I bought their best package because I went there with a considerably dirty car...and left with one as well. there was mud on doors, spilled drink on back seat, badly vacuumed carpet, smeary windshield. very lazy, inattentive job. Paid almost $30 for their premium car wash. Big mistake. The employees are great (especially Ryan the assistant manager), but that is unfortunately not enough to bump this review up. Went through the car wash only to find several scratches on the car afterward (the car is literally brand new). There were also several water spots on the car and the trunk area was not clean. We returned and the employees were great, they offered a refund and submitted a claim for the damage to the car. I will update the review after they get back to us about the claim. So I am a member of the club. After driving here from Tennessee in the middle of the summer, my car was covered with bug splats and dirt. One day recently I actually saw my car and its state and was embarrassed that I had let it get so far. I looked up a nearby car wash and was happy to find Mister Car Wash... Luckily I didn't recall the star rating because I am glad I gave them a chance. I knew I needed the inside and the outside cleaned, so I opted for the $25 option. The person who told me about the options wasn't trying to sell me on anything, which I really appreciated. I asked how long the process would take and he told me less than 15 minutes (it was 5pm on a cold weekday, which probably helped). I walked inside and was immediately pleasantly surprised by the interior. The restrooms are not only clean and non-gender specific, but they are also wonderfully decorated and serene. In the lobby there is a popcorn machine and lots of seating available, including at windows where you can watch your car being cleaned. That must be fun for kids... Who am I kidding, it was fun for me too. In about 7 minutes, the car wash folks were telling me my car was done! I was amazed by how spotless the interior and exterior of my car were. The inside wasn't wet or anything, and I left very happy. I would definitely return, and hopefully won't wait as long as I had last time. read more

Pros: -quick line for exterior only service...but probably just got lucky -friendly attendants -if you have the time and money, they'll even do the interior detail for you but not sure what that exactly entails Cons: -2 lanes, full and exterior only service -when I got there today, the line for the full service was almost to the street. The two employees at the start of the automatic wash could barely be bothered to glance up from their conversation to vaguely guide me into the wheel track. Then my car's sensors went crazy because I clearly wasn't fully in the track and the tires/wheels must have been rubbing against something or out of alignment with the rail. They eventually had to stop the machine and guide me to drive out at the end and then implied that it must have been my fault for somehow steering while in neutral? Don't know yet if my new tires were damaged, but I guess I'll know soon enough. Never again. read more

I took my car in for a cleaning inside and out. The interior wasn't very dirty but I still wanted it cleaned. Some how when I got it back it was actually more dirty than when I dropped it off. There were white marks o the seats and doors, water spots on the navigation screen and smudges on the metal trims. I will never go here again and recommend everyone else to stay away. read more

Paid for the most recommended wash/interior vacuum/clean. Not impressed. Lots of visible dirt left over. Cup holders weren't even wiped out. Lots of dirt left on the window frames that could have very easily been wiped away. After taking my SUV here, I still had to spend an additional 20 minutes wiping down here and there. I didn't expect a full detail, but seriously it took me less than a second to see that I didn't get what I paid for. I think your employees need a lot of additional attention to detail training. It's the little things that count people. Also, I was assured that Mister Car Wash would do a much better job than Mermaid! What a joke. I'm pissed at the horrible service I received. The attendant who assured me you were better tried to convince me to buy the car wash package where I could come anytime I wanted. My car has been through many car washes I've never had any damage to the food of my car. I went through this car wash an came out no antenna it took two weeks an me calling to be told. 1. They don't check the voicemail to the number the internet provides. 2. They don't have equipment that could've done that. 3. I should remain calm an not be upset after he got abrasive with me an wouldn't let me speak. Now I have to pay out of pocket for something g this weak car wash broke. I have the Platinum Full Serve package for $54.99 a month and I absolutely love it. I come here at least twice a week and if I wanted, I could totally come once a day thanks to the sweet deal package. I recently moved to Madison from San Francisco and have never had an unlimited wash account. I love being able to come whenever I want and always having a clean and fresh smelling vehicle. I have never had any issues with this location. The inside is fun for kids - they have a sprayer machine that sprays soap when your car passes by the window, at 28 years-old, I still get a kick out of doing this each time. There's also free popcorn, coffee, and water inside along with a small section of car goodies to purchase. read more

Unimpressed. Price has gone up consdierably from when it was an Ocitpus Car Wash, and they did not go a good job. Still had dust on my dash, ice cream on my seat, and they actually picked up junk from the floor and put it in my console cubby. They didn't even wipe it out before putting an old pack of gum they probably found under a seat. The only good thing was that they had really good customer service. I'm a fan. In reading other's comments, it seems that many are pining for the days when the former, Octopus, was in business. Yes, at the high end, Mister CW is more expensive than Octopus was. But I feel the quality of the car wash also has been elevated. They use better detergents and waxes and feel they take much more time drying and detailing afterward. Basically, you get what you pay for and in this case, I don't mind paying more. read more

Even though the iconic Octopus is no more, Mister Car Wash delivered a comparable, honest wash with friendly service from start to finish. The service advisor was very welcoming and did a great job explaining the value of the different washes and even mentioned some nice upgrades Mister has made such as tire dressing being included in their Ultimate Wash where there was an up-charge before and how they switched to higher quality chemicals that don't streak. As a "car guy" I will agree that the Rain-X chemicals that were used previously seem nice but, don't always leave a nice finish... The new prices seem a little steep but, to be fair the legendary "Diamond Deal" at times seemed underpriced. The four day go-back is nice value add but, the grand opening coupon was even more appreciated. Worthy of a solid four stars... Unless something unacceptable happens Mister is on track to earning my business once a month. Keep an eye on details and keep it up, Mister! read more

I recently went to the Mr. Carwash near University Wisconsin Madison Campus and the dryers at the end blew the trim piece on my sunroof and broke the piece off. When I confronted and submitted a claim with the company, they denied my claim stating that their equipment technically didn't touch my car when the part of my car came off and therefore are not responsible for fixing my car. The repair bill is over $800 to fix the damages done. While the dryers blew the piece off, their equipment did touch my car when it went through the roller brushes and sponge curtain that slides across the roof. Their claim that their equipment never touched my car is false. Besides that fact they had to retrieve the piece that came off in carwash because it was still inside. I have requested the surveillance camera video of the incident, was told I could see it, but I have yet to receive it. It is obvious that my car was damaged in the carwash, by the carwash equipment, on Mr. Car Wash property and yet they refuse to take responsibility for it. I have always had a great relationship with Mr. Car Wash until this incident. read more

The first wash I had here in Jan 2016 was outstanding, however, since then my experience has been very, very poor. After paying $30 to have my car vacuumed and dashes / cup holders detailed I found visible dirt, dead bugs, and leaves on the floor, rear seat and on the fabric under the rear window. Little if any vacuuming had been done. Furthermore the dash was streaked here and there with some white substance and no dust had been removed. Thinking this may have been an error I overlooked it and cleaned my car myself with a dustbuster and some armorall. Beautiful results. I returned a second time and was equally disappointed. I was told, "well the vacuum doesn't get everything." Again, my hand held dustbuster picked up more. I will not return. read more

I've went by this place on several occasions and always noticed how busy it was. My car was in need of a quick clean both in and outside so I decided to give them a quick try because I didn't schedule a detailed car cleaning somewhere else. I pulled in and was quickly approached for my purchase. I was pleased at the price, $32 for the premium clean, what a deal. They tried getting me to purchase a multi cleaning deal for the month but I declined. First of all I don't get my car washed multiple times and secondly I wanted to see how good it was for that price. My car was quickly started and I went into the lobby to wait. Less than 30 minutes later my car was done and ready. I got in and noticed several areas that were still dirty, there was loose dirt along the running boards, areas that could have been cleaned with a damp cloth, later I got something out of the back of my car and the back of my front seats do not appear to have been touched. It was a bummer but I recognize that I didn't pay for a professional cleaning and it was cleaner than went I got there. The outside of the car looked really good though. Everyone that worked there that I came in contact with were friendly and seemed happy to be there. If I need a quick car cleaning I'll probably go back and I may make sure today check and ask for extra attention if it needs it before I leave. read more

So disappointed. There were only 4 cars in front of me yet I waited 29 minutes before I was rolling again. They're very slow at the vacuuming station. When they were "finished" I got to my car and found several spots that had not been dried. They let me grab a rag and do it. On the way home I found 2 more. I think one of my leather seats wasn't cleaned at all. They "clean" the all-weather mats for $1 each, which is reasonable, but they were full of water...which I'm sure will now freeze...and I'll need to take them out to dry so I don't get mold or mildew underneath. I have tried to give this place a chance over and over but each time we have a bad experience. The first time we had a bad experience the rims on our car got scratched from the pully system and nothing was done about it. The second time, quarters were stolen from our center console. Now, we left the car wash to go grab lunch and when we parked we found two huge metal blades punctured in our tire and we got a flat. I guess I should have read all of the reviews BEFORE I paid $25 to get the outside of my car scratched and the inside left wet. I used Octopus regularly and was always happy. Until today, I had only used the outside wash service of Mister CR, which is similar to a gas-station drive thru car wash and an ok (if overpriced) substitute during the winter. But today I made the mistake of paying for the inside of my car to be cleaned as well. Unfortunately, they left water all over my leather seats, ripped up the passenger and driver mats to "vacuum" and left them disconnected, left dirty finger prints all over my windows and SCRATCHED THE OUTSIDE OF MY CAR. Terrible work. Second time I went and had to return my car for not basic cleaning. I'm not a fussy guy!! But today my car needed cleaning inside and out, it's a sedan, not complicated and they talk me into a $32 full package. They are done in less than 10 minutes and I drive out to get gas. As I get out I notice my mats are still filthy, my carpets are not even vacuumed, and my cup holder is full of dirt still! $32. I take it back, they apologize, Run it through again, it's still not fully vacuumed. The last time I went I had to go back. Done with this, I'll do it myself. Mister Carwash charged me repeatedly for their monthly service even after I cancelled their service! The cashier failed to inform me it is not a one-time purchase at first. When I realized that's the case, I called them and was told that I should have read the find print on the receipt. To get a refund, I had to go in with my bank statement. Even though they can clearly see that I was being charged, I had no choice but to go in to get my money back. What makes it even worse is that they charged me again after I went in to cancel the whole thing!!!!! If I did not check my bank statement, I would never know, and they would continue charging me. I don't know what kind of business model they are running. I would never go there again. What a fraud! read more
