The property is a 2 min walk to Main Street and next door to the only Lakeside Chili's in the US, score! No one appeared to be watching the television; most of us were simply trying to enjoy breakfast and conversation. What was particularly puzzling was that the front desk employee continued returning to the breakfast area, even going back into the kitchen, which seemed inappropriate, and turning the volume back up each time. At one point, she raised her voice at the breakfast attendant, which I found unnecessary and unprofessional. I genuinely felt bad for the breakfast staff member, who handled the situation with patience and grace. In my many years of travel, I have never stayed at a hotel where the television in the breakfast area had the volume turned up. It is always muted and caption only, if it is on at all, and the front desk staff typically stay out of breakfast operations entirely.
