Do not consider a small business loan with this company. Their rates are as aggressive as any predatory loan company and they have an archaic underwriting process. One missed payment, which was discussed at length as to why, and they will employ a loan shark type collection attorney to begin an extensive harassment and bullying process. They file suit after suit against small business owners in an climate when traditional lending is complicated. They take advantage of this and aggressively seek businesses they can lock into a 60% interest loan. They collect so much interest on the front end, that you will not even make a dent in any principle balance for likely a year into paying. Stay far away from this unscrupulous bank. read more

I have banked with Mission Valley Bank since it was founded many years ago and they have always been very helpful. I was able to get my PPP loan through them when it was impossible to go through the bigger banks. I strongly believe that it's best to have my money in a smaller regional bank like Mission Valley. It's much easier to get to the person who can solve issues. read more

I love MVB. I have been banking with them since they right opened and they were just a little bungelow outside as the building was being built. The service is exceptional. I love how it has a very homey feeling, where all of the tellers know your name and the person closest to the door says hello to you as you walk in. They also sing "Happy Birthday" to you if you come in the week of your birthday. I don't know many banks that do that. My guess is, at a big bank, maybe one teller might remember your name. MVB is a different type of bank. I have a checking and savings account with them and they are also the bank for my business. They are great in the community. Best kept secret in the valley. My personal bank for a few years and never had a single issue. All employees I have interacted with are very friendly, they learn each customer's name and even ask about your day and do remember stuff about you from previous conversations. I have been with MVB for over three years now and it has been nothing but problems. Right after I opened my account, they closed the branch near my work. The branch in Canyon Country doesn't have an ATM. They told me when I opened my account that the $13 fee would be waived with my direct deposit. NOT TRUE. When I try calling them, their sytem tells me their mail-box is full and hangs-up. Useless. Changing Banks this week. read more

I went to this bank and the staff was very knowledgeable and considerate. They provided me with information regarding their different accounts. After I opened a checking and a Certificate of Deposit, a staff member called me and inquired if they could be of any further assistance. I asked for some envelopes to bank by mail, and the envelopes arrived a few days later. Senior citizens have no charge checking accounts. I would recommend this bank to any business or individual. My husband and I went to this branch to open our small business account. The woman was exceptionally rude. We came prepared with our articles of incorporation, etc. She told us that she needed several other documents. When we said we didn't have them, she gave us paperwork showing what was required and sent us on our way. However, looking at the paperwork she gave us, she gave us misinformation. She could have opened the account with what we had with us. I guess she just couldn't be bothered. We are opening our account elsewhere. read more

Mission Valley Bank is one of the worst Banks I've ever given my business to. I end up opening an account there thinking it's nice small and the people seemed friendly. Boy was I wrong ... it all went sideways when For the first time I came in to make a large deposit. The teller absolutely doesn't know what she is doing and makes a VERY LARGE mistake. NEXT THING I KNOW ALL MY MONEY IS GONE! For over a week I fought to get it back going back and forth trying to get them to correct their mistake - it was a complete nightmare! The bank even had the audacity to inform me they usually only work with business not personal accounts! My question remains then why did they open my acct in the first place? On top of it all the teller never even apologized... little did they know, that would of gone a long way. They actually acted like it was my fault! If I could give negative 10 stars I would. Please don't wast your time. I would not want this to happen to my worst enemy! One of the most stressful situations that has ever happened in my life. read more
