Happy to know this is the original, Common Man, who serve dinner ALL DAY! All the food I've eaten at any Common Man is very good. The Yankee Pot Roast is a favorite of mine. But, the chicken pot pie they make called to me. Their buttery, pie crust was flaky & stuffed with pieces of chicken and veggies. Bar none the best I've ever eaten. Our server was right on top of our needs. She had a good sense of humor and knew the menu well. Her knowledge was appreciated. We weren't rushed. The interior was charming & clean. There was a full bar down stairs in a room on its own. Another smaller bar is upstairs. Both floors had plenty of dining tables. Cheese and crackers were set up to help yourself. Eating at a table, on the roof top patio was a real treat. The view was sweet, seeing the Common Man's, Country Store & ice-cream shop. This Main Street area has charm. It was such a relaxing treat before getting home. Thank you, Common Man!

Our host and servers were all so friendly and helpful. Mom got a Cobb salad and I got sweet corn ravioli with chicken and red peppers and a cream sauce. We both enjoyed everything.

Their ice cream is made with a tiny number of ingredients and you will recognize everything in there. We came during the winter, so we did not get to experience the make your own flavor where they make it in front of you with liquid nitrogen, but we had a large assortment of flavors as ice cream pops dipped in chocolate. If this place was near me, they would be my go-to #1 ice cream shop. The ice cream was not overwhelmingly sweet and since it was made with cashews it did not have an overpowering coconut taste. The owner was ridiculously nice.

Oh no... had we stumbled onto some hippie facsimile of ice cream that would leave us just as fat but not as happy? The next nearest place was twenty minutes away (hey... it's the woods). Maybe we could just pick up a pint of Ben and Jerry's at a supermarket? Oh wait, those are wicked far, too. So we took the plunge. Are we ever happy we did. This is no flimsy health food recreation, this is the real deal. I'd even say better than ice cream. The owner makes it right in front of you--dripping cashew milk onto a frozen counter that he then freezes with liquid nitrogen. The kids had a lot of fun watching it. Everyone was amazed at how good it was. Given the crowd at an off hour of Saturday afternoon, it's a local favorite. It's not like there is any foot traffic. It's almost worth a two hour drive from Boston to have again!

I had requested a window table when booking and we got one! The restaurant seemed full, with mostly resort guests. Very lively bar area, great atmosphere and lighting. No children in sight while we were there. Our waitress was very polite and efficient as well. We had the Caesar salad and fried calamari as appetizers; that's what we had last year and we loved it - still great this year. Boyfriend *loved* the calamari, it did have a "kick" to it - watch out for those jalapeños! He gives me that big parmesan chip from his salad and I love it! He had the 14oz striploin steak as main dish and unfortunately, wasn't too impressed. He found it a bit overcooked (had asked for medium rare) and it was kind of bland (that's probably his fault though because he had asked them to remove the garlic aioli usually served with it). Also - this cut wasn't a bone-in so the steak was bigger than he expected, and he couldn't finish it. He loved the asparagus and other veggies however, which were prepared perfectly. I had the napoleatan Ragu which I thought (from seeing pictures on social media) would be a MUCH smaller portion than what was served. It was tasty but I couldn't finish half. If you are boxing up leftovers it would probably reheat really well the next day (we couldn't as we are on a road trip. I mean, maybe I could have anyway. But it's a bit late to think of that now, Amelie). Overall it was another great evening... ambiance is most important to me when eating out and this place has it right. We liked our main dishes better on our 2025 visit though (pizza and shrimp scampi) - and would keep that in mind if/when we return...

It looked over the small vineyards and you could also get a glimpse of the pool area. Our server was efficient and friendly. The bread served is focaccia with oil, balsamic dip, delicious, we shared the beet salad appetizer , dinner grilled salmon with lemon risotto, and Chicken Parmesan. We had Dubai chocolate torte for dessert. Everything from start to finish was delicious and would definitely come back when in the area.
