Gigi's Cafe and Restaurant Gigi's was so cute and delightful. I had a quick grab and go bacon, ham, egg and cheese sandwich and it was so tasty and so cheap. I absolutely will be stopping here again if in the area and in a hurry! Cheers!

Rosticeria da Gigi has really come through during the pandemic! Ordered delivery from here many times. I'm addicted to their broiled salmon (skin on, delicious!!! Always cooked perfect, always flavorful and juicy). I get it with their broccoli rabe and mushroom salad. Mushrooms are always cold and fresh. The broccoli rabe is hot, garlicky, and cooked perfect. Best!!! I will continue to order it!! Highly recommend. My boyfriend gets the Caesar salad. Sometimes with grilled chicken. The Caesar salad is the best here!! So fresh, so crunchy, so delicious. Best dressing. Perfect size, and fresh shaved parm! Can't beat it. Spaghetti and meatballs were good too! He likes them. Nice flavor. The quiche was ok, wouldn't get it again. Better at Panera bread. The side sausage is kielbasa and it's delicious too!

Grabbed a chicken salad sando Friday afternoon - called ahead as I was on my way home from running errands. Sandwich was ready almost immediately which was awesome. The young girl working was so nice as well- when I asked her which type of bread are most popular she recommended having it on rye bread toasted. It was so good! Paid about $9 which also includes LTO- totally worth it! Would recommend!

We went two weekends in a row both Saturday and Sunday to try several recommended items. I was very happy with our different selections of both breakfast and lunch items. We took a container of chicken salad home ( lives up to the hype, I really liked it) I wanted to be able to try other hot dishes at the actual place. You can't order eggs to go and expect them to be perfect so you have eggs there and you won't be disappointed. The croque madame was delicious as was the omelette Gigi. We tried a cheese burger and fries which were terrific! The fries were not soggy like some reviews implied but again, fries don't travel well, eat in! The roll exceptionally fresh and burger temp was perfect. I also tried the turkey club on multi grain, tasted great but a little light on the turkey for me. We took home desserts ton enjoy later when we were not so full. I am going to be very honest about these... we bought 2 banana puddings based on what the reviews said. I was disappointed with the consistency. One container was perfectly creamy and delicious but one had almost no marscapone or cream. It was very dry and I didn't enjoy it. The tiramisu we got was again very light on cream or marscapone. Tiramisu has to have a lot of cream the lady fingers were very dry not soaked. The cheescake was delicious. to be honest I would try each dessert again to see if it was a fluke on being so dry.As I mentioned one of the banana puddings was perfectly delicious. The server 3 out of 4 times was Ashley and she gets 5 stars from us for sure. Cheerful, sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. Food came quick and she was very attentive. Place is very small som it is not easy in dead of winter ton get table but we did each time. 10:30 has been the sweet spot for us. Overall we will keep going back and try a few more things or would reorder our favorites.

I have been following Rosticeria Da Gigi, AKA: Gigis, on Instagram...and saw that they have superior chicken salad among many other items...so I had to try it myself. When I entered, was greeted enthusiastically...order was taken, added lettuce, tomato, and onion and the sandwich cost less than $9.00 - WOW! The sandwich was huge - check out the photos - thank you! I highly recommend this cute place for breakfast or lunch...lots of choices...specials...and happy, professional, and kind employees = delicious food. THANKS again.

I always have a great meal anytime I order from Gigi's! Especially their chicken salad sandwich. They're super efficient when taking walk ins. Such a pleasant experience.

We came in around 1:30pm on Saturday and there was a line, but I didn't wait longer than 20 minutes. There's really no menu on site, so you can kind of just listen to what people are ordering and figure out what sounds good. Originally, I was going to get two sandwiches, but I saw the size of them and decided we really only needed one full one. I got the gravy on the size, which I definitely recommend if you're going to be eating it even just a little bit later. This worked well for us, as we had about a 20 minute drive home. The mozz was fantastic and so was the roast beef. I would come back just to order both by the pound. I didn't love the bread, so I think my next step would be to just buy all the ingredients myself and then provide my own bread at home. Service was very prompt and friendly.

I've lived in or been visiting NYC since the 60s and never noticed this place. I peeked in and saw that it looked authentic. I made a mental note to come back when dinner time rolled around. I looked over the menu and ordered their namesake, the Cappone: Capicola, Soppressata, Salami, Provolone, Arugula, Mozzarella, Hot Peppers. I asked which bread they recommended (seeded loaf) and went with that. It was an exemplary sandwich. Plus it was enough for 2 meals! I cannot recommend them high enough. 100 stars!

If you like italian sandwiches definitely check this place out. I think after trying several italian sandwich spots I don't think it's necessarily for me but the meatball sub was tasty and definitely worth the money. It's a small mom and pop shop vibe inside and you can order ahead which is great because sometimes the line gets really long especially on the weekends. The people were nice. It's close to a park so you can eat outside with a coffee and enjoy a quick lunch. It's nice to have a place that is a little more no-frills in the west village and you can pick it up on a lazy weekend, in the middle of a workday, etc.

I had been saying for days that I was craving a good Italian deli sandwich, and my partner came across Vito's & Son Italian Deli in Hoboken. Well, it does not get much more authentic than this. What an experience. You know how some Italian restaurants say they make you feel like family? At Vito's, we actually felt it the moment we walked in. The welcome was warm, genuine, and immediate -- the kind of hospitality that cannot be faked. As we browsed the extensive deli menu, I had to ask what "mutz" meant. I am from Chicago, where we usually say "mozz," so this was my first time seeing it written in what I can only call New Jersey-ian. Without hesitation, they gave us a sample of their fresh, in-house-made mozzarella, and it was absolute perfection -- soft, fresh, creamy, and exactly what fresh mozzarella should be. We took several subs to go, and every single one was delicious. I had The Vito's, which was incredibly satisfying -- packed with that classic Italian deli flavor and everything I had been craving in a sub, and then some. My partner had The Sophia Loren, which was also full of flavor and definitely worth ordering again. My mom had what I ordered as a custom Caprese sandwich since I could not find it on the extensive menu -- mutz, fresh basil, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette, and herbs. It was so fresh, simple, and delicious. We also tried the arancini. The traditional one brought back memories of what used to be some of the best arancini in Chicago at Monastero's, which sadly is no longer around. That is not a comparison I make lightly. The cheese arancini was also wonderful, and the sauce was divine. Personal preference: I could have used just a touch more salt in the sauce, but the flavor was still excellent. Of course, we could not leave without dessert. The cannoli had the perfect balance of softness and crunch, and the filling was delicious. And naturally, we had to take home a pound of that fresh mutz. When we got home, we turned the leftovers into the perfect little Italian deli dinner. We thinly sliced the remaining halves of the subs, added fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette, and wine. It became a charcuterie-style dinner that felt like the perfect ending to the trip. Taking a detour through Hoboken was absolutely worth it. Some Italian restaurants claim to treat you like family, but at Vito's & Son, we truly felt it. We are already planning another stop on our next trip because we still need to try the homemade freezer dishes -- and, of course, the homemade tiramisu. If you have not been to Vito's & Son Italian Deli, do yourself a favor and go. Authentic, welcoming, delicious, and completely worth the detour.
