This Israeli restaurant at Chelsea Market in the Meatpacking District of NYC offers Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. Also popular is the Falafel and Baby cauliflower and vegetarian and vegan options. The atmosphere is very casual with a few tables inside, along with a stadium type seating and an outside area. I ordered at the counter the Wild Mushroom Falafel $18 and green beans. They bring it to your table when ready. It was so plentiful, flavorful and delicious. They operate 40 restaurants worldwide.

Amid the hustle and hustle of Chelsea Market, there are no shortage of eclectic, counter service dining spots. This outpost of Miznon, a global chain of Israeli street food, gets packed quickly. We snagged a table for an early lunch. The menu has a number of options both vegetarian (a falafel burger, seared mushrooms, charred cauliflower) and meat (lamb, chicken, slow cooked beef). The falafel burger was packed with fresh herbs, taking in a hit of flavour from pickles and a roasted tomato, while the lamb was tender, smoky, and just spicy enough (though on the salty side) The almost impossible soft pita somehow held together, though I wouldn't recommend trying to eat and walk in the crowds

Food/drinks: been here twice already and it's INSANE. Consistently so good! Really loved the rib eye and lamb kabob! The cauliflower was yum but I wouldn't get it again Atmosphere: really cute industrial look & inside Chelsea market! Lots of seating Service: kinda slow but it's cause they are making your food fresh! Price: $$ but I think worth it

My sister and I went to Chelsea market and ate the falafel pita from Miznon. The pita was warm and the falafel was a very large Patty with a crispy outer layer. The layering of the sauce and the pickle was a perfect balance for the pita and the falafel. The only complaint I have is the middle part of the Patty did taste a little bit raw. I hope to go again when it's a little less busy!

This place was highly recommended by many so decided to go here. Lamb Peta wrap: very delicious!! Lamb was cooked perfectly. The other sauces were complimenting the meat and did not overpowered anything. It comes with huge banana paper - fried and salted. If you eat small bite while eating your sandwich , it reaches to next level . This is inside Chelsea Market ... so ambiance is obviously chill. Service was good too!!

Miznon has a menu that I am always in the mood for. Unfortunately, on the day that I went, they were out of the famous whole cauliflower. We did enjoy our sandwiches-- the ribeye minute steak and the intimate stew. Both were flavorful and well spiced. Next time I'd ask them to go a little lighter on the tahini, as the sauce made the bottom of the sandwich a little too wet. The bread is fantastic so you'll want to savor every bite. Service was super friendly and tried to assist with dietary questions. Miznon has regular tables and cool Scandinavian step seating for smaller groups and solo diners. It's hard to know which spots are worth visiting in food halls like Chelsea Market. I would recommend Miznon.

I decided to check out Chelsea Market for lunch and my colleague gave different suggestions such as Israeli street food. I wanted something casual and different so I was down. They claimed to have fresh ingredients and locations globally. It's located on the main concourse. There was so many items that I wanted to order from the menu, but I got the pita entree. There's a vegetarian and non-vegetarian section. I got the Intimate Stew (slow cooked beef & roots) with tahini and spicy green peppers. It was pretty good. I recommend it and the place.

Miznon@Chelsea Market 75 9th. Ave. New York, NY 10011 Folded Cheeseburger in Pita This is an interesting spin on an American cheeseburger served in pita bread with different seasonings. The only minor flaw is the white sauce was not spread evenly resulting in a huge glob at the bottom of the pita.

First time trying a Miznon outside Israel , and it was pretty good ! We decided to get a pita to share as we had plans for a big dinner so decided to go for the folded cheeseburger . It was very good and juicy and the pita bread was excellent as well . Just what we needed to share for a lighter lunch We will go back for other items!

They should get five stars for their service at least. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was tasty especially the lamb kabob gyro. It's was busy but food came out quickly. Definitely worth a try if you are in Chelsea market.

I have been wanting to try Miznon for a very long time and so glad I finally got to try it. I got the pita with rotisserie chicken and green beans. The pita was so soft and chicken filled with spices. I do wish there was more tahini or sauce in the pita but I was able to ask for extra on the side. The green beans are served cold but were delicious and perfectly spiced. We got the large bag which was way too many for only 2 people!

This was by far one of the best falafel pitas I have had in NYC! The pita was incredible and so tasty! The falafel was made fresh and also packed with flavors! It was taking a little longer which wasn't an issue, but they gave us a free bag of green beans while we were waiting. The inside is amazing with tons of seating throughout the market. 100% will be coming back again!

You cannot say you've been to NY if you didn't stop at Miznon for a pita sammy. This is quite possibly my #1. The spices and textures of the meat plus the sauce are simple yet work so incredibly well together. Chef Eyal is a legend who definitely knows how to make the taste buds dance. Oh and that pita--i don't know how they make it but it's the softest fluffiest and most delicate bread my teeth has ever sunk into. Now the price may be steep for the size but I think it's totally worth it again and again.

Shukette Cherries was new on the menu and had oomph with a tangy marinade of lime, cilantro and serrano chili. When Vladimir came to ask if I wanted dessert, I requested a wheelbarrow instead. He giggled. My desire is to eat at Shukette once a month and so far it has been a dream come true. This small, intimate, and bustling Palestinian spot in Chelsea delivers in a big way. Yes, it is crowded, but that only adds to the vibrant, cozy atmosphere of this charming location. The food, however, is the real star--everything was excellent. We ordered a spread of appetizers to share: the Hummus, creamy Baba Ganoush, flavorful Muhammara, and the spicy Chili and Garlic Shrimp were standouts, along with the unique Cauliflower Fritters and Majaddara Croquette. For the main course, the Musakhan (sumac chicken) was succulent and aromatic, while the Makloubeh and rice were perfectly executed comfort food. We ended the night with Cheesecake and a rich Flourless Chocolate Cake, both of which were fantastic. While the service was a bit spotty and the staff seemed overwhelmed at times, the quality of the food and the warm, authentic atmosphere made it a night to remember. The service was friendly and gave good recommendations to those who wanted them, knowing the menu well as well as allergens. In general, I would recommend the mezze/small plates much more than the entrees. To drink, I had a Matos, with rye, rosemary Aperol, amaro Noveis, and lemon for $18. It was a creative and tasty cocktail with both the Noveis and rosemary adding a unique herbal flavor. Someone else enjoyed a mocktail, the $10 Yarok with cucumber, fresh ginger, and lime. From the mezzes I sampled, the best was the Artichoke for $17, with pistachio labneh, preserved lemon relish, and dukkah. The portion was large, and the artichokes were well-cooked with a soft texture. Otherwise, there was some nuttiness from the labneh and dukkah, and some sourness from the relish. I would recommend it heavily. Also very tasty was the $19 Cauliflower with chermoula, scallion, pickled raisins, and almonds. I much prefer spots that roast cauliflower enough to burn it slightly but not too much, and they did it perfectly here. Otherwise, there was a mild sourness from the chermoula, while the rest of the ingredients added crunch and a bit of sweetness. The Hummus for $17, with green schug, chickpeas, and pita, was good. It was smooth and silky, but I wish the tahina flavor were a bit stronger. I liked the addition of the schug, which added an herbal heat to it. The worst of the mezze and the worst dish overall were the Yemenite Soup Dumplings with beef and hilbeh for $19. This came with four large pieces, with the dumplings more resembling a Georgian khinkali in terms of thickness, which made them very doughy. While the soup was tasty, there wasn't that much of it. I wouldn't recommend this at all. My main dish was the alright $34 Pappardelle with mushrooms, sweet onion tahini, and bread crumbs. The pasta was a bit soft for my liking, and I found it a bit too sweet overall. The mushrooms had some good earthiness, but I wouldn't recommend this much. I also wouldn't recommend the Tahdig Rice, with saffron, pistachio, and barberries. The side is $16 and is listed for two, which is accurate based on size, but the flavor is lacking. The Persian rice side had a mix of textures, with some of it having the trademark crispiness, but there weren't that many toppings. Unless you're getting a dish with a sauce, I wouldn't bother. I tried a bit of the much better Skirt Steak for $38, with adobo dry rub, leek puree, mashwi salad, and potato chip. This dish had a fun presentation, and the skirt steak was perfectly cooked medium rare with a nicely seasoned rub. The chip was a fun concept and added a bit of crunch. In terms of others, someone else enjoyed the $37 Brick Chicken For dessert, some people ordered the Malawah Churros and the Almond Malabi. Both were $14 and were enjoyed. I was pretty full at that point, so I didn't have a bite of the former, while the latter had a pleasant rosewater flavor. They both seemed decent with a good enough portion. If I had the artichoke and steak, I'd probably give this spot a 5. However, it's too inconsistent with a couple of dishes that both the group and I disliked.

It has been quite some time since I've had Mamoun's so while I was wandering around Hoboken I was delighted to come across a location on Washington! Yes, I know it's been here for quite some time, but I'm kind of new to hanging out in Hoboken so this was a wonderful surprise for me. The original Mamoun's is a hole in the wall that can barely fit 4-5 people inside standing. In heavy contrast, this location is on a corner with plenty of room. The interior leans heavily towards wood and dark colors, giving it a slightly classic and industrial look at the same time. The wall along the right is lined with old photos of the West Village (including the legendary Cafe Wha-?). It is a wonderful reminder of where this chain originated and brought back memories of my younger days working in the Village. In heavy contrast to the original Mamoun's, you go up to an ordering kiosk and you pay with your card. The menu is well designed and I was delighted to see that you could mix drinks if you'd like and you can order different sizes of sauces (at an added cost of course). I wanted the basics so I ordered a shwarma, falafel and unsweetened iced tea. The food was prepared very quickly. At the pickup area there are napkins and cutlery. They apparently package everything as if it was to go, so no trays or anything here. They handed me my order and I sat down to eat. I carefully unwrapped the shwarma and man...it was like going back in time. There was a pita stuffed completely with a salad and shwarma meat (I went with lamb for that classic flavor). One difference from the original location is the lack of a hot pepper put on top of the shwarma. That used to be a nice touch they did back in the day, but to be honest, I have no idea if the Village location does this anymore. Folks, the shwarma was absolutely *delicious* and beautifully cooked. I recommend using the foil to keep the structural integrity of the sandwich together (though by the bottom it will just start falling apart). I also purchased a side order of falafel and they were perfect. Crispy on the outside, light chew on the inside and fresh! It's not hard to find falafel, but finding *good* falafel is tough so I was super happy with this side. Mamoun's is wonderful. It is a culinary blast from the past in a modern setting. I highly recommend it!
