We came here last fall for the first time and loved it. Many of their products like mugs, shirts or fruit preserves were very expensive - but that is to be expected. It's still very nice for a day trip with the family, especially if you're into hayrides. And the snacks are great! :)

Due to weather, our experience was less ideal. It's hard to enjoy anything when it's pouring rain. However, when the sun did come out we were able to pick out pumpkins and enjoy the fall atmosphere. The kids (ages 2-8) did get bored quickly which made us question the hour drive to get there. Pros: -large variety of pumpkins -price of pumpkins -photo ops -delicious treats (funnel cake, pumpkin bread, etc) -friendly staff Cons: -lack of activities -crowding in indoor areas -price of hayrides

An annual fall tradition, Burt's has great options for fall decor and edible pumpkins. This year they added nice signage to give you even more information. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, so avoid busy times to avoid wheel barrel collisons, ha!

The kids were happy with their over and I hate a peach milkshake. It was very good! Fresh, didn't taste artificial.

The place is super cute and the people are nice. Only down side is there is no where to sit. So if you are waiting for a hay ride and you sit on hay they will get on to you (because it could collapse). Only way to sit is in your car or on the hay ride which is $6. The apple cider is $3 for a small cup of it. It is good but not worth the price per ounce. I got pumpkin butter for $10 and I am excited to try it.

It's a family run, low key, beautiful farm with picnic tables with toys set up for littles to play with, there's a beautiful farmhouse store with local products and they have their own fresh farm grown produce and treats for sale too. The pumpkins are not overly expensive and I consider hem to reasonably priced AND you're shopping local! I wish I had gotten the sweet man who drives the tractors name because he was my favorite part. A little hayride around their beautiful land with some life lessons thrown in for everyone to appreciate. And for all of us basic girls there are PLENTY of beautiful photo ops! Oh and 2 words Muscadine Slushies!

Love the variety of apples when in season from sweet to tart to crispy to tangy! BJ Reeces also has a variety of fresh honey and jams/preserves of all different flavors. Their nostalgic barn feeling decor that's spacious and clean and organize is easy to get around. We got their Apple cider, cinnamon apple donut, and apple fritter. The Apple cider and cinnamon apple donut were really good! But their Apple fritter was disappointing. I think if it was warmed it would have been better. There is also no indoor seating (which usually is probably not a problem). But since it was rainy and cold we couldn't sit outside, and there were zero seats inside, so we went back to our car to eat. Everyone was very nice and I would go back, but I would also have better expectations

And they deserve no less than 5 stars for the experience, from my first correspondence with Holly to arrange the tour, to arriving. The directions and the signage were momentarily confusing, but the site indicates to drive towards the right behind the barn on the gravel road. Pulling in you can't help but "awww" over the chickens, ducks, dogs and alpacas dotting the property. Once all of the other guests had arrived, the tour began and it was both fun and informational, about the farm, alpacas, and the artwork made from their fibers. Even my little one was less than her squirmy fidgety self and listened. Feeding the alpacas was really the most fun part as we were told that they don't particularly like being petted on their heads (only a minor bummer as we'd gleefully hoped that we'd get a few gentle pats in.) The tour finished up in the upstairs art studio where hand-made gifts were available, or where one could make a donation, as the tour is free. For how much fun it was, I wouldn't have hesitated to have been required to pay for it anyways. It was a very fun and memorable morning meeting some gentle and fluffy alpacas up close, and I would strongly suggest that anybody making a weekend trip to this area to plan ahead to also visit Lasso the Moon.
