We were desperate to find a cleaning company to come out and clean our empty house prior to moving in. We were out of state military on our way and wanted our house clean when we arrived. Frank was very nice over the phone and offered to see if he could have someone come in the next day to help us out. I was very thankful. We have a 1,500 square foot house. We asked to have them be sure to do the kitchen and our two bathrooms. We put a time limit on it of 6 hours and we were expecting to have most of the house cleaned as it was empty. They were unable to fully clean the kitchen and/or bathrooms in the 6 hours. If 3 hours were spent in the kitchen and let's say 1.5 hours in each bathroom then I expect them to be immaculate! This was not the case. The lazy Susans and the drawers were still dirty as well as the floor. The refrigerator and oven seem to have been cleaned but that looked like it. In the bath the tile was still dirty on the floor and my husband had to pull a huge amount of hair out of the tub drain. When we contacted Frank he said it all didn't get done because we put a time limit on them. I just don't understand what they spent 6 hours on? We definitely didn't feel like we received $330 worth of cleaning. I'll add pictures of the bathrooms and kitchen for size reference as well as pictures of what we found. I contacted five star for a move in deep clean on my house and a carpet clean with instructions to use as man hours as it would take to get the job fully done. The carpets were clearly not cleaned as they still smell and are matted down. There's saw dust all over the carpet and in the kitchen that was not there prior, the cabinets still have dirt and food in them, the bathroom sink and shower heads werent cleaned or wiped down even. They must have cleaned the oven since the door looks less stained but even that was pretty poorly done. I would not at all recommend this company. read more

In 35 years I've never been satisfied with carpet cleaning companies but again WOW, Artie cleaned our entire house carpet (25 years old) and it now looks almost new, he came back to remove a stain that happened after he had done the work, and best of all cleaned my 20 year old dining room chairs leaving them looking brand new -- recommend 150%! I contacted Five Star via Yelp on a Sunday evening, and by mid-day on Monday, the owner Frank called me. I explained that I needed someone who could clean this week, knowing it was last-minute and unlikely that anyone would be available. Frank initially said that their calendar was full, but that he'd make a few calls and see if he could put together a team for me. Within a half-hour he called me back with a team ready to go for Wednesday morning at 8am. YAY! Frank asked incredibly detailed questions and was extremely clear about exactly what I could expect from my service and the time required. My team showed up right on time and immediately got to work on the areas I'd prioritized with Frank. I didn't know the kitchen floor could be that clean! They completed the job in the time anticipated, and did a complete walkthrough with me, even touching up one small area they'd missed by mistake. The house smells INCREDIBLE, the floors are spotless, the kitchen and bathrooms are sparkling, and the surfaces are all neatly dusted. I'm so happy with the work they did! We have had monthly cleanings by Five Star Cleaning for the last couple years. Frank and his crews have been outstanding. They always show up when they are scheduled to, we are notified of their arrivals and when the jobs are complete, and are automatically scheduled and billed correctly. We trust the cleaners to always do a good job and to be in the house when we are not present and they have yet to fail us. They always do an incredible job especially with the details and special requests. They are delicate and precise. We are always extremely satisfied with their service when we come home and see it. Frank always responds quickly to our requests and flexible with our changes. We've also had them do move out cleans/move in cleans and carpet cleanings, which have all been just as well done. They are pretty expensive and not flexible on their pricing due to working with contracted help. It's $100 for big rooms (over 250 sq ft) and $50 for rooms under 250. $48 per staircase and $15 for each landing and each walk in closet. I'm not sure about the service call because this was already over the other quotes I had received and we were at about $500 for my 3 level townhouse. read more

Called and was offered different rates and services - the person on the phone really worked with me to find the most suitable arrangement. Received email reminders about my scheduled appointment in a timely fashion. My place is so clean!!!! I was referred to frank and team by one of my coworkers. I called and he was super friendly. We set up a meeting for him to come quote my place, get my preferences, etc then scheduled the cleaning. They even accommodated the day I wanted although it was a holiday week. The team came at the scheduled time and wow!!! Things I never thought were dirty, apparently were and were now clean! Best money spent ever! My whole apt felt different! It's about 120/month bc I chose the once a month option. If you get more frequently it's cheaper. They even keep a book of your preferences which is really nice! Very easy to schedule the appointment, Frank (owner) was so friendly and accommodatingand the team showed up when they were supposed to. I have never had my house professionally clean and I requested a one time deep cleaning. The team did an AMAZING job. They cleaned everything: the baseboards, ceiling fans, window blinds and ledges, the bathrooms look like new, the kitchen didn't have a single spot. For 3 crew members for 5 hours the cost was approx. $500. I will definitely use this company again in the future. I felt compelled to write another because 1) I have been continually impressed with the quality of service and 2) I recently tried a new service, carpet cleaning, and was extremely satisfied. Last week I had my carpet cleaned for the first time and honestly I had no idea how bad it was. The owner emailed me a video of buckets of dark brown water being removed from the machine after the cleaning! Five Star Cleaning Service is by far the best I have used over the last 7 years in my home. Yelp does not allow for half-star ratings, so 5 if what I am giving them but 4.5 is what I think. There is always room for a little bit of improvement, however Frank and his team are out to make you happy. They take feedback well and really do strive to make you happy. They are very accommodating and very easy to work with. Plus they really actually clean, I mean really, really clean unlike many services I have had that were "swish and swipers".
