Terrible experience. Worse customer experience than fast food. The disheveled looking white guy running the counter on 4/26/24 will cost you business. Took forever to be greeted in a shop the size of an apartment, couldn't even get a hello, had to interrupt their conversation just to get help after 5+ minutes. When I finally get help the guy is rude and clearly annoyed to help. Acts like I'm the bad guy for coming to pick up my firearm and tries to make it seem like I'm the one doing something wrong, ya know, a customer coming to pick up their property. The other man behind the counter was kind, friendly and helpful. Will avoid giving this location any money. Hard to believe that's the service the owners and management envision but I'm not going to give money to people who treat me badly. read more

I have visited the Plano store at various times over the last 5 years. They have engraved my makers mark on a few NFA items I built. The staff was ALWAYS courteous, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Most of the staff were half my age too. Glad to see that not all the younger gens are only exposed to online gaming guns and not the real ones. read more

Fantastic company and wish I found them earlier! I have been buying weapons and supplies for 40 years and I found a shotgun to purchase from them on line last month. The weapon had a flaw on the stock and they offered me a big discount if I wanted that gun, a refund if I did not or they would get me a replacement gun from the manufacturer. In addition to offering me the best price that I could find on line, but Mister Guns got me a replacement weapon in two weeks and as a standard practice no delivery fee was charged! Mister Guns has to be hands down the best gun shop in the area. I've purchased a wide array of firearms and accessories from them and have never left with anything but a smile on my face. As other reviewers have pointed out, their current shop is quite small so if you are window shopping, it may be a bit tough to see all the goodies they offer. However there is seldom a need to window shop at Mister Guns, because you can ask any of the staff nearly any question and they are always more than happy to help. The shop size will be changing materially in 2 weeks when they open their range and expanded shop which is much larger. About the staff - it is amazing how patient everyone is. They can indeed get extremely busy, but the folks working the desk take it in stride and answer every question with a smile. Whether it is Josh, Grant, Boone, Sean, Mark, or any of the other folks working on a given day, you can bet there is no question too simple or too complex for them. You do sometimes have to wait your turn in line, but it's easy to understand why when service is top notch and they take their time to make sure every customer is taken care of. Like most stores, Mister Guns' inventory changes rapidly and they do a great job of taking calls to let you know what is in stock at the moment. At some places, calling to check on in-stock inventory gets you an attitude that makes it feels like you are bothering the store personnel - this is not the case at Mister Guns. The folks at Mister Guns always provide accurate and friendly answers over the phone. I highly recommend Mister Guns for experienced shooters or those who are brand new to the sport. My experience has always been that firearms shops are a place you go where the staff treats you like you're lucky for them to make time for you. I've tried a number of shops up in Chicago (prior to my move to TX) and it was always the same experience - which led me to starting to buy as much as I can through online vendors. My experience with this shop just changed a ton of that perception...specifically due to the service that your NFA store manager Adam provided me. His knowledge and dedication to customer service stood out and I let him know that I won't even bother looking at other shops in the area as a result. Here's a run down of what made my experience so smooth: 1) Knowledge - Adam knew the ropes inside and out regarding the NFA process. A couple portions got confusing but he answered every question I had and walked me through any concerns. 2) Full service - they took my fingerprints and photo onsite which is nice, but kind of expected. However, the fact that Adam had all of my paperwork pre-filled out really showcased the job that this store does to fully walk a customer through a sale. I had to review paperwork and sign, but all the heavy lifting was done for me. 3) Customer Focus - Adam (and the two guys in back...can't remember their name) were friendly and engaging. Their attention was focused on the customer and making sure I was taken care of. At no point did anyone "forget" about me where I'm wandering in the corner of the store looking at gear waiting for someone to come get me. 4) Follow Up - Adam provided me with his email address so that I could send over my final forms and any questions I had after I was ready to send. The guy was up at 10PM still answering emails and got back to me. Add to that, the owner of the shop monitors the inquiry emails on the site and he's highly responsive as well. No waiting for a day or two to get back - he's super easy to communicate with and usually responds to you within a couple hours. Result of my experience with this shop and its staff means I'll be bringing all my business here moving forward. read more

Love this store. Great prices and options. My only reason that I did not give a full 5 star rating is that I went to purchase a vp9 le the other day but realized the gun I had purchased was actually a standard vp9 full size in burnt broze. The vp9 I received only came with 2 mags, opposed to the 3, and phosphorescent night sights. Not the tru glow night sights. Overall my experience was satisfactory besides the slight mix up. Although this is the case, I received great customer service and will be returning in the future. read more

Boone and his co-worker were very knowledgeable about the current technology and offerings in the silencer market. They had personal experience with many of the products I was interested in, and gave their considered opinion without pushing any one product over another. They display a high level of competence regarding the NFA purchasing process as well, and the pricing seems very competitive compared to what I've seen at other dealers. I'll give an update along the way if I run into any problems, but I really don't see any developing with this group of friendly gun guys. Great experience. Very quick, Grant behind the counter was awesome and very knowledgeable. Purchased my first AR pistol online and shipped here - they received and 'checked in' very quick and called me to let me know it had arrived. Upon me asking, they went over differences between the AR pistol(s) and SBR(s), and the stamps and trusts that could be all done in house. Prior to this I was using GT Distributors as my FFL but this is a way more personal and efficient experience in my opinion. GT is usually packed. Will definitely go back to Mister Guns. read more

Really horrible experience. Waited over and hour for service. Only one employee manning the counter who had zero customer contact/stacking skills. Two other employees stayed conveniently in the back room for 99% of the time. When they did emerge it was to do administrative tasks like receive their Fed Ex shipments. The other didn't have his FFL so he was useless, though he might have been able to clear some of the customers who just wanted to check out (but he didn't even do that). When my turn came I was offered an insultingly low trade in value for a gun I was looking to part with. Don't be fooled by their website, their offers are based on 60% of whatever GunBroker has on similar model guns that are still in the bidding process (you read that right, current bids in active auctions, not final sale price). Overall I lost an hour of my life and they lost a customer. I will not be visiting this shop again. 6/22/2020 - Update The owner provided a follow up with some explanations of staffing changes/ gun purchase policy. Now, I was incredibly upset by the lack of customer service on my first visit, and I still think the quote I was given when trying to sell my firearm was well short of what it should have been... but I respect the attempt made to explain their store policy better and the assurance that they have staffed up to avoid the long wait that I experienced. This is the best gun shop I have ever been to. I have a relatively large gun collection, and I am always getting rid of something and buying something else. The first couple of times I was selling guns, I shopped around a lot. These guys were always the most fair. Now I just know to sell to them since their offers are always great. Same with buying. I shop prices, and sure, on occasion I find something better, but 90% of the time their prices are as good as anyone can find. I trust these guys. They are always honest and easy going. Worst experience ever. I call over the phone asking them to hold a gun for me and if they can't hold it then I would give them my debit info over the phone. They tell me they will hold it so I drive 35 minutes across town to go get it. When I arrive they are selling it so some other guy and just tell me "sorry man" after they said they would hold it. These people can't keep their word. Will never go back to them again. Try Jackson Armory or Rifle Gear instead, good guys there that actually have great customer service. read more

They offer an excellent choice of high end guns, but their customer service is some of the worst in the industry. Spent 30 minutes waiting with only two others in the store. Associates were more concerned talking military and other "tactical" concepts with patrons instead of servicing someone who came in knowing exactly what they wanted. Decided to leave and take my business elsewhere, I doubt they noticed my absence. I'd suggest taking your business elsewhere. If a company doesn't concern themselves with addressing all of their customers in a timely fashion, they certainly will fail in other areas of customer service. read more
