To preface this review; I have MAJOR trust issues when it comes to allowing someone to touch my hair (it's my favorite part of me.) My mother is a cosmetologist in the CLE area, and has been cutting/coloring my hair my entire life. I was scared to trust someone with my hair, but I could NOT be happier with my results from this salon. :) (I guess I'll have to find a way to break the news to my mom that I finally found someone to do my hair in Cbus...) My visit: I came in for a cut and partial highlight because the prices seemed on point, the salon looked beautiful and inviting, and I could book an appointment with multiple stylists. I chose Marissa, because she had some openings on a day I had off of work. Marissa did an amazing job on my color and highlight. She was so personable and friendly, and listed to exactly what I wanted, and what my concerns were right at the beginning. She understood precisely what I was going for and NAILED IT with the color. I chickened out on the haircut after all, but I would definitely trust her to cut my hair in the future. The products used were incredible, smelled great and did not leave smells on my hair after the highlights were done. The look is so natural to me and left me feeling confident. Mission even offers you a 10 dollar reward on your next service and some product discounts when you review on Yelp or Vagaro or Google. This place is phenomenal. I've been coming here for almost a year and I've been so happy that I found this place! I go to Taelor and she is so efficient and gives me the best balayage. My hair is super black and I've always had brassy tones and she is able to get me super ashy blonde. Prices are extremely reasonable compared to ulta/salon lofts/ studio elements of what I was paying before (sometimes even cheaper). But regardless, I've never been able to get in and out of the salon in 2-2.5 hours for my difficult hair and Taelor delivers! The receptionists and everyone is so friendly, plus they carry Oribe and Unite products. They recycle everything they use and provide referral discounts too. read more

Im extremely disappointed in this Salon. I was not aware of the cancellation policy. I had to cancel my hair appointment last minute due to getting stuck in Dallas Fort Worth Airport as a flight attendant. They automatically charged me 25% of the service. I have always been a great client and have spent so much money there. This salon should value their customers and understand if something happens. I would have been more understandable if I was aware of this policy. I will not be returning. read more

I googled multiple stylists work after I got a really bad balayage elsewhere and thank goodness I found Gabby- the reason I went to Mission. She fixed my hair, did a beautiful balayage, and showed me how to style it. I wanted to like this salon and my stylist more than I did. And I especially wanted to like my hair more than I did after spending $60 on a blowout. Salon is attractive and has nice amenities, like easy parking, refreshments including wine and seltzers and nice products. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. First time client here and I'm not local, but visit the area frequently and have visited a number of other salons in Dublin, Marysville and Columbus over the years. My stylist, Fergie, was highly recommended by receptionist when I called to make appt. Maybe she was having a bad day, which happens. But she didn't come off very friendly, sort of wandered off a couple of times during the hair wash and blowout, and didn't seem to listen to what I wanted, and specifics of my hair. Which is naturally very wavy, and has to be "locked in" pretty well with heat and tension to remain straight with body, which was my goal. I left less than thrilled with it, though the products used smelled nice. And I was surprised to learn the price was $50 as the website indicated $30 for this service. With a tip, $60, that could have been better spent at the Dry Bar nearby, which I've been pleased with in the past. My hair frizzed pretty quickly, as anticipated, soon after. read more

So I booked an appointment with a girl named Taylor for a balayage. I was very excited to get my hair done and when I got there, she was telling me that she could do some low lights. I told her no I don't want low lights I want a balayage. I want it to look exactly like this picture that I showed her, anyways, it was a whole waste of time and very disappointing because I was looking forward to it. So it was just a wasted trip and then wasted money on an Uber. read more

I can only give this place a 4 star because I felt everyone came out looking the same with blonde and curly hair and the lady doing my hair wasn't very welcoming. My experience was very strange. Me and my mom made appointments to go together before my wedding. My mom got a hair trim and was in and out in less then 30 minutes her stylist was super nice and friendly. Thank you Libby. However mine was not at all. ( I honestly can't even remember her name and it's only been a few days) She kept disappearing during the appointment. It took her close to 4 hours to give me a full balayage. I wanted a lighter brown to tone down my dark brown hair and left with blonde. It looks pretty good I'll post a picture when I get a chance. ( I'm not sure if this salon knows how to do other hair colors besides blonde. Me and my mom were glad she did not get her hair colored because we thought she would have left blonde and she has black hair and she can't pull off blonde) The lady doing my hair didn't really make any conversation with me left several times and my hair was very damaged after the services. I do think that wasn't all her fault since the shower water at my place had turned my hair greenish. At the ends. She did give me a few tips on how to correct the damage. All in all if your a blonde or wanting blonde hair give this place a try. If you get the lady that disappears all the time let me know what her name was. I have been to Mission Salon twice now. Both experiences were just overall amazing! I had my hair done by Fergie. Roots touched up, cut and styled, and two hair cuts. Both times I came in tempted to make some BIG changes to my hair. Fergie was nothing but honest about what the process and end product would be for ME specifically. She also took the time to give me a ton of pointers to get my hair looking healthy, maintaining it, and styling it. If you're worried about feeling out of place or don't typically get your hair done at a salon and have wanted to, this is the place. The girls who work at the front are so friendly and welcoming. What a beautiful salon this is!! I followed Gabby here from her previous salon and I'm so glad I did. I felt relaxed as soon as I arrived, and it didn't hurt that there was a Starbucks directly next door. My whole experience was positive, and Gabby always does an amazing job with my hair. This is an update after my second visit. Although Andy's cut the first time was perfect -- stylish, modern -- I was unable to maintain it since I am missing the hair styling gene that most women seem to have. I am very good at holding a hair dryer to my head and blowing it dry, but that is the extent of my skill set. Andy listened to me, cut it to a length much more manageable, and I left happy and remained happy when I realized I got this the first time I washed it.
