It's an okay hotel for a small city . We stayed here for 1 night as it's close to Hoh national park. The rooms are lil worn out I felt , not lit enough. The furniture, room layout , everything looked old to me . Carpet was visibly dirty . Bed was comfortable enough though . There is free self parking on site . They don't have the free breakfast buffet , not even grab and go stuff which I would have preferred . They do have free coffee that you can get on the morning. Staff is friendly though and they welcome you with smiles which is nice . They had a notice in the room stating they charge you for damaged / stained item ( like towels )which was shocking to me .Haven't seen this before anywhere. The walls are thin and if the adjacent room is noisy , then be ready to get disturbed ( happened with us) . Couldn't see any elevator as well on the property which could be an issue to some people. Stay here only if your highest priority is staying close to Hoh rainforest . 3 stars for location, the staff and the bed. read more

This was a nice affordable cozy place to stay at when I was visiting Forks. I was spending a few days exploring Olympic National Park and ended up staying here at this hotel. I didn't get to use the pool or check out any other amenities that they might have here because I was gone most of the time. But my bed was comfortable and I slept well. There are a number of places within minutes that you can grab some food at. The check-in process was smooth and the hospitality was great. read more

The Forks motel was a novel experience for me as I usually stay in larger hotels. Its appears to have been built int he 1940's or 1950's. It looks like any motel from that era with low rise buildings (single or 2 story). I expect far more for over $200 a night!! One needed to be very mindful going out the front door as you immediately were confronted with several stark concrete steps, but no landing at the top. When I walked into the doorway of my room, the first thing noticed was a rather musty smell, perhaps unavoidable given the 120" of annual rainfall in the town. A bit later, the bed in the room to my left was banging vigorously against he wall on one side with the imagined sound effects of a porn hub video, while I could hear the conversation almost word for word on the other side. I learned that if I kept the somewhat loud heat/air conditioning unit on in conjunction with the loud fan in the wash room, the noises were mostly drowned out. Outside there was someone who had a car with no muffler that would sit in his car and let it run and occasionally rev it for 3-4 minutes at a time. It was very loud. If you love the decor of the last 70's, you will feel right at home. The wall behind the bed was a fairly bright red and the walls were painted a mustard yellow. The valance and decorate drape panels were a busy checkered combination of small rows of gold, three shades of brown, with a muted mustard yellow background. The carpet was worn and somewhat soiled in spots along with another busy, indescribable pattern. there was a sitting chair with ottoman which was a dark pink with a busy criss cross pattern of disconnected white lines. The privacy drape was a dark brown. On the bed there was a quilt in primarily white and blue squares. The concern is such a quilt is assuredly not laundered in between guests, so who knows who or what was sitting on it in the past. The "desk," (using the term loosely) chair was yet another pattern with a dark cacao color and a grid of criss-crossed yellow lines. There was a table with chairs where the upholstery was a muted pink. Having worked in several state hospitals, it was identical to the very heavy duty items we purchased from prison industries. not particularly attractive, but very sturdy. The sheets were almost see through thin. I had to look a number of times to ensure they were not stained and realized they were just partially see through. The mattress about did me in. It was low end and beyond firm. I had just recovered from several months of poor mobility due to a back injury and this mattress did me no favors. On the positive side, there was a petite, but nice stainless unit with a refrigerator and freezer, uncommon in most lodging. The bathroom had been updated and was thoughtfully designed with a well lit mirror a magnifying mirror that was attached to the wall but adjustable, a nice faucet fixture, a faux granite counter, a shower, and a commode. The down side was in taking my first shower, someone nearby was apparently doing likewise, so my water would go from very hot to very cold almost rhythmically. This was rather typical in motels when I was growing up. A vaulted ceiling with exposed beam was nice for a rustic area. For better imagination, the sister property of this motel was down the street and called the "Dew Drop In." The location was convenient in the middle of Forks with their few restaurants. They do have coin operated laundry facilities. Pacific Pizza has a menu with many options and is very popular in town. Nice combo market/supply store/hardware store next to Pacific Pizza. read more

We stayed in Forks while we're exploring Olympic Natl Park and surrounding areas. Unfortunately, everything else in town was booked for our dates so we stayed here. First impression, I went to check in and everyone was rude. No greeting. No smiles. No glad you're here. Thanks for choosing for your stay. Zero. Nothing. The room was clean enough. Looked like it hadn't been updated since the day it was built. Smelled musty. We didn't have a shower curtain. I had to call and ask for one. Girl shows up at the door. "Were you guys the ones who asked for a shower curtain?" "Yes" "Here ya go" Turned and left. No apology. Nothing. Just acted like it was a major inconvenience we wanted a shower curtain. How dare we. Pretty spacious bathroom with a rather small vanity. No place to really sit your things. One hook for towels. If you put two towels on it they are not going to dry, so we had to hang one over the bar for your clothes. Our first night we could hear several people in the parking lot and in the room next door seemingly partying. Whatever they were doing it was loud. Every night after that you could hear the people in the room next to us. All in all, not a pleasant stay. Next time we are in the area I'll book much sooner and stay somewhere else. read more

This is a nice a cozy place in Forks. I have been to many hotels. Amenities are close. Places to eat are not far. Try it out. Forks Motel Won't disappoint. Wifi works well. Pool is in the middle of course due to being a Motel. It also looked cleaned and well maintained. The only thing I would recommend is just adding a deodorizing top wall spritzer. Since it's like a cabin like feature definitely go with cabin smell or pine. 4 stars from this guy. read more

A great place to stay in the town of Forks! As you can see from the photos, the colors and furniture are a bit outdated but nonetheless comfortable and spacious. There is no elevator to get to the second floor since you enter your room from the outside, but it's not too bad if your suitcases or bags don't weigh too much. What surprised me the most was the beautiful vanity mirror! In such an outdated room the mirror really adds that extra touch. The tv worked great and the wifi was good as well. I don't believe they serve breakfast, but there are several little drive through eateries to choose from on your way out of town. Overall, a comfortable place to sleep in a nice quiet town! read more

I would not stay here unless it's my only choice, which in my case it was. Objectively, the price we paid was extremely high. For that price you can stay in a nice hotel in a city. The rooms components that were in the control of the housekeeping (bathroom floors, shower, etc.) were cleaned well! Those parts which were residually left in the room-- the things that cannot be cleaned from guest-to-guest-- were gross (the couches had stains, etc.) This sounds silly to comment on, but the illumination from the lamps was so dim it was comical. When I turned the lamps on it was like the room was being lit by a candle-- only even more dim. At 8am housekeeping woke us up knocking on our door, but if they hadn't, we likely would have been awoken by the wheeled laundry bin rolling around on the concrete and over the bumps outside our door. The staff was helpful and resourceful when we needed anything! I think the rooms just need a major facelift. read more

The Forks Motel seemed to have good ratings on Priceline and Hotels.com. But these sites indicated that they had no rooms available through their websites, and suggested that a room might be available with a direct booking to the motel. Big mistake. I believe that the Forks Motel uses direct booking to get rid of their bad rooms at jacked-up rates. I was told that only a "Queen Economy" was available, but since I was driving while making the reservation, I thought I heard "Queen Deluxe" when they quoted $200 plus a night for the room. My bad. For $200 a night, I got a crappy room in a below-average motel. The room was very tiny, and reeked of mustiness. It looked like it had not been renovated since the 1970s. There was no refrigerator (because, of course, it was only a $200 "economy" room). There were signs throughout the room stating that they would impose a surcharge for damage, missing towels, etc. That any hotel would do so is no surprise, but to have such signs posted in the room announcing this policy was a red flag. This was especially concerning when I noticed the preexisting damaged lamp shade and various minor damage in the room. I was concerned that they would attempt to surcharge me for that damage, on the pretext that it did not exist prior to my checking in. The final straw was when I pulled back the bedcovers. The sheets were a little discolored, and I wondered when was the last time they changed the sheets. It did not feel safe or comfortable enough to spend the night here. I decided to check out about 1 hour after checking in. I asked for a refund, but of course, they refused. I actually stayed that night at another Hotel run by the same company, but located in Port Angeles. I had stayed there before and it was quite nice. And, yes, it was not priced at $200 plus per night. I left a message for the GM of the hotel chain to contact me to discuss the above, but I have yet to hear anything. Because the Forks Motel generally did have some good reviews, I can only conclude that they may have some substandard rooms that they reserve for the last-minute direct bookings, and can feel free to charge premium rates without fear of bad reviews on the big hotel sites. Because I question their ethics, I suggest that you avoid this place, but if you do decide to stay here, book only through the hotel sites (so that you can post appropriate reviews), and be sure not to pay premium prices for a below average motel. read more

Simple, no-frills motel which is exactly what I expected. At the same time, it was clean, comfortable, and convenient. We stayed here the night before visiting the Hoh Rainforest. Conveniently located in downtown Forks, a quick drive from the Hoh. Close to a grocery store, coffee shops, and various eateries. Just be aware of the time, everything closes pretty early nowadays due to Covid. Call to be sure. The rooms were typical but clean. No unpleasant surprises. Comfortable bed. Clean and large bathroom. Nice shower -- very hot with great water pressure. We didn't get a fridge in our room but I think other rooms may have that option for a small fee. We had a microwave though. Plenty of parking in the lot. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. According to Hotels.com, the front desk is open 7AM - 11PM so if you're checking in later, contact the hotel and find out how to do that. read more

Stayed here last week. I was a little bummed about the false advertising on the website. Its states you allow late check out but when we made the appointment we were told you dont do that yet the website states you do. Sucks because we got in at 1030 and wanted to relax and not be rushed the next day. The lady at the desk didnt smile and almost like she didnt want to be there. I get it's late and youre tired but dont be rude to your guests. You choose to work here and smiling isn't hard. The rooms were nice and clean but I wouldn't stay again. Reception at the front desk was OK; staff was polite but not friendly or welcoming. I wasn't expecting much from my room, but it appeared to have been partially updated fairly recently. The bathroom and sink area were really nice, as were the beds, desk chair, and some of the other décor. Some of the furniture looked like it had been there for decades, though, and there was a pervasive unpleasant smell. Wi-fi was spotty. There aren't a lot of lodging options in Forks, and you'll do fine if you stay here, but it won't be your favorite motel stay. read more

I had a great experience at this hotel this time. I have it 3 stars 5 years ago. My room was pleasant. I believe it's been updated since we were here last. I had no issues with the room. My sister, however, didn't have the same experience. Nothing too bad, but drain stopper in the sink missing, smell to the room, etc. Kids swam in the pool. This was a great place to stay during our visit to Forks! Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean and comfortable and it is in a great location with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. The kids loved having the heated pool. We took a road trip from Puyallup where my daughter and her family just moved to from Texas. We weren't sure what to expect with the low price of $74 but wow! It was darling! Clean, and beautifully decorated! The outside was so cute, and the inside was better than some 5 star hotels I've stayed in! Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, and very clean. There was a microwave and minifridge in the room and a coffee pot with everything you need for your morning cup of joe. Very impressed! read more

This whole town is a sh!thole. Half the stuff in the motel didn't work, rude staff. Got locked out of the room continuously because the key cards stopped working after one use. All the food options in town suck and can't keep up with the tourism so be prepared to wait hours on food. If I were you I'd plan your over night stop in a real town. read more

Stayed here for a couple of nights. The staff was very friendly. They have games at the front desk and helpful maps of the park. The rooms were extremely clean. A bit dated, but very clean. This is an older, outside entrance motel. We found it to be adequate. The room was large and clean. The only issue we had was the water pipe noise when the people in the next room showered - it was LOUD! (We were in room 107). Fortunately they did not shower when we were trying to sleep. Room was clean, easy to check in, as all the basic essential's people need to sleep more than just 2 people for a reasonable price. Waking distance to a good coffee spot and small sitting area inside the office which holds games and books for a little extra for guest. If you get into town after closing the office will leave your room keys in a key box with your name on it. Ring from a big city a bit surprised but my husband who is from a small town was not at all overall it's a good place to crash for a quick trip and close enough in between cool stuff to check out. Plus the rain forest is right in the back ground of the town, which was really awesome to see. And if your a Twilight Fan this is the spot for you. read more

The Forks Motel was not what we expected by reading the reviews. The room smelled like they used to much cleaner. The carpet was ripped and and frayed. We pulled back the sheets to find strands of long hair in the sheets. The chair we would not sit on without putting a cover on it first. My wife was so discussed, she asked me to go across the street to check out into another hotel, which I did. For $2 more we got a nice CLEAN room! I would strongly not recommend the Forks Motel to anyone read more

This is a very nicely updated motel, with AC, lighted mirrors, ultra clean bathrooms, clean decorative bedspreads, and very nice staff. Even with pet fees, this motel is reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place for being clean, quiet, and friendly. read more

If you've been hiking on the peninsula all day and don't have a tent (or just want a hot shower) this place will get the job done. Rooms are no-frills but after hiking 12 miles I really did not care. Overall, I was a lot more comfortable than I initially anticipated. Came here during off season, so it was pretty empty, which made it nice and quiet. They have done such a fabulous job with this place! The new owner has really turned this place around and it is a nice place to stay! The rooms are freshly painted the decor is decadent to the eyes the staff there is much more friendly than the old staff! I love this place the only thing that disappointed me was that their pool was not finished yet but due to the lockdowns and the plan -Demic things went a little slow. This is not the hotels fault the only thing that I regret is not being able to stay longer! I can't wait to go back again! I highly recommend this place for your stay! Everything is so close by and it's a very nice quiet town and it is located near literally everything wild to do in the Pacific Northwest! The rainforest is about 20 minutes away the beaches are about 25 minutes away the weather this year was unseasonably warm the restaurants are fabulous everything in this town is within walking distance too! read more
