I've been here a few times.. before and had normal customer service nothing out of the ordinary. When i tried to buy a firearm or look they take forever to help, but if your in uniform they will help you very fast. When I finally received help and wanted to buy a firearm I got the impression they didn't want to sell me one. I feel like if your not in a uniform you don't get the best customer service. I am not the most educated about guns but I had talked with a friend and knew what I wanted to purchase when I came in. I was assisted by a very friendly and knowledgeable guy named Brock that helped me, educated me and handled everything for me without making me feel bad about my lack of beginner status. Online email company don't check or not working. Website not working well, tried to order online and supposed to get free shipping from the email sent from DT Distributor for Glock 43X but free shipping not working. Contact company couple times about it and no response. Now have email on Ruger handgun and no response. Female answered call does not know much about gun information. At store, sales people are good. These guys have a great selection of firearms and and are very reasonably priced, the even offer glocks LEO/MIL discount which is a plus. The customer service is terrible, I ordered a pistol and I was told to pick it up and here I am 45 mins later still waiting at the gun counter to be helped. I asked one of the counter guys that I'm just here to pick up and he tells me I still have to wait which I understand. The problem with this is 90% of the people are just looking and trying things out. The number system is great, and in the whole 45 mins it's only moved 3 numbers. The bad luck on my end is there are 2 young ladies in front so these guys are talking a storm up tryin got get to know them. Please be prepared to spend an hour in here if you already know what you want. read more

Best gun store in north Texas! Their gun counter is how a gun shop should be ran! It's also the only gun shop in North Texas that I've been to that took the time to look at the ATF regulations to allow my firearm purchase with my military ID and my vehicle registration. Everywhere else that I had went told me that I was wrong about the regulations and wouldn't even take the time to look at the ATFs regulations for ID requirements. I also love the fact that they have special pricing for military law-enforcement and first responders. This is the only shop I will purchase from! read more

One of the best, if not THE best gun stores Ive had the pleasure of working with. FFL transfers are painless, and thier selection is top-notch. Prices may or may not be as good as Budd's Online, but it is nice to have a local shop I can go pick something up and feel it in my hand before purchase. Worth the visit! read more

UPDATE Jan 2021. Virus mitigation steps in place so safe place to shop. Timing is everything as there were at first only two clerks working the gun desk when I arrived then two more showed up. So it didn't take too long to start my purchase. More people showed up after I got started so the gun desks was busy. Best to go to buy, not just shop. I suggest if you know the gun you want to call the store's 800 number to confirm its available and have them put it on hold for you and place the order. They offer special discounts on Glock pistols so be sure to check out the website for details. UPDATE Aug 2019 I bought another pistol this time taking advantage of Glock's promotion of selling to vets from Memorial Day 2019 to Veteran's Day 2019. (Still available as of Jan 2021). Helpful staff at call center found the pistol I wanted and had it shipped to Dallas store in 5 days. UPDATE Oct 2018 Still doing a great job. I bought two Glock pistols using Glock coupons that one gets from GSSF. WOW! Great first impression (2016) especially since a back ordered gun arrived just one week later. Lucky me the manufacture sent a large supply. On my second visit (the first to place the order, no down payment needed) I spent extra time shopping and got lots of accessories for the new gun. Friendly and courteous staff. Thorough and efficient check-out and sales process. Mostly catering to the law enforcement/first-responders in the DFW area & they do sell to civilians. read more

Have been to the Austin and Dallas location. They cater to cops and other emergency service personnel, so they have the assorted equipment and clothing they might need. Staff is friendly and helpful. Got some great deals on the annual 20% off sale. read more

FFL transfer is 60$ is high priced go somewhere else and the wait is too long I don't recommend it at all.

Prices are hard to beat even at big box retailers. The staff are very pleasant to talk and are very knowledgeable about their products. The only wish I had is that I would've found them sooner. read more

Came in to the Dallas store for the first time and was immediately impressed by the sheer volume of stuff they had. While they don't have everything under the sun for Tactical/police applications, they sure get close. I went in looking for a pair of boots on the recommendation of a friend. Mason (I think that's his name) was extremely helpful, even though I kept sending him back and forth with different pairs. Item not in stock....no problem, they will order what you need and call you when it's available. Firearm transfers a just $20 and are a preferred Bud's Guns FFL. Their handling of LE customers during the Covid issue makes me question if they are truly a LE supply store. I do understand the concern of limiting customers in the location. However, the line of customers outside were definitely not LE and yes I do expect to be let in first as LE at a police supply store. Then to be limited to one box of 50 rds. of duty ammo. So lets see 3 G17 mags and one in. Oh ya thats 52 rounds. Thanks GT. 2 rounds short. Trust me, other LE and military that were at the Dallas location would agree. It looked like the line at the Sally Port not a police supply store. The store employees stated they brought the issue up to the deaf ears of the management. Good to know DSG Arms is in Fort Worth.
