The office was also so clean and I loved the iPad set up to watch shows during the procedures with comfy headphones - such a nice addition! Had left the details in my voice message to them as well as in response to (what I consider to be) the invasive text message I received from them after leaving voicemail. Nevertheless, she asked me why I was calling. You don't review your messages before calling someone back? On top of this, she was rude, short, unfriendly, and uncooperative. She told me Soto is only doing cosmetic and no general dentistry now. Told her I need 4-6 implant crowns. She said he's only doing veneers and full smile makeovers. Are crowns not cosmetic? I don't know how these people get hired with such abysmal people skills. In any event, I won't ever know if his work is any good or not, only that this office staff was a huge turn-off. I broke a veneer, (front tooth!!!!), and his staff worked hard to get me in despite his packed schedule. From the video consult to the final fitting of my veneers I was met with nothing but expertise, confidence and the seemingly sole agenda to find what my wants were while fulfilling the needs as well. I went to see Dr Soto at my wife's suggestion for a consultation. I have some major work going on in my mouth: implants, bridges, crowns, root canals, you name it. Since we were just starting with COVID, Dr Soto did a virtual consultation - I was impressed how much he was able to gather and propose based on just this virtual meeting. Thankfully in June his office was open again, and I went to see him in person. His office is immaculate, his COVID precautions top notch. He did the consultation and right after proposed the detailed plan for my restorations - and told me he can be done with me in 2 visits. I had been told by other dentists my case was complex and required a long time to prepare and resolve, but Dr Soto came across as extremely confident that he can get this done. I spent a lot of time looking at his Instagram page and everything looked possible. I decided to move forward, and I'm very pleased I did. In two sessions (one for the prep and temporaries, and one for the final placement) I have a smile I never thought possible for me. He had to deal with 2 implants, a bridge, several crowns, veneers, and a gum lift. Throughout the process he was always available for my questions, informed me of what was being done, and did not deviate from his original cost estimate. Everyone at his office is also great, Rachel in particular, but also his assistants and hygienists. You owe it to yourself to at least have a virtual consultation with Dr. Soto. Dr Soto was recommended to me by a close friend. I was very anxious about going to a new dentist especially during this time, and have always been afraid of the dentist. My fears were allayed by the professionalism of the whole team, starting with the front desk and Rachel who is so organized, communication is timely, and customer service is great. Extra safety precautions are taken - (additional hepa filters added to the office, sanitizers, questionnaire completed before each visit, temperature taken, you rinse with hydrogen peroxide, the PPE's -N95 masks and gowns worn by the team, changed for each patient, and overall cleanliness) The office and all equipment are modern up to date, and there is a real respect for cleanliness. Most important Dr Soto is on top of it - very talented and skilled. He listens to patients concerns, provides a solution, and explains what he is doing and why. New patient visits start with client's dental history which is reviewed throughly with Dr Soto, as well as any medical history which might be pertinent. Then an exam is done, xrays if needed, no add ons, results, and course of treatment discussed. Once the treatment takes place the visit is recapped and you are shown the solution and given a printout of the treatment. I felt confident I was in the best hands. I've always hated going to the dentist. However, my experience with Dr. Soto and his staff changed my mind. Although I am a new patient they treat me as if I've been there for years. Being a new patient they took a set of X-rays and Dr. Soto thoroughly explained what he saw wrong and what steps were needed to correct it. I never had a dentist who sat down with me and talked me through just the Xrays. It would usually be, "everything looks okay" or "you have a cavity we need to fill". You know how sometimes people tell you that you need work done but then you second guess if they are being honest or not ? I didn't feel like that at all in their office. They gladly answered all questions and made me feel very comfortable moving forward with my dental work. I needed a few fillings after everything was said and done. The day of my appointment was a bit nerve racking because, like I said, I hate going to the dentist. Aside from Dr. Soto and his staff assuring me everything would be okay they did a few things to really put me at ease. 1. Laughing gas. 2. Numbing my gums before injecting the Novacaine 3. They handed me an ipad with headphones! This was the game changer folks! They could've taken out my wisdom teeth for all I cared. I didn't feel a thing and almost forgot where I was. After the procedure they let me rest until I felt comfortable to head out the door. I kept thinking to myself, that was quick and painless. Dr. Soto and his staff are top notch in dentistry, service, and following up. Plus their dental equipment seems very up to date. When I went in for my cleaning a year ago, they told me that I had to do it in two parts because I hadn't been in in a while and there was too much cleaning to do in one session. What they didn't tell me or take into consideration was that my insurance will only pay for two visits in a calendar year. So they scheduled the next visit for six months later and are now billing me for the visit, claiming that they told me that this would happen. Which they didn't. Shame on me for not keeping better track of what my insurance would cover and how many visits I'd made in the calendar year. But this seems like something that the office should bring up when the customer is scheduling the next cleaning. Frankly, I'm most upset about the office's refusal to negotiate at all about this. They want to be paid in full? Fine. It's the last dollar they will see from me. read more

Over the last few years, I've seen a revolving door of hygienists (some good, some painful) and doctors at this practice. Not the kind of stability I like to see in a health-care provider. The biggest issue for me, though, is that my husband recently had some work done, and they didn't properly explain that -- even though it was routine work -- it wouldn't be covered by insurance. After he pointed this out, they kept insisting that they told him this up front, refusing to admit their part in the misunderstanding or negotiate at all on the cost. Given that we've both been long-term patients of the practice, I expected better. When I called to cancel my upcoming appointment, the receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule. When I told her that no, I wouldn't be returning to their practice, she said "OK" and hung up on me -- didn't care why. Clearly their front-office standards are slipping, too. read more

The whole practice gets a 10 stars from me and I thank my partner's colleague for referring this fabulous dental practice. So I'm the biggest chicken when it comes to the dentist. I have had cleanings, root canal, crowns (and not the one on my head) and a few fillings at this office and have always been the most pleasant experience.
