I've reviewed my fair share of Mister Car Wash locations, and like fast food places, it is difficult to review every one of them and say something unique lol So, this location (Montwood), happens to be one of the full service locations, and, the current staff seem to do a better job than the full service location on Gateway W (near the fountains). The value is there, as I have the membership (unlimited), and was grandfathered in as I've had the interior service membership for decades. Because of this, full service locations are where I'll get the most value. If I use the express locations, I'm essentially wasting half of what I pay for. Anyways - Mister is solid. read more

This carwash does a decent job. It is pricey so be sure to get your money's worth and walk around your vehicle before they give you your keys because they inevitably leave grease and dirt marks that the wash misses, and they do not see them when they are drying the car, so you need to point those imperfections out. I asked the young man who was drying my car to wipe off a black spot that was missed, and his reply was, "it doesn't come off." My brand new vehicle's windshield was cracked and the manager at 2921 N Mesa Street told me it wasn't going to matter if I asked him to create an incident report but I asked for one anyway. I reported this on 5/21/2026 which is the date of damage. I received 1 email acknowledging the incident and nothing more. After an email requesting status and a voicemail at the complaint center phone number on 6/1/2026 the manager returned my call. Basically he said that they accept no responsibility for the incident because the windshield could have been cracked and I hadn't noticed. They should be ashamed! This location used to be the best, great service, personable staff, and our cars always were cleaned and smelled clean. However, since the time they cut down on staff and changed things, our vehicles been smelling like dirty rags, the employees are rushing through our vehicles. Attention to detail is now trash, they use the wrong scents, our car doesn't feel clean anymore. Excellent establishment to have a membership. I used to not care about having one with this place as I used to barely drive thru their locations every few months or more. But ever since I bought my new Toyota Camry XSE, I decided it was too good of a car to not be washing it twice a day lol. So for just $70 a month, you get unlimited car washes to include interior cleaning. I used to enjoy vacuuming ny interior whenever I had to, but it can really be such a chore. So this membership honestly makes it that much more worth it! This particular location along with two other in El Paso are the only spots out of their 20 locations to do the interior work. So I pretty much have to make a point to either run errands on this side of town or just make a trip to get my car done right. Usually when I point out specific areas to clean, it gets taken care of. There was one occasion where I pointed it out to one of the crew members that there was still spots leftover after I pointed it out in the beginning to get rid of. Her response was "we don't get rid of areas if we have to rub down hard." So basically they just run their rags over everything and if there's still obvious dirt, let it be. Interesting. I did try to call the manager about this to which I only left a message with no call back. I have returned to this location on occasion when it called for it and my experiences were fine overall. This specific Mister Car Wash location compared to 6 other ones I have visited in El Paso is by far the busiest. I believe this location is extra busy is because the Zaragosa/Montwood intersaction is too by far the busiest intersection in El Paso. So, if you decide to come to this location please be safe it is busy and there are cars everywhere. Other than that I have not had any bad situations and the staff seems friendly. I too have not yet paid extra for they to dry and clean the inside of my vehicle but I do pay for a monthly membership which costs $32.99 (2021) per vehicle for unlimited car wash in any Mister Car Wash location. I did have issues with a location in the west side but overall I'm glad that situation is over. I rank this location 5 out of 5 because despite how busy it is on a busy busy day you make it in and out in less than 15 minutes. read more

I know what you're thinking. "You've checked into this place over 16 times and still haven't written a review. What's up with that, essé?" Well...I've been a little busy, aiight? But Imma make it up to you guys. This is my second review in the same day, but it's short because...let's face it--this is a car wash. I skimmed thru some of the reviews preceding mine and I must say...people can be cruel. I mean, what were they expecting? Red carpet service?? To be fair, this place does some damn good work actually. We're talking hand drying service post car wash, platinum packages with all the fixins, PLUS....fresh popcorn and coffee in the lobby. I should mention this place is a chain establishment and every location I've been to (so far) has all these features. But I like the location on Montana the best because of the layout of lanes here. You've got the full service lanes, but if you're just looking to get the car washed right quick, there's also the option of the "exterior only" lane. I use this lane a lot because I'm part of the unlimited package. What's that, you ask? In short, you pay a monthly fee and get unlimited washes for said fee. They even give you a sticker to place on your windshield so they can track your membership. And the fee itself is pretty nominal, when you do the math and consider how much it would cost to wash your car weekly. This is a pretty smart tactic, I must admit. Especially considering how windy it gets in EP, what...with all the sand and sporadic rainstorms that tend to pop up out of left-center field. J-just...just get the membership. It's a really frugal way to keep your car clean on the daily. This place does not deserve the flack that it has gotten from SOME patrons. I'm not really sure what they were looking for. But apparently some folks really take the aesthetic appeal of cars seriously to a level which could only be appreciated and aptly compared to a genre like, say....The Fast and The Furious crowd. But...c'mon, people! This is real life!! And in real life, most people drive some pretty average and stoic vehicles. As if paying $33 for a car wash membership wasn't enough, this location charges additional fees to use the vacuums and there's no where to stop and fully dry your car. If you want that done, you have to pay for the extra service, or stop in the parking lot of a nearby business. read more

Worst car wash I have ever received. First the price was out extremely expensive. Their machine bent my front license plate almost in half. They did not put in the mirrors or tape down the rear wiper on my SUV. When they said my car was finished, I looked and saw the front of the car was just as dirty as when I brought it in. The front windshield window on the inside was not cleaned, but smeared. The dash board had one little area that was somewhat dusted. The rest of it had not been touched. My next door neighbor had warned me about this place. They busted up his car and never did a good job at cleaning it. I will never go back to a Mister Car Wash. read more

Took my Chevy Tahoe to the Montwood location for a full detail and I was pleased with the results. However, I sit my cell phone on the front middle console and all I hear is a "clunk" noise...the black padded rubber liner is completely gone. The liner keeps your items from moving around while you're driving. Worst part is now you can actually see the nails and opening into the storage compartment underneath. So, I tear my truck apart looking for it bc sometimes they'll place items to the side. I still can't figure out why they would even remove this piece bc all they had to do is wipe it down. As I'm looking in the middle row, I notice one of my factory carpet mats is also missing. They're tan and very plush so I have all weather black mats on top of them to protect them. Other than one or two minor body imperfections, my truck has been nicely maintained from the day I drove it out off the dealership years ago. The whole reason I was getting it detailed is to take pictures bc we're getting ready to sell it...now this! I called them the same day about it and they told me someone would call me back. No one called me back. I called them the next morning and spoke to the GM and was told that I need to bring it back so that they can see what part I'm talking about. What annoys me is that all these years I've taken my truck to auto detailers and NEVER experienced items to my truck missing. Yes, I can definitely afford to buy these items but why should I?!?!? Train your employees to return any items they pull out of the vehicle and don't pull out items unnecessarily!!!! More to follow on this review. I want to see how they're going to handle or mishandle this situation. I will gladly change this review if they're willing to compensate me but nothing more than 3 stars bc of the inconvenience of having to call and go back to them. Very good place to come to get your car washed. The waiting lobby is really nice and makes waiting bearable. While they do a great job cleaning the outside of the your vehicle, they only do a pretty good job with the inside. I say pretty good as they don't get in all the little crevices and cup holders in areas such as the side of your door. I still had sand in my cup holders on the inside of my doors. Also, I pay for a $33 a month for unlimited washes but still have to pay $5 to get the inside of my truck vacuumed and cleaned. Again, I really do enjoy coming here and recommend this place to anyone. They also do services such as oil change and internal engine cleaning services as well which is convenient. read more

Well disappointed at the fact that $7- wash included hand dry by associates. Today I took my parents (in their age of 70s) vehicle, and noticed $8 for a wash. Drove out to canopy, for drying, no attendant came up to assist. I hollered to the nearest associates and asked "you guys no longer dry the cars?" They simply replied "no". Shrugged shoulders and all. I'm 42 and stay away from drive thru washes, but a chain of car washes who doesn't care about our elderly or disabled simply focused on making $$$$, has gone away from it's roots of "good customer service" my parents have been driving off, from the lot, many, many times with their van to air dry. In 24 years of driving, I have NEVER taken a car back to a car wash for a redo. This place made me do it. There was still dust on the dash and all over the center console. The windshield was harder to see through on my morning drive than it was the day before the wash. Small spills still on the cup holders. Spills that were STILL there after a second trip for a do-over. When I was agitated that they were still there, I was informed that I would have to pay for a FULL DETAIL to get the spills off the cup holders. Seriously?? Pretty good spot that won't leave swirls in your paint when they dry your car off. I have black paint so it's rare I let other people wash my car but when we visit El Paso on the Holidays this place is convenient . It's a bit pricey and I don't know about the oil changes or anything about the rest of their services just that the car washes are pretty decent. There is free popcorn and coffee inside the waiting area and plenty of seating. They also give a four day rain check with most of the washes which isn't to bad considering it rarely Raines in El Paso. read more

They did a very poor job. We had a ticket from a fundraiser and paid $8 to upgrade to a tire wipe down and shine. The wheels had streaks where they wiped Them down with a dirty cloth and they did not apply the shine. Where was the quality control? Why would release the truck with such a sloppy job? Our car was dripping wet with soap suds mixed with dirt running off and all I asked for was a towel to wipe off suds and re-do windows so it would actually look like we got a car wash. Ok, it's pretty much the only game in this part of town. The people are friendly and the waiting area is pleasant with good music, cool air and places to sit if you can find one empty. I generally get the $29 wash- and the outside of my truck is spectacular, but I could get that for $6. I pay the other $24 for a clean, wiped, dirt and debris free interior. I have long blonde hair and invariably some gets stuck in the carpet. They make zero effort to get that out. In fact, I am convinced they need much more powerful vacuums as all sorts of little items remain in the carpet. It's not an SUV or minivan but a TRUCK. As such it should be super clean as I'm paying the same price as those vehicles with much more interior to clean. Oh, well, I keep hoping for the best each and every time.
