There is no water fountain that I could see so bring your water bottles and of course they have water you can buy. The workers are so kind and helpful as well . The small store has an assortment of honeys made by their own bee hives that they move around in different parts of the US. We so enjoyed the day and will go back in June to pick peaches.

A fun fall date!…read more Southern Belle Farm, located in McDonough, provides hours of wholesome fun and free parking. My wife and I arrived on a warm October day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and U-pick flowers. We arrived in the afternoon, but there was plenty of selection and nothing was "picked over." I paid $16 for a quart sized plastic vase for my U-pick flowers. They sell gallon sized buckets as well. Scissors and water are provided. Be mindful of bees in the field. They won't trouble you if you don't trouble them. There is an area in the back for you to arrange the flowers; I took full advantage of this because this trip doubled as a photo shoot. There were all types of people enjoying the farm; IG girls, families, even one couple using a wagon full of pumpkins as a baby announcement. Pumpkins range from $5-$20 each depending on size and breed. A nice young man named Luke helped us corral our pumpkins and carry them to our car. I didn't know they offered that service, but we tipped well. If you run up an appetite, they have a snack bar with fritters, ice cream, and lemonade. I'll be back next fall!

Parking was calm and plentiful and we weren't bumping into other strawberry pickers left and right. It costs about $20 for a large bucket (which you get to keep) and you pay $1 per person to access the fields. We feared we may have missed peak season but there were still plenty of ripe strawberries to choose from. It is also well organized with the staff directing where folks should go. After we picked our buckets worth, we grabbed a huge fresh lemonade from a parked truck, did some shopping in the cute store, and got a strawberry ice cream. I have to admit this was a bit of a disappointment especially based on all of the rave reviews. To us it tasted like it was pre-packaged and came from the freezer. The strawberries were frozen/rock solid and while they were plentiful it would have been great if they were softer or appeared as though it was fresh churned. Otherwise we really enjoyed the experience and can't wait to go back for picking other fruits throughout the year.

I came here with my two kids to pick some blueberries and got so much more! We came at the end of blueberries season due to a threat of low crops, but honestly we got out with a full 1/2 gallon bucket for $8. You can do a gallon for $16. Just drive up and pay via QR Code Cash App, Venmo, PayPal or just drop cash in the drop box. Due to COVID they have pre- cleaned buckets in a section for grabbing along with hand sanitizer with entrance instructions. Once you leave there is a "dirty" pile for buckets after use. Along with there 30+ blueberry bushes, the have a large area of 8-10ft tall sunflowers and other flowers they can pick for you to bring home. They also have other product like squash and peas for purchase. There are plenty of photo opportunities, but again be respectful. At the end/bottom of the farm near the animals they have shaved ice, drinks and seating area to hang out. They also have shaded areas to sit at with tables around the property. For animals they have their personal livestock with donkeys, a llama, goats, ducks, roosters, hens, and a peacock.
