I read all the reviews here for the one in Brandon before coming. Let me say this...the military, police, EMS, and firemen get special treatment..KUDOS! I really like and respect that. I went this afternoon, and I will say a few things about the place. I like the way it is run..a clean ship, and a smoother running engine. They were flawless. I got a pulled pork platter with baked beand and green beans. Now, the green beans were some totally kick butt stuff...very much Southern style, as how my mom made. The baked beans were ok...not bad at all, but not remarkable. The pulled pork,well, that was the same. If someone fed it to me, I might have guessed it came from somewhere else. Overall, it was a great experience..I think what struck me is that it took until age 60 to walk into a BBQ joint that didn't serve dinners. Sure, lots offer al la carte, because many want take out and will make their sides...but if you want a dinner, you choose a meat, and then pay full price each for your sided....the pork dinner I got that is commonly under $10 elsewhere totaled $12 this way...It was good, but not that good...consider offering DINNERS. I love Mission BBQ! Their food is amazing and their customer service is phenomenal. I went in with my baby and had to place a large order to bring home. The cashier who took my order was so helpful and recommend different ways to piece together the best order since several people had duplicate side items so that we go the best deal. I love saving money so I was super grateful about that. Not only was the cashier amazing, but several other employees offered to help me outside when my order was ready. They told me to just come grab them and they would help me out to my car. Great food, great customer service, and they support our veterans?! They have earned my business forever. read more

Made my first visit to Mission bbq on Brandon Blvd. tonight. Ordered a 3 meat sampler plate of turkey, brisket and pulled pork.Outstanding !! The sauces I tried were very good as well.The restaurant was very clean, comfortable and well organized. Very good BBQ. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Good size portion, very tender and tasty flavor. Service was great and prices very reasonable. Large selection of different sauces to add to the meat. Loved the decor and the patriotic theme of the restaurant. read more

This place supports the armed forces, has great BBQ and super friendly staff. The brisket comes two different ways, and the sausage has awesome flavour and a nice snap when you bite in. Different sauces available for your personal preference. read more

The best brisket I've had. Lots of good sauce choices but the ribs and brisket were so good, you didn't need or want sauce. The people and atmosphere were terrific. Wish there was one in Orlando. We'll be back when we are in town again. read more

We had the mac n cheese with brisket and the pulled chicken sandwich with fries. Food and service was fantastic! You can tell a lot about a BBQ spot by their sauce and sweet tea and theirs was all delicious. Definitely recommend! read more

Pulled pork sandwich are great!!!! However food it sometime cold. But it's overall amazing. I call in orders at least 1-2 a week.

The best brisket in Brandon. Love every experience. Especially the singing of the national anthem at noon everyday.

Amazing BBQ food !!! I eat here all the time brisket is mouth watering, Mac & cheese delicious and best green beans around. Friendly helpful staff and even better management!!! Recently was in and they ran out of brisket but came back at time said to be done and the manager paid for my meal. I live close by so it wasn't an issue to come back but such a nice thing to do!! My husband and I went for dinner. We each had the brisket sandwich. The meat was incredibly SALTY and on a stale bun. I had the cheesy potatoes, which were very bland and my husband had fries, which were fine. I love sweet tea but theirs is cloyingly sweet. The employees seem very friendly. The best BBQ I have ever had. The staff was amazing! Dana was incredibly helpful and friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and they kept our cake cold until we were ready for it. Ribs are really good, but the workers are rough to say the least and you won't complain about anything in person believe me. Not much for customer Sevice of any kind. Although I went for the ribs not for the atmosphere. Other items not much to brag about as with the two pieces of plain wonder bread they slap on your plate. read more

Went there this weekend I ordered a kids meal with ribs and mac and cheese and a side of fries my husband got pulled pork and ribs with mac and cheese and we got the same amount of ribs. Only 2 small pathetic ribs super dry. The pulled pork was super small also and dry. The mac and cheese wasn't even good. Everything in the restaurant is "labeled" with blue masking tape and gives off a cheap vibe. The lids and straws are in a tool box looked cool but only 1 person can get a lid at a time. Neither of us finished are $26 lunch we got 2 meats meal and kids meal for that price super expensive for not much food. When leaving we saw they keep the wood they smoke the meat with next to there dumpster!! Seeing that made me feel sick we will never go back here. My husband has the shits now read more

Quite the conundrum trying to review this place. Food was actually really very good, tried the 3 meat sampler with Brisket (awesome), Pulled Pork (delicious), and the Jalapeño sausage (a little chewy for me, but still very tasty), and got French Fries (hand cut and yummy) and Cole Slaw (not to shabby)as my sides. Also came with corn bread, which was also, you guessed it, really good. I was so impressed, I went back a few days later and got the Chopped Brisket sandwich (slathered in sauce, but still good) with a side of Mac and cheese and a side of cheesy potatoes, both were really tasty. Staff was very friendly, and they do a great job of getting the orders out quickly and efficiently, even double checking my order before I left (love that attention to detail). I also like how the kitchen is open air, and that you can see the cooks taking the meats out of the smoker and slicing them not far from the front counter (great concept). Okay, so after reading all of that, you'd think 5 stars all the way right? Well, I was very close, but ladies and gentlemen, here's my BIG problem. This place is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!! Everything is a-la carte, so brace yourself for the sticker shock. I realize that getting fresh, quality ingredients might hit your wallet somewhat at the cash register, but come on guys, this isn't Miami Beach or NYC. Weez be a hard workin, blue colla kinda town folks!!! This is definitely one of my family's new favorite local bbq places! We recently had a baby and a friend dropped off a bag of Mission's. We loved all of sauces, the smoked meat was delicious, but the absolute highlight of the meal was the strawberry shortcake! This is the best BBQ place!! We will not eat BBQ anywhere else. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. My husband ordered every item on the menu, including all of the sides, and everything was delicious. I have two picky eaters and they gobbled down the mac and cheese and french fries. This place is wonderfully patriotic. Everyday at noon the entire restaurant stops eating and associates stop working to stand and sing the national anthem with the flag hanging in the center of the room. First time in and it was just Ok. Tried the brisket,turkey and chili. All items were a little to salty for our liking. Staff was friendly!

The first time I went was pretty good. I got the ribs. The second time I got the brisket and sausage combo platter. My wife ordered the chopped brisket sandwich and got the sliced brisket sandwich. So delicious! I've had the pulled pork and pulled chicken and both were fabulous! All the sauces are delicious! Everyone is very nice, helpful and respectful. I've never been there at noon until last week and was blown away when everything stopped and they played the National Anthem. Everyone stood up with their hands on their heart and sang along.
