but for now this gets a 5.

Coffee is solid, they have a court yard where you can chill and read or do work. WiFi is okay, I haven't tried video calls or anything but it seemed like you could browse the web on mobile and stuff. Service is friendly, there's a parking lot that cliffs of id uses for the overflow lot that's walking distance from this coffee shop. They used to have a discount for cliffs of id members, can't remember if it was temporary or not.

The first thing that's undeniable at this place is how beautifully it's designed. I'm a big fan of the minimalist storefront and interior, while still maintaining personality through the fridge of offerings (never seen a fridge burrito in a cafe), cozy seating, and some books to flip through while enjoying your drink. The outdoor seating area of course is a huge up - great for studying, reading, or a weekend yap session with a good friend. Onto the drink - I got a Lavender Cream Top Americano. Drinks overall are on the pricier side and this wasn't an exception, but I could at least tell the coffee quality was good! The lavender cream is also quite tasty and and the shop doesn't skimp on the amount to allow you taste the drink as a whole rather then as two separate layers. The owner was prompt at taking our order and could tell the team was working efficiently together on a busy Saturday afternoon. Slight nitpick, but would've liked maybe just some info on the bag of beans for sale even if it's not a huge draw if the shop, even just stating it's the shop's espresso blend would be nice to know for those who might want a bag.

Beautiful location. Shop itself is pretty small, but there's plenty of seating outside. Drinks menu was straightforward with some unique flavors and staff was really friendly. Got the lychee nectar matcha cloud, Guava matcha latte, and brownie. Drinks were both pretty solid in terms of matcha. Their elements could be a tad more sweeter for me. Lychee nectar has that sour profile so I wished the matcha foam was a tad sweeter to negate that. And the guava puree was on the tart side as well so I wished that to be a bit sweeter too. Brownie was really good. I recommend getting coffee if ordering that. The texture of it basically melted away inside your mouth.

This cafe is great for relaxing and is a beautiful place to take pictures or draw at. There's both inside and outdoor seating and the entire property is very very spacious. Great for large groups or for a solo trip! I had gone on a Sunday afternoon and it was not too crowded and fairly quiet. Love that they don't blast music. The drinks are on the pricier side but they did taste pretty good so I would recommend this place for people who love visiting nice spaces as one off trips. LYCHEE NECTAR MATCHA CREAM TOP (7/10) - $9 Got this drink since I've never seen a lychee matcha drink. Great for those who are lychee lovers! Personally I don't love the lychee nectar but my boyfriend who does really liked it. The drink is not too sweet and has a very subtle tangy taste. - free street parking - Lots of seating for large groups, duos, and solos - Free WiFi - Bathrooms available downstairs - Sells both drinks and pasteries! - Dog friendly This cafe is great for relaxing and is a beautiful place to take pictures or draw at. It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I've ever had at Zinc. I've been coming here on and…read moreoff for the past four years and have never experienced customer service this bad. We started with coffee. My boyfriend ordered a mocha, and I ordered a salted caramel latte. His drink was fine, but mine had absolutely no flavoring. As a former barista, I could immediately tell it was just a plain iced latte. I politely asked the waitress if they had forgotten the syrup, and she insisted, "There is syrup in it, but I can ask them to add more." I knew there wasn't any syrup, but I didn't want to argue, so I said, "Sure, please add more." A few minutes later, the manager came over and told me they actually didn't have salted caramel. So I asked if I could just get a regular caramel latte instead. She then told me they couldn't make that either because they were out of caramel sauce, the very reason they couldn't make the salted caramel in the first place. So why hand me a plain iced latte and tell me it had syrup when you knew you didn't even have the ingredients? Why not simply come back and let me know you were out and ask if I'd like something else? Instead, I was given a regular latte at the price of a flavored one (plus they later charged me for the syrup they never even added). For context, I had originally ordered a dirty chai, which they also couldn't make. So that's two drinks they didn't have, yet no one thought to communicate that before serving me something completely different. When I told the manager I'd look back at the menu for another option, she responded, "Okay... are you going to tell the waitress what drink you want?" I just looked at her, confused, and said, "Well... yeah?" How else was I supposed to order a replacement? The interaction came across as unnecessarily rude. Then it was time to order food. My boyfriend ordered the truffle burger, and I ordered the French toast. The waitress came back a few minutes later and said they couldn't make the French toast. No problem, I told her I'd also have the truffle burger. She acknowledged it, wrote it down, asked how I wanted it cooked, and what side I wanted. I ordered it medium-well with fries. So both burger orders were sent in at the same time. About 20 minutes later, the food arrived, but only my boyfriend's burger and an extra side of fries that we never ordered. At that point, we didn't even bother saying anything about the fries because we were trying to avoid making things more difficult. We waited another 20 minutes (even though it was so slow). My boyfriend finished eating, and my burger still hadn't come out. Finally, we asked for the check and requested that my burger be removed since it never arrived. That's when the waitress told us I had never ordered a second burger. I was honestly speechless. I reminded her that she had taken my order after telling me they couldn't make the French toast. She had written it down, asked how I wanted it cooked, and asked what side I wanted. Her response was that she thought I meant only my boyfriend's burger. That explanation made no sense because my boyfriend's order had already been taken before she took mine. It honestly felt like we were being gaslit over something as simple as ordering a burger. To make matters worse, after we paid and were finally leaving, I looked at the receipt and realized I had been charged for the salted caramel latte that I never actually received. We had to go back yet again. Thankfully, a different employee, not the waitress or the manager helped us. They were friendly, understanding, and quickly corrected the charge. I'm not sure if management has changed, but this entire experience was unnecessarily frustrating from beginning to end. Everything that could have gone wrong did. Honestly, I should've taken the "B" health grade posted on the window as a warning. We ended up walking over to Blue Bottle next door for coffee instead, and I'd absolutely recommend going there if you're looking for a place that actually values customer service. After four years of coming to Zinc, this experience has me seriously questioning whether I'll ever be back.

I even saw some people bring some books to read outside in the sun on the benches and while I don't have that free time yet, it's definitely a goal to come back to do that. Shout out to the lovely cashier who is very patient with my order and everyone who was very kind.

I think there's only 4 or 5 dedicated parking spots available out front so you'll likely have to street park unless you get lucky. It can be difficult to find as the entrance is more on Santa Fe than it is on Mateo. I ordered an iced chai latte and my date ordered a pour over. I think he was pretty satisfied with his drink but my drink was mediocre. Chai lattes are my go-to so it's easy for me to compare and the drink here just doesn't have as much flavor as I expected and tasted watery. Not itching to return but if I did, I'd order an açaí bowl or a pastry as those seem pretty good.

I had many questions, and both he and his team addressed every single one with patience, care, and attention to detail. It's clear that Dave was born to host events! That level of guidance makes all the difference when you're nervours... that patience and guidance it's exactly what you want in a venue partner. Prank was an excellent choice for our event. The location is fantastic, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the drinks and food were outstanding. Thank you so much. We will absolutely recommend Prank and keep it on our radar for future events in LA.

The open patio, the bar area and how it wraps around the corner where there is a smaller intimate section. The music was awesome, the bartender has a great pour and the people seemed to be really having a great time. As I look around I see there is an open upstairs area that looks down onto the first level. So cool right? I had a conversation with two regulars and they swear by the menu. Plans are made to come back and I must try the food when I do. Cheers!!

Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that stood out from the first bite to the last. The ambiance was welcoming and the art was tasteful. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. We ordered the tostaditas de atún agua chile negro, beet salad, carne asada taco and Al pastor taco and watched the World Cup game. Distrito Catorce combines exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. It's the kind of place that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Definitely plan on coming back to watch more World Cup games.

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

Made a reservation and our table was ready inside the air conditioned dining room with a fantastic view of the open kitchen. Dining is also available on the outdoor patio or at the kitchen counter! Service throughout the meal was excellent. Started off with the biscuits with cured ham and it was world class. The biscuits were super light and went extremely well with the butter-like spread along with the cured ham! The cucumber appetizer was also excellent and super refreshing for a warm summer afternoon! This was also served with slices of super fresh toast. Thse soft shell crab was excellent as it was lightly fried and served over a bed of super fresh vegetables! The hen of the woods mushrooms dish was also a standout dish served over some polenta cakes which were also excellent! The hanger steak was decent and may have been the weaker dishes for lunch. The barramundi entree was perfectly cooked with super crispy skin along with a moist interior. Ended off lunch with dessert which was also excellent! Parking may be trickier within the Arts District. Parking right outside the district may be the answer! ~$65/head after tax and gratuity for lunch.
