In town for work. Needed a touch up and wanted a new set. I went to this cute little shop since Polish Mi was closed across the street. I wanted dip but it was clear they didn't offer it. I wanted a pink French tip with a sheer pink base. I'm a coffin nail girl and these edges are not neat and not sharp. Looks like 1 week old nails with rounded off edges. Once I saw how "ehhh" my set was, I just decided to not even get a pedicure. $60 for this C- looking set lol will not be back. I've paid $60 for A+ work WITH dip and tiny design, so this was crazy lol. read more

Edited to add: Nikki's response to this review is enough reason to not bring your business here. What a rude, passive aggressive response! Not only did I hear from Nikki for this review, but I also heard from a friend of hers. Both women have been harassing me for this accurate review of my experience. This place needs some updates. The chairs are all peeling, the floors dirty, etc. My eyebrows were way overdue and Tammy Nails is right down the street from me, so I figured I'd pop in really quickly and get a wax. It was really busy for a Friday afternoon. Like, surprisingly busy. There were two people working and both were working on customers' nails, so I waited for about 15 minutes before somebody could squeeze me in. The woman called me back to the "waxing station", which is very clearly a closet they could just barely fit a waxing chair in. The woman couldn't even get in there until I was laying on the chair because there wasn't enough room for two people to stand. When I say this was clearly some sort of small storage closet, I am NOT kidding. The wax itself turned out well, so I will say that. However, the woman waxing me did make a comment about how I should change my eyebrows to match my hair color so I would "look nicer" (I have blonde eyebrows & currently am sporting auburn hair). Not only was that rude, but the truth is that I use gel to color my eyebrows daily- I just figured I'd leave it off so waxing my brows would be easier for her! I went to pay and noticed that they only accept cash tips. Most likely will not be back unless it's an absolute emergency. read more

I went here when my regular nail Tech Cynthia at signature nails was busy. My nails are An absolute mess and I couldn't believe I paid more than I normally do. My nail Tech was a younger gentleman who did not seem to know what he was doing. When he put the acrylic on it was just one giant blob and now there's no structural integrity or Apex to my nails. When he was drilling he did so with no rhyme or reason and was very rough and hit my cuticles. He left glue on my fingers and my coffin shaped nails are super dull. My pointer finger is crooked as well. He also drilled the underneath of my nails so that The glue one tip was drilled away and only acrylic remained. Not to mention At the front of the store it clearly States that all licenses are displayed there were only 2 displayed for the 6 techs working. I wouldn't be surprised if the man who worked on my nails did not have a license because there was not one displayed and the techniques I mentioned above are not common practice when it comes to nails. read more

I was nervous to come here based on reviews I've seen on yelp and on google but I'm glad I tried it out! I came on a Thursday around 1:30 and I was SHOCKED at how busy they were. 7 people working with a client and a few people waiting. That's crazy busy for the middle of a day so it seems to be a pretty popular place. Despite how busy it was, I was put into a pedicure chair pretty quickly. There is a fairly good choice of colors. Not the best I've ever seen but definitely a variety. Once I was in the chair, I waited for awhile before someone was able to see me, but hey those massage chairs can keep me content for awhile. The pedicure itself was VERY thorough. The woman took her time making sure my toes would be the best they possibly could be. It was also probably the longest leg and foot rub I have had at any nail salon. She did a really nice job the entire time. She didn't seem to speak very good English so we sat in silence. Most of the employees seemed to be pretty quiet but have good relationships with their regular customers. If you're big into socialization, this might not be your favorite nail salon. But as someone who likes to sit in peace, I enjoyed it. There is NOT free wifi though - kind of inconvenient! I would definitely return to this nail salon. read more

They offer waxing but it is really just a service offered as an up-sell to manicure and pedicure customers. They will happily let you walk in and wait for 30+ minutes without informing you of the expected wait time up front. Even when asked "is a wax a possibility today" they will nod and tell you to sign in. I have sillily attempted to get a wax here a few times because of its convenient location, expecting the experience to be different only to waste 30 minutes plus of my time. If you need a wax - head to the mall and save yourself some time. read more

The Yelp reviews aren't great on here and I'm not sure why. I've been coming to Tammy Nails since I was young and it's the only place I'll get my nails done. They are super consistent and always do a great job. Plus, the prices are fair. I highly recommend coming here. read more

The service is really great here and the salon is really clean. I'm sad to give this place a bad review because the owners are so nice but I just didn't have a good experience. I had my acrylics removed here and my nails are normally very thick and very hard naturally. The salon filed my nails down so thin that they broke. They were also uneven. Some parts were thinner than others. My nails were pink when I left and now I have to wait probably a month for them to grow back to paintable nails.. I would, however, come back and maybe get gel nails or something. Just wouldn't come here to get my acrylics removed again.. :( read more

I had my nails done last Tuesday. Nails began to show peeling over the weekend. I thought I would hold off - but as the peeling began to get worse - I decided to call today, Tuesday to see about having my nails fixed, and they indicated that they aren't responsible for my nails. First time trying Tammy nails, not really impressed. The woman who did my pedicure was super sweet, and did a great job - but the woman who did my manicure seemed less than enthused to be there. I understand having a long, hard day - but I had a long hard day too, and not feeling welcome doesn't exactly top off your day in the most positive way. Not to mention, I can understand if I waited 2-3 weeks to call about my nails - but one week? I typically go to Ice Nails in Broadripple and my nails - WITHOUT fail last 4-5 weeks. No peeling - EVER. I will just remember to make the extra drive next time. Convenience isn't always worth it! I wont be returning to Tammy Nails to have my nails fixed, because its just going to cost me time. They will likely peel again anyway. I would rather pay someone to do it right. My time is money. read more

My friend and I were so grateful tonight for Tammy and Nikki welcoming us even though we made it just 20 minutes before closing. They were patient, kind and very accommodating. They did a great job! The prices are also very reasonable and they have plenty of Gel/Shellac colors from which to choose. I have to say, what I appreciate most is Nikki's gentleness while removing my old Gel color. I stopped going here after a bad experience last year. Today, I was in the area and decided to give the place another try. Everything was fine at first, but I overheard two other customes complaining about the services. Then when I went to wash my hands, one of the acrylic nails cracked. It was very thin and flexible. Tammy proceeded to argue with me about it being my fault for not washing my hand properly. I don't have any idea how it is possible to wash one's hands so vigorously as to break a brand new acrylic nail. She went on and on about it, even after I tried to diffuse the situation but telling Tammy it was no problem (just please fix it). As I was leaving, I heard another patron turn to the customer near he and say 'I don't know why she won't listen to me.' Intendinng that Tammy wasn't listening to the customer's requests. The tension was high in this salon and good riddance! Tammy herself sets the tone for being rude to customers!!! read more
