I like going thru the exterior & interior wash to refresh and reset my car each season. They do a relatively good job with basic cleaning. If you expect this to be perfect with a "deep" clean, think again as those services would cost much more and would take longer. Dropping this down a bit. Lately, they have had severe staffing issues that lead to very long wait times for the full service wash (which I have a membership for). This was my first and last experience here. The staff I interacted with were friendly, which I appreciated, but unfortunately the actual service was very disappointing. I selected the lemon scent, but there was no scent at all. I also paid for the Titanium wash with my mats cleaned, and while the mats were sprayed down, the inside of my car honestly looked worse when I left. There was still dust on the screen, mystery food on the passenger door, a gray film on the rearview mirror that I had to wipe off just to see clearly, and the steering wheel was so dirty that I had to stop and buy cleaning wipes. I called afterward to let them know what happened, but nothing was done to fix it, which made the experience even more frustrating. Just had my car washed at the University Ave. location. The end result was that the back window was not touched at all. This was not the first time it happened to me at this location. When I saw dirty back window the first time, I thought it was a fluke. So I decided to give it a second chance. But this time it was even worse. 4/17/2025, Mister Car Wash, South Park Street, Madison, Wisconsin Completed the basic wash Plus Interior clean (includes under wash, interior) for $32 plus tax, $5 tip. I did not pay extra to have the floor mats cleaned (and I did this at home later). There were only 3 cars in the entire location this morning so staff were not rushed. Inside was not cleaned well. There was small debris left in the door pockets. The door wells were dirty and not wiped down. As soon as I got home I vacuumed all and wiped everything clean. From Mister Car Wash I felt good about getting the winter salt off of the bottom of the car and the car wash was good, but the interior cleaning did not meet my expectations. I like their monthly car wash club. They even offered a discount when I tried to leave during covid-19 but it wasn't them. I simply only felt it necessary to keep the monthly during snow months. The monthly package is a drive thru only option. They won't wipe down the vehicle upon exiting the car wash bay and you'll drive the vehicle yourself. You can get the vacuum and towel dry for $8 extra upon the visit with your regular plan pkg but it won't be billed ... You will pay that day. There are three tier pkgs. You can use any location but I still somehow forget to do so. The staff is sweet. The lobby area remains clean and orderly. More adult than the prior establishment in terms of decor. Popcorn machine remains which is odd to me given Covid-19. I really try to only use Yelp to praise work well done, but in this situation, I have nowhere else to turn. I have regularly used Mister Car Wash since moving to Madison. The exterior wash is always up to par, but from time to time the interior clean leaves much to be desired. I've always been able to look past this because of the convenience, but I recently had a terrible experience with one of the employees that was drying/finalizing cars. When my car was finished being washed, they were all leaning on things and talking... I asked if they would dry my car and 1 employee in particular looked at me and said, "Yeah, we don't do that for exterior washes." in the most condescending tone. He immediately turned his back and went back to his social conversation. For $22 for an exterior only wash you can't wipe the remaining water off my windsheild? My advice? I'm a big fan of Mister Car Wash -- I've had a membership with them for about 2 years and I've been really happy. I drive a Honda CRV and the car wash is one of my guilty pleasures. I also live within view of the Park St. location, so a membership makes perfect sense. It's so nice that I can just drive up and pull through the automatic sensor for an external wash. I pay about $30 per month and go through once a week at least, so it's paying for itself easily. I REALLY appreciated that they didn't charge me during the month they closed for the pandemic. The charge was $0.01 on my account. My car is always thoroughly cleaned, my windows clear and my mirrors are wiped down on my way out. I do wish that they would space cars out just a bit more because other drivers make me nervous. I also haven't gotten an inside detail at Park St. yet because there is always a longer wait. I enjoy being a customer here and there are always cars in line, so I know Madison appreciates MCW too. read more

The worst wash I've ever had. Paid for the highest cleaning package knowing my car needed it and the interior was barely touched. Like nothing was wiped down, barely vacuumed and dirt visibly still on the insides of the doors. I had to completely redo everything when I got home. Took our truck to the wash, ran it through. They clearly use cold water as we still had snow on the roof and snow on the tonneau cover (which now, because of the cold water will be a solid layer of ice.). This was not an extraordinary amount of snow so we assumed a car wash would melt it away. Guess I didn't realize they use water so Cold it won't melt snow. As we came out, we showed it to they guy who seems to be in charge. He said we could run it through again, that he would let the staff know that. We got in line and waited ,several cars now behind us. A staff person (different from either of the two we had dealt with) came up and we told him they told us we could go through again. He proceeded to tell us that they are not liable for the wash to clean snow off the vehicle, and that if we wanted to run it though again we would have to pay for it. When we reiterated that the other staffer said we could run it again, he rudely refused. We then had to have the cars behind us back out of the lane(and that lane/lot does not have a lot of room), and dodge around other parked vehicles to get out of the lot (thank goodness my husband is great at backing our Ram 2500 up - cuz forcing us to do that was taking quite a Risky liability all for the cost of a cold water wash. Customer service is non-existent here. Rather than make everyone back up, he could simply explain that while they normally don't guarantee complete cleaning of snow, in light of the cars in line behind us and the fact that we were told we could just run it through again, we will do it this one time. When I was in retail/service that is how we were taught to handle customer service. His disservice saved them Pennies on product, cost the business time while we turn around, cost the loss of a customer. Bravo. read more

This was my first time visiting this car wash and I was will to spend a little more money on a good car wash. I thought it was a full service inside and out but without knowing or explanation of what to buy I bought the second most expensive service for $23. Yes $23. Ok I thought this should be good. after paying I proceeded to the car wash and there was a man who guided me in and brushed my front bumper and front windshield. Again I thought ok not too bad. Most of the time I get a self guided wash from Kwik Trip or something similar for around $10-12. I wasn't in this wash for maybe 2-3 minutes. I thought that's it?!? I supposedly paid for 6-7 service, undercarriage, wax all the goods. It spits me out at the end I sat there for a second wondering if anyone was going to come out. There were vacuums there but not included because I didn't get the inside paid for. Mind you there wasn't any one to ask about that. I pulled out and proceeded to dry my car off and it was ridiculous because it wasn't even clean!!! NEVER again will I go there and want to warn everyone not to get duped! read more

They offer full service wash at this location, so those cars merge in line with basic wash cars and it slows the line a bit. The other thing that slowed the line a bit was the towel drying, which I greatly appreciate in winter! I'll gladly wait my turn for a solid $6 wash and towel dry. For the last 3 years I've come here & head great service. I will never come back after today. They raised prices, cut staff, and cut service. Currently I'm in line for 30 minutes not moving because no one is working in the garage where they clean the interior before the car goes through the wet wash. Now I'm locked inline with cars in front and behind and on the side so I can't leave. Also they "no longer have drivers." So I'm to stand by while they clean the interior and then drive it through the wet wash tunnel myself and then park it and stand by while they dry it. I have been to a location on East Washington in Madison but today was on Park Street so I tried Mr Car Wash there. Not busy at the time I went late morning. They spend too much time trying to upswell, and don't listen to what I need. Today I wanted interior and exterior wash, and to have my Weathertech mats washed, from and back. The car came through and I watched 4 of the most disinterested worker detail the inside of my car. Windows were smeared, and mats were soaking wet with puddles front and back. Door wells were not dried. I could still see winter salt and dashboard and steering column not wiped down. Dust evident. My car was not very dirty but I wanted mats washed down still muddy when I got home and tried to dry them. I took them out of the car and rug underneath mats was not vacuumed. I live in Fort and as such I didn't go back to Madison to show them how awful of a job they did. All this poor service for $27.00! I never had such a poor experience at East Washington location. I'll never go back to Park Street location. I suggest you not waste your money. Wait for a nice sunny day and wash your car yourself. Donate 27.00 to feed the hungry, or some other worthwhile cause.
