We were staying nearby at a hotel and had a friendly encounter, smooth drive through the wash followed by using their very strong and FREE vacuums to clean out the car after. The reviews are accurate. I've had the most expensive wash pass for the past 6 months. The back of my car is usually pretty clean but the front is littered with bugs after the wash and side skirts are never clean. This location need to close for a remodel to get the latest and greatest car was equipment if they want $40 a month to wash a car. read more

About the only thing I didn't like is that the coin operated slot was broken otherwise for two dollars it seems like a good place to wash down my car and get an average wash. I was able to get the dirt off of my car but not completely I would go there again. I would go there more if the coin machine was fixed. read more

Got the premium car wash. Had to run through twice. Lower section and back did not get clean. Running board still has mud on it. Asked why they didnt hose it. Said hose was not working. Why didnt you get a regular hose and hand spray it. Not the best service or concern They were too busy to do a good job. read more

I would recommend avoiding this car wash if you want to have a clean car. I have gone several times (close to home) and each time the wash will not clean the back of the car. Worse yet, the management admitted to me that they get regular complaints but don't have a solution. They did't even offer a refund or another wash after showing them photos of how poor the car was washed. Will never go back again. Horrible result, poor service. Really surprised to see all the negative reviews for this location, so I'm throwing a positive review in. This location can just slam through a busy line. There are two parallel washes, so they can get twice as many customers through compared to other Mister Carwash locations in the area. Staff is always friendly, I've always gotten the pre-spray when my car is extra filthy, and I drive away with a clean car every time. I'm a big fan of the unlimited washes and sign up every winter for both of my cars. This location also recently updated their vacuum station in the last 6 months. There are plenty of vacuum spots available that have a clip for your car mats for extra attention, and some even have a compressed air nozzle for spraying dust out of the nooks and crannies. My only beef with this location is the traffic flow for the vacuum stations is poor. It's a dead end, so there can be traffic jams. read more

Avoid this company, most specifically this location at all cost. I went through a couple weeks ago now and they had issues lining me up. Then they started the machine and my car wouldn't go, it just kept spinning in the same spot. Then my tires rubbed the entire way through bouncing back and forth and I ended up with a slightly altered alignment. I instantly contacted them, it took SEVERAL HOURS to hear back, as they kept ignoring the phone. I filled out my paperwork, got a claim filed, and was told I would hear back. They called back after a few days and said that there's absolutely no possible way that it can alter an alignment, but yet it did because my car was as straight as could be before I went in. They said they'd send the claim up to their upper management and I would hear back on Monday, (this was a Friday). Here we are over a week after that Monday and I have YET to hear from them, I've tried to call a few times and can't get through. They refuse to take responsibility. Poor customer service. read more

I went here after a road trip, so my car was splattered with bugs on the front and mirrors, and I was in serious need of a vacuum inside after some sandy beach experiences. They quoted me only $16 for a full vacuum, dash rubdown, and center console cleaning with a car wash focused on bugs and I was STOKED. That pricing was awesome. Inside vacuum/cleaning: AMAZING. For $16 all around the inside of my car looked amazing! No dust anywhere, perfectly vacuumed interior, seats, and console cleaner than I've seen it in a while. I was very pleased. Outside wash: EHHH. The car was clean but the front of my car was still coated in bugs. I ended up putting some elbow grease into it myself. I wish they'd have tacked on $5 and actually tackled the bug situation as I know they're difficult to remove. You really cant beat a detailing for $16 so overall I was happy with them and plan to go back for sure! They also have a really nice waiting room where you can watch them work with free fresh popcorn! read more

The car wash itself is great, the personnel is questionable. I've been an unlimited wash member for over a year, and my car may have been sprayed off five times in that time. I just went through the wash, the car in front of me wasn't even dirty, the least bit, Yep the employee took the time to spray the whole car off. On the other hand, my car is dirty, and he didn't spray it at all. I drive a nicer vehicle than the one that was in front of me. I hate to use this card, but with the frequency that this occurs, I believe it does have something to do with race. read more

This is basically the only car wash within a 5 mile radius of my residence. I come here begrudgingly as it's conveniently located. First of all, I spend 4 months a year in Florida and travel often to the east side of Michigan. I have no idea why car washes are so outrageously priced here in Grand Rapids, but that's definitely the case at Mister. In Florida, I can get unlimited washes for the yearly (yearly!!) price of $39. On the east side of the state, drive through washes cost $4-6 for a single wash. Mister charges $9, $12, $14 or more for a single wash, and $19 and change for unlimited monthly washes. There's either a monopoly on, or lack of desire to start reasonable car washes in GR. I'm sure of Mister's lucrative capabilities but that doesn't make me any happier about paying $12 for a single wash. I'm a millennial, I have enough subscriptions. I'd rather wash my car my darn self than pay for another one. The wash itself is grand in size and scale, but washes the car similarly to every other wash I've ever been to. It's all hype and seizure inducing lights. That's only cool on Snapchat the first time or to 5 year old kiddos. I tried to have my car detailed here and was shocked that although they claim to be a "full service wash" they didn't have set services and prices to fully detail my car. I was so confused. Upon negotiating with the less than professional manager on a figure of $60 to "please just vacuum it, wipe down and clean the inside", I waited inside for a painfully long 40 minutes only to find a mediocre cleaning. This company took over an existing one and ever since it went down hill. I have been bringing my cars here for years before Mister Car Wash bought the previous company out and I had no issues! I always left super happy and never even had to inspect their work. When Mister Car Wash took over, I thought the service would remain the same or even get better but it sadly isn't the case. WARNING! Mister car wash scratched the driver side door of my 2018 GMC Denali all the way through the paint. Jason the general manager took no responsibility nor did corporate. My body shop confirmed that it was obviously done at the car wash. I caught this before leaving and they still took no responsibility. I was basically TOLD right away that I was Wrong. L. It was such a bummer to see that Waterworks was gone/transformed into a different car wash. I figured I'd give the new one a try, and was pretty disappointed right from the start. First, the wash options are significantly fewer. All I wanted was an interior and exterior wash - but they notified me that they don't do the floor mats unless you purchase the $35 option. They stated they could add on floor-mat cleaning to any other package for an additional charge, which turned out to be an extra $7. The base price wash was $13, so an interior-exterior wash with floor mats was $20. Ok, whatever, I thought. The wash itself was pretty standard, but I discovered that the interior cleaning was just awful. There were still crumbs in the rear seat cracks and they did not wipe down most interior areas (such as the doors.) The most annoying thing was that the $7 up-charge for the floor mats was for a cursory vacuuming only! They did not remove and wash them down like Waterworks used to. I cannot recommend this car wash at all. You could literally get the same quality wash at one of those coin-operated joints for $5. Time to find a new car wash... read more

I realize the guys are probably told to get as many cars through as possible, BUT GENTLEMEN..please stop PACKING the cars in. I leave a healthy amount of space ahead of my car (to their quick waving and impatient dismay..sorry, not sorry) but of course have no control over who rolls up behind me. Today, about three quarters of the way through the wash, the BIG truck behind me HIT my Model X. I pulled out and up quite a ways before we both jumped out of our cars to inspect. My bottom left bumper reflector was cracked and puckered out. His truck was fine. I'm Pissed. While it was minimal damage, one would expect that your car would be spaced appropriately enough to not TOUCH the car in front or behind it. Not happy. read more

I'm very pleased with the washes I get here. I got a new car a few months ago and purchased the monthly pass - wonderful! I go at least 2x weekly in the winter and they do a great job. I appreciate the powerful suction and free price of all the vacuums, and how friendly and helpful their staff is. The washes on 28th St and Fuller are my main washes, but I have been to 4 of their locations and each one is great. The fast pass gets you through the gate easily and quickly, and the line moves pretty well once you are past that. I've never had any scratches or damage to my car as other reviewers have mentioned, but I have seen cars in line with pieces and parts hanging from them, so it's not surprising that these are pulled off. I appreciate how many locations there are, so I'm never far from a clean car. Definitely worth the $20 a month. read more

I have a car that I am getting ready to sell so I figured I would go have a full cleaning and I paid $35 for their top package and unfortunately this will be the last time I ever go to a Mister Carwash. When the guy said the car is ready I looked inside and pointed out that they didn't vacuum any of the seats and I even picked up stuff off the seats to show him - there was a ton of it. His response was, well you can go back around. I told him I'm not gonna wait another 20 minutes like I did in line the first time just to fix something that a basic interior cleaning should've gotten The first time let alone a $35 wash. Then I noticed that they left trash in the doors and I told the guy, well you live and learn, and I left in frustration. On the drive back to the house Im looking on the windshield and where he had wiped the interior there was gooey stuff that had smeared from his rag and was sticky and I couldn't get off with my fingers so when I got home I had to get cleaner and paper towel out and it's taken me five minutes to get this grime off my interior windshield. Then I looked in the backseat and saw more trash that had been missed and all I could think of was that I had paid $35 and got no extra special treatment whatsoever. Thankfully there are lots of other carwash options in the city including paying the 9 year old neighbor kid $10 to do a job that would be many times better. Called last week and spoke to a Manager about Detailing my car. They said they DID offer detailing services. So, today I took my Honda Accord in for detailing. Upon requesting services, I was told they DO NOT offer detailing services. So, I paid $70 for their Top Full Service. I was never called when my vehicle was finished...but I saw it in the Parking Lot. Upon inspecting my car, I assumed they parked it out there and had not gotten to it yet! When I inquired with a gentleman making popcorn in the waiting room, he told me it was finished. When I stated that I was not satisfied with the service, he said would get me a manager to speak with me. I waited by my car and a young man whom had "taken care of my vehicle" came out and I pointed out sticky residue and dirt still showing on the car (which the receipt shows was washed and then re-washed). I pointed out the lint on the dashboard, dirt on the console, inside of doors, and gritty dirt still on the carpets (as well as dirt grit in the trunk still). The mats were wet, but their "washing" only turned the dirt that had been on them to a gushy mud now, and even he agreed that was not a good cleaning. His solution was to give me 2 "comp" cards to come through at a later date for a free car wash....Yeah...I don't think that is going to happen! It would be nice if an actual Manager would contact me and offer a better resolution. At this point, with no return call yet,....I just cannot recommend this Car Wash company to anyone. If no resolution, we will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Mister has taken over the automated car washes in the Metro Grand Rapids area. Unfortunately, their washes seem to rush my car through and are not the quality I remember from the same locations a few years ago. My car is often streaked and no where close to dry when I leave. The only 'benefit' is the autopay monthly option is for unlimited C rate washes, so you can have back to back washes at whichever location is nearest to you. read more

Not a good experience. Bought a $35 wash (their best wash that includes all interior work as well) and this is what I came out to. They said it included vacuuming the seats but the didn't touch them. This place will not last with this level of service. I will not be back. I moved here from Denver and have yet to find a car wash that matches the quality Jazz car wash provided out there. They would make a lot of people happy out here for less cost. read more

Waterworks wasn't always great, but you could drive thru and get a decent cheap wash for under $5.00. Very expensive now, I think $7.00 is the lowest drive thru. The last time I paid $14.00 for some extra stuff. Waterworks usually did a fairly thorough interior and exterior cleaning for around $26.00. They missed a few things but the price was right. According to the other review they don't take out the mats and wash them, not good for Michigan winters with lots of salt inside. Guess I will be looking for a new place. read more
