Highly recommend! I came to town from Arizona to visit my grandmother and needed to get a fill while I was there. I've been getting my nails done for 20 years and I'm fairly particular about how I like them done, so I scoured the reviews for 20 different places between Danville and Avon taking me in to Speedway. I don't like to give bad reviews because everyone could have an off day but i spent $86 tip included for a pedicure (no polish) and a full set of nail tips. I had a photo of how I wanted my nails - the manicurist stated "oh that's ombre" so I felt comfortable to proceed. Turns out she had no idea what she was doing - tried a light pink (what I wanted) but returned with a dark reddish orange powder that was atrocious! Thankfully the tech next to her told her what to do. So she soaked off the nails and started again. Never have I had such thick nails! They look horrible snd I've spent the last two days trying to get them to look somewhat better. The pedicure was fine but as I said all I wanted was a clean-up - no polish. Tried Jax's for the first time and experience was just okay - give it a "C" as the ped was disappointing. The nail tech appeared new and the process hurt as she clipped and shaped my nails. Average $30 basic reg polish pedicure usually comes with leg message. This one did not! Massage time / maybe 3 minutes to include applying lotion. read more

Why was today the first time I had ever heard or went to this salon? I went in today and had my acrylics removed and dip powder put on my natural nails. This is the most precise and non rushed experience I've ever had! My nail technician was so careful and checked in with me regularly, as well as being so friendly and pleasant to have this experience with. Plus, this was the first salon where I was given MY OWN nail file and buffing block to bring in for them to use on me each time I get my nails done. So clean and so considerate to think of their customers in such a manner. I was informed about the state of my nails and was told honestly that my nails were not in good shape after having acrylics off and on for years. My technician, Jamie, made me feel confident that she is going to work with me to get my nails where they need to be, and I'm excited to go back. Seriously, check this place out! read more

I called to see if there was an opening today and I was in luck! Shay greeted me at the door and took my temperature. Next I had to go wash my hands before picking out my color. Once my color was chosen she help me into to chair so I was safe. There are shower curtains in between each pedicure chair so that they are ae to use all of them. I chose the deluxe pedicure today to celebrate finishing a large project at work. It includes 10 minute massage on each leg. Can i just say that for $51 this is an amazing deal!!! You are also given your own files to keep with you for each visit (that is the $1). I love this for sanitary purposes!. All staff was super friendly and kept masks on appropriately. My pedicure turned out wonderful. I cannot wait to come back. read more

This rating is not about their work (because I have never had the chance to see) However on 3 occasions now I have went into Jax and they immediately ask do I have an appt? Twice it was a slow Monday and I cannot remember the other time. Today 10 minutes after they opened I went in and asked for a quick polish change on my toes and she said no we are booked. Ummm ok this is the 3rd time they have turned me away and on their website it states accepting walk-ins!! She then said ok have a nice day. My friends and I went to JAX earlier today for birthday pedicures. The attention to detail was impeccable which to me is the most important part of what I look for in nail services. They are also very big on cleanliness. I watched them sanitize and wash each pedi basin and tools after we were done. You also get your own buffer and nail file for just $1. The staff was incredibly friendly and we were laughing and talking with staff and other guests through our appointment. The only thing that could be better was color selection but they still had a ton of options read more

The service was very rude and the lady couldn't stop telling my real nails were so short and trashy. I suffer from depression so at this point i am crying while she's doing my nails. Was a walk in for manicure. No wait. Staff was friendly. Polish literally would not dry. 3 hours laters was already having to remove and repaint them myself. Recommend bringing your own polish. Not a big selection and technician kept adding something to the bottle, I'm guessing because it was dried out so not sure if that is reason why polish would never set completely read more

My friend and I had an appointment at 3:30. I was sat first and she was sat at 4:30 when I was finished. I asked for their spa pedicure (+10$ with mud mask) and was looked at like I was stupid when I asked for the service. I would not suggest this salon because they are poor at managing appointments and one staff member is incredibly rude. The idiot who answered the phone at 2:25 pm on Sunday, July 16th not only didn't identify herself by name in answering the phone but REFUSED to give her name when asked. I was just trying to schedule a full service appointment with money as no object (something she would've figured out if she hadn't literally hung up on me when I insisted I knew the first name of the person I was speaking to). Whomever that person is should be counseled if not terminated immediately. I have been hunting for a decent salon for months. This place is above and beyond "decent". Extremely clean and polite! You spend $1 extra your first trip for a file and buffer because they refuse to share between clients. But you keep it and bring it back. Well worth it when a lot of salons may or may not sanitize between clients. After my pedicure, I watched them clean the bowl and I was super excited. Ashley and shay did a FANTASTIC job on both my mani and pedi. A huge selection of colors and larger selection of gel colors. Super reasonable prices and I think they do full services like hair coloring/treatments and also multiple forms of waxing and facials. I can't wait for my next appointment!! read more

I have been to this location several times before today. So like normal, I called this morning and made an appointment for a regular mani/pedi. My service was conducted by a first time student. However, the service was extremely poor. (No massage, callus still on my feet, toe nails were not buffed, nails were not cut evenly) So I POLITELY asked for another nail tech to come and complete the polishing of my pedi (which she basically had to re-do.) I also asked to speak with the owner, Shaye. I waited until the owner did not have a client to tell her I was extremely dissatisfied with my service. In stead of her voicing her concern or even attempting to act as if she cared, she walked passed me and blatantly ignored me. After having to get her attention yet again I asked her was she going to accommodate me in any way and she said another tech fixed it. She also "I've already given you the service for free, what else do you want?" She was so rude and nasty that I decided to walk out. After all she said I COULD HAVE THE SERVICE FOR FREE. She then followed me out and threaten to call the police becuase I did not pay! Like seriously, she literally told me I didn't have to pay!!! Would never recommend and will never go there again! I went there because angels salon used to be there so I thought I would try them out. Well when I got there they seemed very rude. I was just getting a full set and I wanted all black nails. First of all they were crooked. Second when she put the powder on they looked like potatoes and had many dents in them. When she put the color on and I looked at them it looked like I had done the 100 nail polish layer challenge. Will never go back there made my nails look like trash. read more

I think this place is great for the value! It was only $25 flat for a pedicure. My nail polish lasted such a long time! The ladies were extremely friendly. It took us a while to get seated though and the place is kind of worn and dirty. My chair looked old. Just finished a manicure and pedicure here. I have never felt the need to write a review. Visiting town, saw the previous reviews and headed to try Jax. Very friendly and initially I had high hopes. They were so sweet to my little girl and painted her toenails. However this was the end of the good service. They were busy and I understand I was a walk-in but they made you feel like a huge inconvenience. I asked for a mani-pedi. The pedi was very basic at best, very little attention to scrubbing, pushing cuticles etc. And while the woman was sweet, she couldn't even paint my toe nails. She got nail polish all over, I did not get a design though I asked for one, then when I sat at the mani table she bumped my toenails with the drying machine. I tried to pretend like it was no big deal, said it was my fault for moving, then she just added more polish to the ridged up lumps of polish. Just globed it over the defect rather that just remove it and repaint. I then asked for a simple manicure with clear polish and asked for a design on my ring fingers. She didn't apply lotion or do anything resembling manicure, when she tried to do a design on my fingers she spent 40 minutes and it was so horrible at the end I just asked her to remove it. I would rather have had her just say she didn't know how to do it then waste that much of my time, for what ended up being nothing then tried to make me feel bad that others had waited because I asked for a design. In the end I just payed and left but wished I had asked for a refund. If you are three years old and just need polish they are great, the rest fell far far short. read more
