He yelled at me and kicked me out of his shop after I used the work "archival" instead of "conservation". I explained that I use the word "archival" because that is the word most of my clients understand and that I have taken conservation classes at some top tier museums so I understand the correct use of the word....but will continue to use the word my clients understand. He ranted, called the antique pieces I had brought in "sh*t" and acted like "antique dealer" is some sort of low life compared to "decorators". I am not a decorator so he was really working on hitting me hard. I've never been treated like in a place of business.

Recommend the services of this company, which are truthfully quite unique. I had a Mata Ortiz piece sent to me by GALLERY out of Santa Fe. The piece was damaged And perimeter restored it to next to original condition. Given that it was clay pottery Aubry's insistence on excellence is what restore the peace to the point that if you inspect it currently you would be quite skilled if you could find where the flaws had been that he repaired. Secondly, he seems to have inside and apparently himself collects very nice pieces, and I acquired from him a Gorman, which he then matted and framed and did an incredible job, simply incredible and enhanced the visual presentation of the peace. Lastly, he's in the process of putting back together a Fish kill from the green river, which was literally in hundreds of pieces that is a project in process right now and I'm awaiting the results in any case I would highly highly recommend this GALLERY both for batting and framing perhaps for acquisition of pieces and clearly for repair of pieces to museum quality

After a disastrous experience with River Oaks Restoration and…read moreproprietor Ed Linehan, I brought my broken Bobby Shantz figurine to Mr. Zabak, and for less money and only two weeks time (as opposed to three months at the other place that never repaired anything), Mr. Zabak did a flawless repair job that not only left my figurine in perfect condition with no visible sign of repair work, (I had to acknowledge in writing at the other place that the repair work would be visible), but he actually strengthened the broken area with internal reinforcing rods. A+++ and Highly Recommend this master craftsman, for his skill, high standards, impeccable ethics, speedy work, fair price, and total professionalism. You can't go wrong with this gentleman.
