It's a mix feeling to leave a one-star review because the staff were pretty nice and helpful during my two dental filling appointments. But in my last appointment, the doctor (who I don't want to call out here) left TWO scratches on my face. And what makes it really hard to digest is that no one seemed to address it until I found out myself after I walked out. I also didn't know how bad the scars were until the anesthesia faded away. The scars are healed now with two marks on me, it's so disappointing that doctor and nurse didn't address the issue or apologize for the accident. Not going to return again.

Mission Dental moved 2 doors down in the last couple of months. The new address is 2482 Mission Street. The old offices were dark and worn, but they have put a huge amount of money and care into the new suite. The electronics are top of the line and they have computerized all patient records so they can pull up your history immediately from any room. I have seen all 3 dentists here (Drs. Yang, Shiosaky and Ceniceros) and I will take any of the 3 when I call for an appointment because they are all very competent. I have a rebuilt jaw, and this wasn't the case with other dentist offices I have visited. The front desk is bi-lingual, and prompt about getting me in at the appointment time. They have always been able to get me the first appointment of the day at 8:30 am. The fees are competitive and they accept most types of insurance. As an example, the cost for my filling was $114.For follow up care such as the filling where the patient pays out of pocket, they have a form which calculates everything for you before you agree to the procedure. I went there for the first time 3 years ago because I had a Val-Pak coupon, and they earned my repeat business. They are also between the 16th and 24th Street BART stations with buses running on Mission every couple of minutes.

I was referred to this dental office. Front desk and staff are great! There's a tv in the lobby and Netflix for your kids. I'd have to say that I've never felt more welcomed coming in the first time.

Everyone is so friendly, helpful and professional. Randy is awesome and super patient when dealing with billing/insurance issues. The whole team communicates well and is really good about sending reminders with enough time to reschedule if needed. I recommend this office for anyone with any nervousness or anxiety regarding dental work. Dr. Ordonez is really calm and listens to any concerns I bring up. I went to Mission Dental Group for a lower premolar filling on Feb 10, 2026 with Dr. Rosa Marie…read moreOrdonez. The visit was because a prior filling had come out while flossing. As a concerned patient, I asked for basic guidance on proper flossing technique so I could avoid this happening again. Dr. Ordonez refused and said that kind of education is "usually for cleanings" and that I should schedule one instead. That felt dismissive given it was directly related to why I was there. During the procedure, an instrument contacted my upper tooth and Dr. Ordonez said "sorry" at the time. That evening, after the numbness wore off, my wife noticed a chip on that upper tooth that wasn't there before. The next morning (Feb 11) I called the office to report it. The practice manager/front desk (Randy) was dismissive and said, "we don't know when we can get you in," and suggested 2 PM. I explained 1 PM was the only time I could make due to work. He said "maybe we can get you in" and wouldn't confirm until I called back again and pushed for it. Before being seen, I told the front desk I was uncomfortable returning to Dr. Ordonez and asked to see a different dentist. That request was refused. During the Feb 11 visit, Dr. Ordonez was defensive and denied responsibility. When I said her instrument hit my tooth the day before and she had said "sorry," she said she didn't remember and would need to "check her notes." I was also told the notes weren't even completed yet, which didn't inspire confidence. When I asked if the edge could be polished, she said she didn't want to because I would "just come back and complain that it's too short." She also said words to the effect of, "I can't help it if you don't take good care of your teeth," which felt like blaming me rather than addressing what happened. The tone was dismissive and confrontational. A small composite repair was placed, but the way this was handled--from the front desk to the dentist--was not professional or patient-centered. I escalated this to the owner, Dr. Growney, and his response was to defend the office and minimize what happened rather than address the conduct, the refusal to let me see another dentist, or the dismissive communication. The overall message was essentially: "We did nothing wrong," which felt like enabling this behavior instead of holding anyone accountable. Mistakes can happen. How you handle them matters. In this case, the defensiveness, refusal to accommodate, and dismissive responses from the dentist, the front desk, and the owner were the real problem. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this practice.

The office was also so clean and I loved the iPad set up to watch shows during the procedures with comfy headphones - such a nice addition! The whole process felt so organized and seamless, Dr. Soto made me feel instantly at ease, and I ended up getting the top front four teeth done to also correct for some spacing that I've been self conscious about since middle school! The results were beyond perfect and I'm so so happy - my only regret is not doing them sooner! 100/10 would recommend!!

Nevertheless, she asked me why I was calling. You don't review your messages before calling someone back? On top of this, she was rude, short, unfriendly, and uncooperative. She told me Soto is only doing cosmetic and no general dentistry now. Told her I need 4-6 implant crowns. She said he's only doing veneers and full smile makeovers. Are crowns not cosmetic? I don't know how these people get hired with such abysmal people skills. In any event, I won't ever know if his work is any good or not, only that this office staff was a huge turn-off. Train your employees properly, people. They are a reflection of you and your business.

I originally found Dr. Ho after a nightmare experience at other dental clinics trying to get a routine cavity filled. I had gone to several different dentists who repeatedly hit a nerve during the procedure, causing acute, agonizing pain. I was incredibly anxious, but when I finally switched to Dr. Ho, he and his team took care of the problem cavity with absolutely zero pain. I've been a loyal patient ever since. Their care and responsiveness are truly unbelievable. On a holiday weekend, an old filling (done by a completely different dentist) fell out. I texted Dr. Ho a picture of the tooth, and he responded within mere minutes. In less than an hour from sending that text, I was sitting in his chair getting it fixed. Dr. Ho and his staff are super prompt, deeply care about their patients' comfort, and consistently deliver top-tier care. If you are looking for an amazing, trustworthy dentist, this is the place. If you're thinking about switching dentists, look no further. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

First off, they are constantly rescheduling appointments last minute for no other reason than the doctors want to adjust their schedules and leave early. This is super annoying when I plan my workday around this and have to adjust and find a new time. Second, on my visit last year they had to do a major filling, when I pointed out that area on prior visits they said it was fine, and all of a sudden it was a major problem. While maybe things could take a turn for the worse in 6 months, I think they weren't assessing it the right way. Hard to believe we go from fine to major cavity in 6 months. On my last visit, which was also rescheduled, the hygienist seemed to be very new and didn't use the little mirror while doing the cleaning, seemed like the cleaning was very light and not thorough. When I asked if the dentist was coming to check-in, they said she left, and since she saw me 6 months ago that it was all fine. I'm used to the dentist always checking in and making sure things are fine. Hygienists are not qualified to check for cavities or compromised fillings.
