Not good. Little girl (10 or 11 if that?) acting as hostess questioned me as if I may not be the person who ordered the to-go order, at 9:45 ish pm.... That was a strange and immature interaction. Worse, I wish I had checked the food before I left! Terrible looking and tasting. Where did they get the pretty food pictures shown in the photos? Not an accurate depiction of what to expect here. Just take my word for it and pass on this place and find another choice. Anything will be better I'm sure of that. read more

Good sushi place on the beachside. Stopped in for lunch around noon on a Friday. We were the only ones there at this time. They had a special on the board for chicken wings so we thought we'd try them. Why not? They were actually very good and we'd love to see them on the regular menu. Sushi was good. Unfortunately, no uni but that seems to be the exception rather than the norm anymore but uni is a treat that keeps us coming back to our regular sushi joints. Anyway, small unassuming place with good food and good service. We think it's worth making the trip to check them out. read more

Went to this place because it was walking distance but so glad we did. The staff is very friendly. It is typical strip mall establishment with average decor. But the food was very good. Prepared well and generous portions. I had the hibachi chicken which was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were done just right with still a little crunch. The hibachi included soup, salad with ginger dressing, steamed or fried rice, and veggies along with choice of protein. Every single thing we ate here was delicious! The white sauce they give with the hibachi is so flavorful as well. We all enjoyed everything, from start to finish. The sumo roll was amazing. It was a shrimp tempura roll with cream cheese, spicy mayo, and spicy crab. We ordered the cheesecake tempura for dessert and it was the perfect way to end our night in Daytona beach. Literally a true Mom and Pop place!! The husband is the only sushi chef and is an artist and takes pride in every role he makes. The wife waits the tables and is super efficient and often the teenage daughter is there smiling and helping out with water, clearing tables. Although a small place (about 15 tables) the food quality and presentation is that of a big place. We had beer, Jalapeño appetizer, and 3 large rolls, $47. So very affordable!! read more

When we first arrived the hostess was on the phone for a while which is fine, but afterwards wasn't very warm or apologetic about the wait. She walked us over to our table and then tossed the menus on the table and walked away very quickly without saying another word to us. Maybe it was just a language barrier but I just didn't get a very friendly vibe from her at first. I liked the art on the walls and the style but the place was just a little dirty. The flavors in the food were unfortunately underwhelming as well but nothing was too expensive. It was some of the worst sushi I've had in quite a long time and overall hard to eat. I definitely won't be coming back here again, the whole experience was just a little disappointing. I was a little torn between 1 and 2 stars, I prefer the Publix sushi over this for the price honestly. read more

This is a small sushi joint off Atlantic Ave, very welcoming staff and atmosphere. You are tended to promptly. Sushi selection is sizable and fresh and delicious. The rolls we had were great, one of my favorites is Naruto - which is the cucumber wrapped roll with fresh tuna/salmon/krab, and is hard to find in this area. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Our quick to go spot for sushi! Same mom server who is always so nice and kind to us. We always have a good experience here. It's quiet, intimate and clean. I order a different roll each time and it's always so good! A bento box is a bento box. Everywhere I go they all taste the same. I'm not fond of them. It is your basic japanese lunch food and it's not supposed to be mindblowing. So I don't understand some reviews expecting it to be the highlight of a japanese restaurant. Hence, I order sushi. But we order it anyway to share with my family of 4 with a toddler and a baby. (My baby eats the veggie tempura, win! And my toddler eats the rice and chicken, double win!) Hubby and I get more rolls on top of our signature rolls and gyoza as appetizer (winner winner chicken dinner!) This place always feels like home to us. I ordered for my appetizer shrimp tempura, it came with 2 fried shrimp, fried mushroom,, fried zucchini, fried sweet potato and one other one I can't remember and some brown sauce to dip it in. It was so good. Then, for lunch, I ordered the lunch chicken katsu that was laying over a bed of all kinds of veggies, side of either white rice or fried, and you choose between either miso soup or ginger salad. So we just started ordering and hoped we made good choices and I would say we did. I really loved the peanut avocado roll. This was unique, and tasted amazing. The Angus and The Cowboy satisfied the beef I was craving . The Mango Tango was ok. We also ordered Crunchy tuna and The Rocket Roll. All the rolls were really fresh and tasty. I ordered chicken Katsu because I always try breaded chicken when I can and it was pretty good. The portions were good sized and we could not finish what we ordered.
