I've been coming to Miss Pho for several years - hands down it's the best Vietnamese restaurant between Jacksonville, Sneads Ferry and Surf City. If you're ordering to-go, it's ready within the ten to fifteen minutes it takes you to get here. When you dine in, the service is always prompt. The pho is pretty consistent, and you can't go wrong with an order of spring rolls or shrimp eggrolls. The food was okay, the chicken was dry, clearly old. Be advised that the menu found online apparently isn't updated, they apparently do not have items that the online menu says that they do. After we received our food, no server ever came by to ask if we needed anything, how it was, etc. Also, we were supposed to pay up front once done, however, no one ever told us that nor was it made clear anywhere, so we were sitting there waiting for a bit. Truly a great experience. I have not had Pho in some time and one of my neighbors recommended Miss Pho and I am glad they did. The large Pho was indeed large and they did not skimp on the meat as many places do. The broth was a great temperature when it made it to the table and it was delicious. My wife got the Shrimp Pad Thai and the portion was large and she said it was very good. The service was fast and efficient. We did not have to wait to forever to place our order and the food was on the table quickly. The place is what most Pho places are like. Clean and lightly decorated. Pretty good! Got the beef special. I also got shrimp spring roll and a Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was great. Sweet but not too sweet. I think the noodles were a little overcooked. They were kinda chewy. I thought maybe they were a special type at first like mixed in with the other noodles. My freind and I got the exact same thing but he had more noodles and less broth. I think people live in here. That doesn't deter me. It's like an apartment that has a very large kitchen. Came in and people were sitting on the floor eating. Kinda strange since there is plenty of seating. Place isn't too bad. If I was local I'd go here once a month. read more

Came here for dinner on a Sunday because my friend was really craving noodles. Parking lot large with lots of spots. Easily able to be seated, not many people inside. The workers were very attentive and served us quickly. The menu was a lot larger than I thought it would be. They had bowls, pho, and some Thai dishes. I ordered a noodle bowl. It did the job. Nothing super special. The meal didn't have a lot of flavor. The portion was pretty good and I was happily full afterwards. I liked the egg roll that came with the bowl I chose! Very crispy! We walked in at 7 pm, only one customer but thought it likely gets busier later on a Friday night. Food is passable: Pho noodles but sparse in sliced beef, and instead of basil you get cilantro. Do not waste money on Thailand selection. The rice dishes came with lukewarm rice and meat, lack taste and dry. Meat was likely premade and just heated. The Boba pearls are not fully cooked... Lemonade lack lemon other than sugar water. When we asked whether it can be replaced with less sugar, more ice and water were added. There no empathy... just going through the motions. Server was indifferent and going through the motion. Not customer at all. It may be a "Vietnamese" restaurant but made for the uninitiated and you only get what they serve. Excellent pho quick clean and a good price. I ordered to go I should have called it in an just picked it up but there is value in looking at the place. I ordered the raw steak and spring rolls to go. They packaged the broth in one container the noodles and meat in another. Remember the steak is raw and it cooks in the broth so there is a little blood. The garnish is in a separate container. So good the food was excellent I did not eat all the noodles but drank the broth it was so good. The spring rolls we average nothing fancy they were good. I would definitely go back. read more

First time coming here and I've gotta say, the service was great and the food was absolutely delightful! I ordered the beef pho with an appetizer of pork and shrimp spring rolls. The comfort I received when i sipped on the broth is just *chef's kiss* The sauce that came with the spring rolls, no idea what it was but it was goooood. Stopped here for dinner after a lovely day on the pier. The food was great and the environment was good. Literally the best soft shell crab I have had, hands down. If you like soft shell crab, you will love this dish, let me know if you agree. The size of the crabs, the savory batter, cooked to perfection - made them finger-licking good. We also had the Seafood Pho, it was good, the shrimp were succulent and loaded with flavor-- usually they don't have flavor, but the shrimp were the highlight of the dish. The spring rolls, summer rolls in NY, were also highlights of this place - not the rolls themselves, however tasty, is was the peanut sauce. Literally the best in the area, they could use it as a desert if they wanted to. We really enjoyed it, it brought the rolls to another level. Try it out and let me know what you think. I would have given them a 5 out 5 , but they didn't have the traditional Thai Ice-tea. The had Thai- tea, and even comes with ice, but its not the same thing. The Pho was great and the broth was very flavorful. Beware if you use a credit card to pay they will charge you a 3% transaction fee.

We are staying at Topsail beach and discovered this Vietnamese restaurant when we went grocery shopping. The food is great and service is quick. I had the shrimp spring roll, lemon balm chicken with steamed rice. It was delicious! I'd like to try the Pho next time and before we go back home.It's a large space with plenty of tables and it's clean and comfortable. All in all a very pleasant experience. read more

We have tried the food here multiple times and it has never been good. Even the drinks we were given (Boba) they gave us OLD and hard/stale boba in our teas. TWICE. The food is some of the worst vietnamese food I have ever had honestly. It was old, stale, and did not taste authentic. The kitchen staff were not following proper health code standards as they were throwing food away without then washing their hands before touching customers food orders, sneezing and coughing all in the kitchen without yielding their mouth or nose, and showed us irritation when we told them our order was incorrect. It is also quite expensive for what you get, the online prices are not up to date with the price they give you in store. read more

I have never been to a Vietnamese restaurant. This certain one was very pleasing. The food was great and you could tell that all of it was fresh. The chow mien and wontons were good but the phad thai was definitely the best thing they had. This place is definitely a little pricey, it costed 70$ for all the food you see in the photos. The service was normal, nothing great. The ambiance of the restaurant was what you would think a Chinese restaurant would look like in the inside. The bathrooms are a little dirty and the tables are a little sticky but overall this is a good restaurant I do recommend. read more

I went here a few months ago and ordered spring rolls and chicken pad Thai. We didn't get crispy rolls - we got some veggie roll thing and my pad Thai tasted like it had fish sauce in it. I don't eat fish so I let the server know and she argued with me telling me I was wrong. I love Pad Thai and know how it should taste but she refused to listen. I ended up returning my food and waiting for my husband to eat his Pho (which he loved) and ordering myself a pizza on the way home. I won't be back. read more

I visited Miss Pho for the first time this weekend with a friend, as we had both been clamoring to try their food for some time. We were not particularly impressed. As we perused the menu, we were glad to see so many options. We ordered the shrimp & pork spring rolls (number 1 on the menu) to start; they were packed full of crisp lettuce and carrots and were everything a spring roll should be. However, we realized halfway through eating them that as good as they were, they hadn't brought us what we ordered; we'd somehow ended up with the chicken spring rolls (number 2). For her entree, my friend ordered the lemongrass pork chop on rice with fresh vegetables (number 35). The pork chop was delicious, but the rice and vegetables (basically a salad) were bland and did nothing to complement the meat. My selection was number 22, the combination seafood with rice noodles in broth. My first sip of broth was spicy, letting me know that once again, I'd been served the wrong thing. Our server said he'd miswritten my order as number 21, and the kitchen rectified it quickly. The broth in my soup was delicious, and it was filled with plenty of fresh broccoli florets and noodles. The addition of the fresh sprouts, jalapeño slices, and lime made it even better. There were three large shrimp, perfectly cooked in the hot broth. However, the fish balls and crab stick were not good, both having an odd, unpleasant texture and flavor. In addition, if there was any squid in the soup (per the menu description), I couldn't find it. The positives are that the restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly and very eager to please. Passable Vietnamese food, but I most appreciated the location in Snead's Ferry. The BBQ pork with mint spring roll, which were not fried and what I've come to associate as summer rolls, were decent with the peanut sauce being excellent. This appetizer is always best when very, very fresh and these were not the freshest I've ever had. My lemongrass pork was not cooked to order, although it was warm and still tasty; I enjoyed it. My dining companion's pork chop also did not appear to be cooked to order, although the accompanying egg was obviously just off the grill and perfectly fried. We both found the accompanying fish sauce was a touch sweeter than we usually expect; we thought it was very nice. The lettuce inside our spring rolls and served with our entrees was very yellow and a tad wilted; it detracted from the food and seems like something easily corrected. Service was friendly and helpful with our food served quickly. The restaurant is in the corner location of an average, generic strip mall. It was a bit uncomfortable feeling, but I was thrilled to have any Vietnamese food in Snead's Ferry. It is not worth a long drive for the food at Miss Pho, but if you are in the area, it's definitely worth a try. read more

Sorry but 10.99 for a huge bowl of soup with noodles, shrimp, crab, and veggies is NOT over priced. We had four of use, ordered about 5 extras and total came out to $81 after tip. I was visiting family in the area and was shocked to see a Vietnamese spot in the Ferry. I stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the place was empty. The restaurant is nicely decorated, very clean and inviting. The staff were very friendly. I ordered the pork bahn mi and was super excited about having one because I eat them a lot at home in NYC. My cousin ordered the chicken pho. He stated his pho was delicious and there were no issues. When I arrived at my family's house I thought they forgot to add my sandwich because it was light. I opened my package and saw this tiny sandwich. I couldn't believe how small it was for the price of about $8. Surprisingly the taste was very delicious. It had the similar seasonings I am used to and I devoured it in about three bites which isn't good, LOL. I was starving after I ate that tiny sandwich. Since the bread is so small you would think the ingredients would be hearty but they weren't. Unfortunately, unless those bahn mi get more fulfilling they cant get my funds for a half sandwich. read more
