I had a nice visit here yesterday. I do think it is pricey for just a basic wash with no Armor All spray on your tires! Just a basic (cheapest you can get) car wash was $12.00 before tax. The staff were friendly enough, despite trying to push monthly memberships. There are ample roomy covered parking spaces with a lot of vacuums, which is really nice! The trash cans were abundant and empty, which is another plus. Its a spacious nice car wash with easy in/out access to Highway 72. And, big plus for me, this car wash did not scratch my car! #Win! read more

The Mister Car wash on Hwy 72 East is a joke. Matter of fact both locations are. First off they do not give any complimentary towels or even give an option to purchase any towels or wheel shine or an option for anything to aid in car washing which is a stupid business decision, it's a car wash but the main thing is that when you pull through and want to spray some Ph balanced wheel cleaner that you brought to aid in the cleaning of expensive aftermarket wheels they give a dumb excuse that it doesn't mix with their chemicals. "WHAT" it's soap and water. If your car was actually washed the wheels I wouldn't have to bring my own. Completely ridiculous. Just lost mine and my wife's business. Wish previous owner still owned this location because they understood customer service. Just another corporation that doesn't give a damn about anything but the bottom line. read more

This Mister Carwash has sort-of gone downhill. There is a really sharp turn in because of the layout. They can't really help that because it has been that way since before it was Mister Carwash. The maintenance is horrific, though. It is a bumpy ride inside the tunnel, and you feel "stuck" at the end much too far still inside. The vacuums need maintenance...they do not work as they should. The trash cans were full. The quality of the car wash was about average--it doesn't clean the rims or shine the tires like it used to. This once nice little Carwash needs maintenance and management. read more

I use to love this car wash, until a few months ago when I realized it doesn't actually clean your car. I shouldn't have to go through the wash 2/3 times each visit! Just to still wipe the dirt off my car when towel drying. I'm there every other day, rain or shine! It's gotten ridiculous and the GM just made excuse after excuse as to why the wash doesn't clean effectively. I've cancelled my membership for all my vehicles and Memberships for my parent's vehicles. read more

The company was sold a few months ago and the current service is garbage. The daytime supervisor is snippy and the bug prep station is lacking in an adequate amount of chemicals. Six months ago this was the best car wash in limestone county. Now it is not and they have lost my business. I have spent my last dollar at this business today. I have patronized this location consistently for years. When the previous business became "Mister Wash", I was a little disappointed not to have the winded spray and washcloths available to clean out the inside of my car after vacuuming, but came back today for another go at Mister Wash. Today the attendant at the car wash entrance ROLLED HIS EYES at me after I backed my car up to readjust my alignments to the automatic track (which I have never had to do in three years of coming with the same car to this very same car wash. I guess he didn't care if my brand-new month-old low-profile tires got messed up while he was under his directions). After rolling his eyes he gave me the most disgusted dirty look and then wouldn't make eye contact with me. He barely sprayed off my car's front grille, I guess I didn't deserve it since I ran off the tracks. I saw him look back at the supervisor who was at the kiosk while she laughed and laughed, presumably over how idiotic I was to run of the side of the track with my brand-new tires. He then walked to her while she came out of the shaded kiosk area to laugh and laugh some more. Prices are higher and you recieve less service. Yes you can go through with prepay as many times as you want but there are no cleaning clothes as there were when it was 3 Minute Car Wash. Not to many ppl need to wash daily and the convenience of not having to gather supplies from home was a plus with me. They also charge more with less service. The employees are friendly but are told to push the wash packages. I know what I want when I go and everytime even though the packages are posted I still have to hear the sales spill. No cleaning rags, interior cleaning supplies or air fresheners as was before they changed companies. read more

Since this place changed to Mister Car Wash it is awful! The wash itself is pretty expensive if you don't join the wash club and it really doesn't do a great job. The people barely (if at all) use the brush or sprayer on the car before you roll into the wash chamber. They used to scrub the front and back with a brush and sometimes would use a power washer type thing if you needed it. The workers are too busy "helping you pay" which isn't needed and trying to sell you on the wash club membership. The vacuum cleaners also don't seem to work as well. Lastly, they used to have towels and spray bottles with cleaner that you could use and now they don't. Workers are friendly sometimes but I wish it could get a different new owner and better management. Don't waste your money! read more

This place is great! Got a $10 wash, free vacuum time and they have cleaner and rags available to get the windows or missed spots. The guys there were extremely friendly and helpful. I'm hooked. Not worth the trouble of washing a car at home. Great job guys! read more

Yesterday, Christmas Eve, 2016, we were driving through Athens to go to dinner with our family. We were a bit early and my husband decided to get his truck washed. We drove up to get the ticket and a young man ran out to us and punched in a code before we could get our card out. He looked at us and stated, "Merry Christmas!, all car washes are free today!" We were so surprised. This was not advertised but there were several cars there. Every employee was so nice, wished us Merry Christmas and it really made our day. With a business of any kind, it's sometimes hard to give as much as you would like. This giving BACK to the community, in this unselfish way, and not expecting anything in return, is, to me, not only the real meaning of Christmas, but showing publicly that good things don't go unnoticed. The previous owners at this location provided towels and spray bottles which allowed you to touch up the car and do light detailing after the wash. They staff says these are available anymore and aren't coming back. They also seem to be interested in talking you into an upgrade while you are trying to select your wash. If that doesn't work they want you to buy some sort of car wash club membership. All up-sales and none of the amenities. I used to go there frequently but I'm done with this place. read more

This place is amazing. With a second home in the Northern part of Alabama, we recently needed to find a car wash near us. I've taken many cars through this type of "self" wash, where you choose the level of wash you want, and then stay in your car as it glides through the automated washing process, but this was different. Sure there were a couple of young guys at the beginning to prep your car using spray wash guns as you would expect. And the drive through the tunnel was pretty much what you would expect as well. However, after leaving the tunnel and driving up to the FREE vacuum stations, that's where Car Wash Express 2 stands out from the rest. As I am starting to vacuum my car out, a couple of the employees come over to see if they could do anything to make my experience even better. They asked me if I wanted my floor mats shampooed and I of course, asked if that was part of my basic wash, expecting them to tell me no, it would be extra. However, they said sure we can run them through the shampoo machine at no extra charge and they even took out the huge rubber trunk mat and sprayed and dried that as well. Meanwhile one of the guys was also working on the extra road bugs that were still attached to the front bumper. The owner happened to come out of the office as I was getting ready to leave and asked if she could do anything else. She explained that along with her husband, they have owned the wash for about 9 years and that customer service and satisfaction are their #1 goal. I told her how great the experience was and I would certainly return and would definitely refer her business to others. read more

Be advised that the great reviews below are no longer valid. The great team at Car Wash Express no longer exists and the Mister Company (new owners) out of Tucson Arizona has sadly taken over. This branch is now just one of 244 understaffed facilities across this country that don't understand how things are done here in the Alabama. Recently, I paid for the top carwash (18 dollars) and the crew didn't even perform the pre-wipe of the grill and back end of the car. The car wash machine must have been set on the fast rate, the brushes rotation, soap, rinsing and wax were all noticeably shorter and slower. Two padded rollers at the end of the wash were removed. As a result, the car was still very soapy, dripping, with areas that didn't get cleaned like the bumper and running boards. Worst car wash ever. read more
