Got take out and it was great! The shumai was wonderful, the salad was fresh and crispy and the chicken fried rice was very flavorful! Would definitely go again!

Delicious food and we met the owner she was super nice! I recommend trying the lamb and yuba dish.

Totally satisfied my sushi craving, was easily able to order several delicious rolls that didn't contain raw meat. Waitress Fanny was very nice and helpful when asked for recommendations. We'll be back!

I was really pleased with my first visit to Mitsuba! We were seated right away on a busy Friday night. Sushi comes out fresh and was overall really good, with really reasonable prices and generous portion sizes. My friend also enjoyed her crispy beef entree. There was a serve yourself salad bar which was nice but I didn't see it until the end of the meal so it would've been helpful if our server had pointed it out to us, otherwise service and food was great!

I really like this place to the point I wish I could give it a five stars rating. However, I been there multiple times and had a lot of issues when ordering. This past visit wasn't a exception. I went there on a Thursday evening. The place wasn't too crowded which is great. As a party of three we were seated quickly. We ordered several plates that included two appetizers, two sushi rolls, udon soup, and what I'm going to call a tofu stew (sorry I can't recall all the names). Most of the items that we ordered arrived early but, as it often happens, other things didn't make it to the table. We had this happen to us in multiple occasions, when the restaurant is fairly empty or full, on weekdays or weekends, and with entrees or appetizers. Not sure if is miscommunication issues or just the lack of a more digitalize ordering system but whatever it is it certainly needs improvement. Since we are regular costumers, mainly due to their food being very tasty, we have come to just bug the waiters multiple when we haven't received the items in our order. Also, we verify our bill to make sure we don't have to pay for items that were ordered but never came. These are things that we shouldn't need to do but what else can you do when you like the food in a restaurant and their service is somewhat deficient.

Had lower expectations after reading these reviews but was pleasantly surprised! Ordered the beef negamaki and it was juicy and flavorful; the sauce was fantastic. The vegetable tempura was also good, crispy but without drowning in batter. For my entree, I got the tonkatsu, which was a little bit of a disappointment as I wish there had been some sort of sauce for it. However, the portion was quite big. The shrimp tempura roll was also good, lacked a little flavor. Overall, good restaurant with a large menu and an interesting ambiance.

Got a delivery order from here via ubereats because I had 20$ off. The service and delivery is quick and great. The hibachi shrimp was good and a sizable portion. The chicken teriyaki was ok, the chicken pieces were so big/chunky and then drizzled with teriyaki sauce so non of us cared for it. The worst thing was the pad Thai. It tasted off. Something was old or uncooked. Non of us liked it. The salad lettuce was chunky and not cut up. I just felt it was a sloppy job on whomever is in charge of chopping and mixing at this place.

Decided to give them another try. This is after calling and getting wrong orders, having to wait 1 hour after told its going to take 30 minutes. Being ignored by everyone k. Staff while waiting inside restaurant. Was told the best way to order is through app. Did just that. When shoes up guess what? The good is not there. Oh the app doesn't work. This is not a restaurant. They a clowns managed by monkeys. Time to shut down this hole so somebody who understands customer service to come to this place. Until then avoid like plague or Covid. Never mind insanitary conditions. Where is the health department?

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. My friend and I were attracted by the near-perfect rating and the $10 for $20 deal. This turned out to be the perfect choice for dinner before a concert at the State Street Theater. We were seated immediately on a Saturday night at around 5:30 (no surprise; it's fairly early). People trickled in over the next hour including several hibachi parties. We watched some of the action and even witnessed a birthday (the birthday subject is sung a teasing birthday cheer and wears a giant mask, very funny). I knew that it was a great choice the second our waitress handed us real hot towels - something that I wish happened more often, it's nice to be pampered - and alerted us to the complimentary salad bar. The ginger dressing was as good as any I've ever had, and I was ready to go back for seconds when the waitress brought us a complimentary volcano roll. It was so crispy and delicious! I ordered the dragon roll and my friend had an avocado roll and a shiitake roll. The presentation was so beautiful, with edible orchids and a multicolored dry ice decoration. The rolls themselves were incredibly fresh and tasty, honestly flawless. I'm glad we chose Mitsuba. The staff was friendly and courteous and our bill was $6.50 per person since we used the coupon. I hope this place gains the popularity it deserves!

Big portions that are reasonably priced and several tables for large groups. It's in a former Chinese grocery and the decor wasn't much of an upgrade. The spice level is milder than most Szechuan restaurants (it probably doesn't help that my Mandarin isn't very good). I had the boiled fish which was very good and the fried beef with cumin which was surprisingly sweet.

The ordering experience was one of the most bizarre and frustrating I've had in recent years. But the food itself was delicious. Since we were driving with young wailing kids in the backseat, we called the restaurant 20 minutes out to place our order. The lady who picked up the phone told me in Chinese that the restaurant was very busy, so I should place the order when I was 10 minutes away, or better yet, when I was at the restaurant. I tried to explain that the whole point of placing the order by phone was to avoid waiting, but she had put a male Chinese-speaking colleague on the phone, who told me to just order at the restaurant because he was too busy to take phone orders. With that, he promptly hung up on me. Ten minutes out, I called again and tried to order eggplant in garlic sauce and fish in chili oil. The same man I had spoken to before had tried to get me to just place the order when I arrived at the restaurant, but I again told him that we were trying to avoid waiting for our food since we had young children (now screaming) in the car. He reluctantly took my order (I was told that my third request--vermicelli with spiced minced pork--was not available). Frustratingly, when we arrived at the restaurant, they had not even started cooking our food, so we had to wait about 15 minutes. The food itself was superb. The eggplant is some of the best I've had. The fish in chili oil was also wonderfully tender, though there was a slightly higher ratio of Napa cabbage to fish than what I've usually experienced for this dish at other restaurants. The interior of the restaurant was modest and cafeteria-like. I can't comment on the service quality for dining in. If it weren't for the rough phone ordering experience, I would be keen on ordering takeout or dining in there again.

I did find a person who visited this one and another one, Jianghu Café and so I asked her if I could only visit one, which do I do, and she said Jianhghu was the winner winner Szechuan lunch. I did go there and it was great! But I found myself having one additional dinner time without plans, so I came here as well. Walking in, I noticed what appeared to be a common Asian Massage Parlor next door, yo uget to it via the entry way that bring you here as well. Kinda odd, but it didn't bother me. Walking into this restaurant, it's very nicely laid out and beautifully décor'd! The servers and staff spoke great English and were very helpful, especially when answering questions about their menu. I started with their Garlic Cucumbers, but I asked for them to be spicy and Wow, they did a GREAT job with them! They weren't very hot, but so much spiciness and flavor - I loved them! Next up was to get their cumin chicken. They do cumin style in all their proteins, which makes for some great options. I chose their basic fried rice to come with this. The fried rice and cumin chicken were both amazing... Perfectly spiced and loaded with flavor. There were several Szechuan peppercorns in the dish, which added to the aroma and flavor of the dish. Overall - I really like this dinner! While I do feel Jianghu is slightly better, this is amazing as well!

I wish the menu provided more details about what was included in each dish. When I tried the Kung Pao Chicken, I bit into something twice that caused a strong burning sensation in my mouth. I'm still not sure what it was, because it looked like chicken at first. I also ordered the Orange Chicken and the General Tso's Chicken (extra spicy), but neither dish was spicy at all, or fresh tasting. All chicken dishes were drowned in bland sauce. Since it was our first time and we weren't sure how the food would be, we decided to order from the lunch menu. In hindsight, we all regretted that choice and felt we should have tried something else instead.
