You know... at this point in my Yelping career I am finding that if I can't recommend a business as outstanding to me (or five star) I just don't recommend them at all. Something like... if you can't say something great, then don't say anything. I'm not a big fan of complainers. That said... I give "Wicked Good Bakery" five stars. This morning I opened up Yelp on my phone and selected "Nearby" and then next I selected "Hot New Businesses." One new business in Plymouth popped up and It was... "Wicked Good Bakery." I thought the find was very coincidental as I had seen a small sign about a week ago for a bakery off of Fairgrounds Rd. A week ago, I couldn't find it as I just didn't go far enough down Cooksville Rd. Today, I was determined to find it and find it, I did. If you're familiar with Plymouth... as I am, you think to yourself, what is a bakery doing on Cooksville Rd.? Right? Well today I found out. I called the business phone number and spoke to Sarah to confirm the location. She was very polite and helpful. I then headed on over and found a Wicked Good Bakery. The bakery is located in the home of Sarah and Jean Sleeper. It's surrounded by a beautiful country landscape and after speaking with the owner for a bit, I could clearly see how their dream will develop in time to be a confection destination. The signage is lacking some, but it's a new business and they are working on the issue. Some towns have very strict policies on signage and being a new business they are focusing on their product and working on the details as they go. Another quick drawback to just get out of the way is... coffee. Again, being a new business and primarily a bakery to begin with, the coffee will flow, but just not now. There is a temporary solution to the coffee issue I will share with you by the end of this review. I found the business right where she said it would be... my inability to find it a week ago was clearly a man issue. When in doubt... ask directions. Anyway, I pulled up and walked in. Before I had closed the door behind me, I was greeted warmly with a friendly hello. I asked if she was Sarah and she said it was. She gave me a great big smile and welcomed me into her bakery/home. Right away I spied their delectable wares and as I was mentioning how it all looked so awesome, I was offered a peanut butter cookie topped with a chocolate kiss. It was delicious and from there I was hooked. I asked about the coffee situation and she acknowledged it is definitely an opportunity and they are working on. We joked about how for now they welcome their guests to make a quick stop for a dollar coffee at McDonald's since it is on the way from downtown. (Feel free to bring Sarah a plain coffee as well.) As Sarah and I spoke, her mother, Jean walked in and joined the conversation. They are definitely a pair! Friendly warm and funny for sure. Together, Sarah and Jean shared some of their goals and ideas with me. I really think they have a great plan. Their personalities, ambition, and ingenuity are inspiring. Their product speaks for itself. I am excited for them and look forward to enjoying their company for some time to come. Some fun facts... As small as their business is, they are still able to take credit cards. I know of three other coffee/bakery shops nearby that only take cash and being the 21st century, that is aggravating to me. Wicked Good Bakery's pricing is more than fair... in fact I believe some items are actually under priced! I found "Wicked Good Bakery" on Facebook today and there is a virtual catalog to look at for products they make. Even though there is no coffee yet... there is the McDonald's option. Great people... Great products... Great experience... Go see them!

I was traveling South to go celebrate a wonderful placement my daughter Melissa Colcord made. She is a Recruiting Manager for KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting. How proud I am of her. I was searching for a bakery near Ashland NH and typed that in on Yelp. It brought me to a wonderful farmhouse in Plymouth NH. I was greeted by a sparkly baker. I was able to deliver a beautiful pink colored box wrapped in lime green ribbon to her office. Who doesn't want to enjoy the positive things with the ones you love. This bakery is amazing and worth the trip to see. Congratulations to my daughter. I will visit this bakery again it smelled amazing!

Friendly owners, family recipes, delicious food, amazing smells. What more do you want from a bakery? They even take credit cards.

Must be the best bakery in NH, easily. The cupcakes are fantastic, as are the whoopie pies. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I expected that I would at least get a call back some point Wednesday, if the message or email was not checked when they were closed, but I received no call back, so Thursday morning I called again, and left another message. No call back. Apparently, they don't care about new business or providing good customer service. Even if they couldn't accommodate my order, an email or call back would have been nice.

They provided the cupcakes for our wedding and subsequent anniversaries and celebrations. Every cupcake has been delicious, the staff is always friendly, and the store is always clean and neat. The flavors we love the most are cookie dough, anything with peanut butter frosting, and red velvet. Their menu has expanded and the brownies and cookies are really good too. Also, it's worth noting that on our first trip in (April 2013) when my husband was in his uniform and the owner came out and thanked him for his service and offered us free cupcake cards. It was a really nice personal touch and made us happy to be supporting a local business, on top of their delicious products.

I like to try to support small businesses so I will say that the people in line seemed pretty intent on getting their coffee, but I was super bummed to not return back to our group with a (vegan) fruit pie. I Yelped this place (keep those reviews coming kids) and thought maybe I'd try to grab a savory chicken pot pie hand pie or something to tide me over. I didn't realize the pot pies were like dinner size lmao so I had to regroup. They had blueberry pie!! Now this is not remarkable in itself but all I wanted for my bday was to go to Acadia and have a lobster roll and blueberry pie on the big day and I had to change my plans for the SECOND year in a row. So in the words of Denzel I said to myself, "I'm leaving here with something." So I got a maple latte - lord. This is probably my fave coffee flavor - and a small blueberry pie for myself. There's a scene in the Colin Firth version of Pride and Prejudice where Mariah Lucas is panicking over how to pack her trunk based on what busybody Lady Catherine DeBerg advised her. Here comes Lizzy Bennett, "Mariah those are your trunks. You pack them the way you want." OK well Amanda G this is your pie and if you want to eat a pie for lunch in your car then you do it. And did. 20/10. Did do again. The next day. With an apple cinnamon muffin and a maple latte.

We tried the coffee cupcake (chocolate cupcake & coffee frosting with an espresso bean on top), the Boston cream & vanilla with berry on top as our three main cupcakes. We also got a chocolate with buttercream frosting, carrot cake cupcake (with real carrot shreds & cream cheese frosting) and a tiramisu. Delicious doesn't even cover it. What a brilliant idea and a gorgeous find. We've been out three times now and have yet to discover a single item that isn't outstanding. Half a dozen cookies of various flavors, the bourbon praline bread pudding, harvest bread, spice butter, pan de chocolate, and Sunday buns have all at some point come home with us. Tonight we got our hands on two slices of the triple coconut cake and those were as good as devoured pretty much as soon as we got in the door at home. Since you asked, because I know you did, they were absolutely heavenly. Moist cake, the perfect balance of coconut and delicious rich icing. I seem to recall there were cookies as well, but apparently my dearest husband scarfed all of them without sharing. I suppose I don't mind, it just gives me more reason to head back over. Preferably as soon as possible.
