This gym also has a smell of cat litter. Not sure if it's the rubber floors or what, but the bottom floor really stinks. Other than those two, a gym is a gym and I'm there to work out. The sauna is nice and gets very hot.

The owner, Dan Owens, instructs these classes often and will absolutely crush your upper and lower body in the best possible way. He is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to making sure every person in the room knows what to do and helps with form if necessary and welcomed. Another great perk is access to the locker rooms and saunas. I feel the entire facility is kept clean and organized. I love the big windows everywhere which allow for a ton of natural light to come inside. I also enjoy using the indoor/outdoor green space on the bottom floor which has a garage door that can open and close depending on the weather. Very nice during Spring, Summer and early Fall. I never feel like I have to wait for equipment to free up, and they do offer complimentary towels at the front desk upon check-in. This athletic club is on ClassPass and I typically just purchase gym time using a couple credits or I sign up for the circuit or conditioning classes.

It's definitely a fun and family-friendly spot. But unfortunately, my visit took a bad turn. I slipped and fell on a very slick floor -- and I hadn't even been in the water yet. There was no caution sign at the spot, and it only appeared hours after my fall. My leg is still sore, and it completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing day. A friend invited me and she's a huge fan of this place, so I really wanted to enjoy it too. But safety should come first. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves the floor safety. Sadly, 3 stars from me for now.

Despite that, the associate responded by asking if I would be the guest. The interaction was surprising and uncomfortable, as it appeared an assumption was made about who held the membership. My guest and I found the comment inappropriate, and it left us questioning whether unconscious bias played a role in the exchange. I believe all members should be treated with the same level of respect and professionalism, regardless of their race or appearance. While this may not have been the associate's intention, the experience left a negative impression and is something management should address through staff training and awareness.

I'm a paying customer and should be treated with respect like others…read more I recently canceled my OneLife Fitness membership after nearly six months of attending 5 days a week. During that time, I spent an average of 1-2 hours per visit and did my best to be a respectful member--reracking weights, wiping down equipment, and being considerate of other people in the gym. The reason I canceled wasn't the equipment or the facility. It was the customer service. The towel situation became a constant source of frustration. Instead of greeting members or acknowledging them when they scan in, the front desk staff often appear more interested in avoiding eye contact than providing service. If you want a towel, don't expect anyone to offer one--you have to proactively ask for it almost every time. What made the experience even worse was being repeatedly questioned about whether I was a Premier member after requesting a towel. After coming to the gym nearly every day for half a year, being treated like I was trying to get away with something became exhausting. There is a respectful way to verify membership benefits, and then there is making paying customers feel like they're being challenged or scrutinized. What bothered me most was the lack of basic courtesy. A simple "hello," eye contact, or acknowledgment when members walk in shouldn't be difficult. Instead, I often felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by asking for a service included with the membership I was paying for. Over time, I couldn't help but wonder whether my appearance played a role in how I was being treated. As a minority with visible tattoos, I often felt singled out and scrutinized in ways that other members did not appear to be. While I can't say for certain what motivated the behavior, the repeated questioning and lack of basic courtesy left me feeling that my race and tattoos may have influenced the assumptions being made about me. I'm a combat-disabled veteran. The staff was unaware of my veteran status until I raised my concerns about how I was being treated. Once I mentioned it, their attitude noticeably changed. I was suddenly informed that they offered a VA discount, and the interactions became much friendlier. While I appreciate businesses that support veterans, it was disappointing to see a difference in how I was treated only after revealing my background. Respect and professionalism should be extended to every member from the start, not based on whether someone qualifies for a discount or has a particular status. I chose not to accept the discount and proceeded with canceling my membership. Ultimately, I realized there are too many gyms competing for my business to continue paying for an experience that consistently left me feeling unwelcome. That's why I canceled my membership and chose to take my business elsewhere.

Body by Design is a diamond in the rough for personal training and overall fitness…read more Working out and being enrolled in sports my entire life I have been told a variety of contradicting methods and correct ways to lift. This lead to me never feeling comfortable adding a ton of weight to my main compound exercises (squat, dead-lift, bent over-row, bench, overhead press, and hang-clings) or even using them at all in fear of hurting myself from bad form. After only 4 months of practicing my form I have made major jumps on all my personal records for all major lifts. Not only have I made great strides on all my lifts I no longer have the clicking knees, painful lower back, or joint problems that usually went hand in hand with lifting slightly heavy on barbell lifts. The trainers are all top of the line and extremely knowledgeable at their craft. Not only do the trainers take great pride in their knowledge of health and fitness they truly have a strong passion that is clearly infectious around the entire gym. BBD offers a variety of trainers that all have their own niche of personal training. Whatever you are looking for in a trainer you are bound to find that perfect fit to help you reach your goals and motivate you the entire way. If you're looking to get in shape and make difference in your health and fitness I would look no further that Body by Design Fitness Studio. Most trainers claim to provide custom workouts but in reality, just handing you cookie cutouts they provide to all their customers with slight differences. Trainers are all genuine people who only want to see you succeed and leave feeling like you've better yourself every time you leave their studio. I would highly recommend BBD to anyone regardless of age, wanting to improve their health and fitness.

I was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome a few years ago, and I couldn't trust my body to do basis tasks. There were so many things I would avoid doing, because my body seemed so fragile. I literally lived in fear. When I started at Body By Design, I was scared that I might injure myself but the trainers made me feel at ease by ensuring me that these exercises were the best way to prevent injury. Not only do I not experience TOS symptoms anymore, I am able to use my body like I used to! These trainers have given me my life back and I am very grateful. I'll be signing up for another year once my current contract is up.
