After a really frustrating experience with another company (they gave me a 7-day pickup window, showed up in a pickup with MAGA stickers, and still left junk behind!), I was dreading dealing with my moving mess again. As I fixed up my old house, I kept accumulating more junk--plus furniture no one would take off my hands. I started calling around, but most places either didn't answer, never called back, or quoted me outrageous prices ($1,800-$2,500+). I was about ready to give up when I finally called Big River. From the very first call, Steve was incredible--he answered immediately, gave me a clear all-inclusive quote ($550 for a whole truck), and was able to come out the very next day. He arrived exactly on time at the start of his 30-minute window, with a helper who was just as kind and professional. They worked lightning fast, sorted items responsibly (separating hazardous materials, metal, wood, etc.), and fit as much as possible into the truck. We ended up needing two trips, but they came right back, reloaded in record time, and still cost only a fraction of what the big national companies wanted. Steve and his team were polite, efficient, and truly went above and beyond. If I could shout their name from the rooftops, I would. Hopefully I'll never have that much junk again--but if I do, I'll be calling Big River without hesitation. There was not misunderstanding, it was a poor business woman trying to get more money from me. Instead She stole it!!!

Was at the top end of his estimate due to the weight of my materials, but even then was still the best rate that I was quoted (and it was heavy, so was totally expecting to pay the upper end of the estimate). Does this guy really need another 5-star review?…read more OK. The first thing I would like to mention is that Alex is the king of communication. I contacted him here through Yelp. He replied within 30 minutes and he came over the next day to give me a bid on doing the work and set up a time. On pick-up day he couldn't make it; I am pretty sure he simply over-booked himself, but again, he was very good about communication and was also accommodating about it. Since I wasn't in a rush we simply set a new time. Pick-up day went smoothly. He came with a guy named Simon and they moved stuff out pretty quickly. At one point I also had a convo with Alex. He is very fun to talk to -has an engaging personality. But oh oops!--between the time we made the first date, and pick-up day, I added a bunch of stuff to my pile and he couldn't fit it all in! He said he would go to the dump and that Simon would return the following morning to get the remaining things. And now comes the payment part, right? Because many of us have learned from experience that it often backfires on us when we go on ahead and pay for a job that isn't finished. I decided to take him at his word -I made the splurge and paid him for the whole job. So. Did Simon return the next morning as promised? There has been NO CARPET CLEANING service provided. On or about 12/2/25 I spoke with Tabatha at WaterBear, explaining that I had some wine stains on a small area of carpet. I asked if that was something her company could help with. She said she would send someone to take a look. A gentleman, who introduced himself as the owner of the company, came to my home and looked at the stains. He said he thought the carpet should be steam cleaned, but his big truck was out for repair and he would have Tabatha call and set up an appointment with me to get the work done. Tabatha never called. A couple days later I called the company back and asked if there was a problem, explaining my situation. The receptionist apologized and said she'd have someone get back to me. No one has called me or been in touch. And today I get this invoice. I am pretty grossed out at the level of customer service, or lack thereof. Just to be clear, this invoice will not be paid. There was no service provided, no phone call to set something up, and no follow up by your company. I will find someone else to do the work.

Timothy was highly communicative and provided excellent services at amazing value. He thoroughly cleaned the appliances, floors, baseboards, window sills and cupboards in a timely manner. The walkthrough with my landlords went extremely well and they were very impressed with the level of cleanliness. Timothy's impeccable job ensured that I received my full security deposit and I can't thank him enough for a job well done. I certainly recommend him for all of your cleaning needs!

We had a fire in our yard and had quite a bit of debris that needed to be hauled. In addition to yard waste and other moving trash. Mike & Dad's saved MY day and my wallet.
