First time was…read morefor an alignment, second time I asked them to pressure test for a coolant leak, last time for tire mount and balance. First visit I had no issues. Second visit they were unable to find the leak, so I took it to the Ford dealership and they were able to find and fix the same day (spoiler alert, it was the heater core hose, guys). Last visit earlier this year I took in wheels and tires for mount and balance. They had them for a month before I just came and took them back to try somewhere else. They were able to get 3/4 of them done. They absolutely destroyed the finish on all four of the wheels, so severely in fact that in some places the metal surface of the wheel is also damaged. Against my better judgement, when I was asked if they could use ether to help seat the bead, I trusted them and said "do what you gotta do". Well, the guy used so much of the stuff it appears that the sidewall of one of the tires actually caught on fire. Goodbye warranty. This also destroyed the tire pressure monitor so completely that it doesn't even know what a psi is anymore. Tremendously disappointed to have had my things treated this way. Here's the kicker, I was still charged for mount and balance x4 even though they couldn't get the last one finished. I had to take it to Discount Tire in Dothan to finish the job. Which they did, by the way in about an hour. I guess it helps when you've got the right equipment and know what you're doing. Who knew? Aside from the poor work ethic there was absolutely no communication from them during the entire month they had the wheels and tires. Moral of the story is find a different shop. As far as I'm concerned this place is a barrel of monkeys.

The owner was rude to my daughter who was holding my youngest granddaughter and when I pointed out he may have been a little rude and I did it very politely even calling him Sir. He cussed me out, threatened to raise the price 500.00 and after he cussed and yelled at me for 10 minutes. He went inside and yelled at my daughter. You all know that I have changed. I didn't yell back I didn't cuss back. I maintained composure but it took everything I had to maintain that composure. I am recommending to my friends in the wire grass to not use Southern Automotive and Towing. Think about a business owner who is carrying a sidearm that will go yell at a woman who is carrying her 13 month old baby. Does that sound like the kind of business you want to do business with. He cussed me out and I am a US veteran with 28 years of service and four deployments using language that I will not use no matter how frustrated I am. For a business owner he is completely unprofessional and unemphathetic. I simply said Sir, I think you owe my daughter an apology due his tone and rudeness and he lost it. Other people I've talked said they had items stolen from their vehicles. Business owners I have known for years say the owner is difficult to get along with. The owner is a bully and he has perfected the craft of being a bully.
