The work crew that came were awesome and the poor guys had a hell of a time. Full disclosure, our yard is large but old, with old pipes and a pool as old as the house but no blue prints of where those pipes are. During construction they inadvertently hit the pipes that I had no idea were located, and which they warned me ahead of time could happen. They worked through it all, came up with options and solutions, and were polite and energetic in the execution of it. I cannot say enough about those guys and I really appreciated their work. Some things just cannot be helped, but it's how a company and it's crew react - and they were all awesome. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again at some point in time. Update: I was so pleased with the back fence that I talked…read moremy neighbor into doing our shared side fence with Froggy Fence. Completely different experience. It took weeks to complete and was completely sub standard. The fence between our yards was down for over a week and another neighbor had to bring over a construction fence to prevent my blind dog from falling in the neighbors pool. Rather than a two sided fence, my neighbor opted to just have my side finished and she was good with the unfinished back side. I asked Chris to make sure all boards were touching so I didn't have big gaps between the boards. It actually looks like he used a spacer and the boards aren't even dry yet so it will be worse. There's a 2 x 6 kick board at the bottom and a big gap between the fence boards and the kick board. Numerous boards split and cracked when he put them up and he just went ahead and stained over them. Neither of the gates are level. Two of the post holes were not filled all the way with cement. I made the mistake of paying Chris before noticing all the problems. I repeatedly called and sent texts that went ignored for weeks. Finally I threatened to file a complaint with the BBB, take him to court and leave bad reviews. Only then did he come out and fill the post holes, replace the cracked boards, and finish staining the top rail. Everytime I look at my $7K fence (my side only for 100') I get mad. The gaps look really bad and as a former woodworker, the unlevel gates drive me nuts. I paid what I consider a premium price for quality work, but this time the quality workmanship just was not there. The first fence was built predominantly by his employee Edgar, who apparently no longer works there.

I needed a section of fence replaced with a barn door style double swing gate after the section was…read moreremoved to allow some heavy equipment through. I also had The Fence Maintenance company build me an L shaped fence extension to place my garbage cans behind. The owner Anish responded very quickly and came to my house to see what he needed to give me a quote. I received a fair quote for the quality I was looking for and within a couple of days, he and his foreman Leo, and Leo's helper Luis showed up bright and early ready to get started. I had some underground work done previously in the gate area, a french drain, and it ran under the same location the drop pins for the gate would be placed. I was more than a little concerned about how they would be able to engineer a proper anchor point and not mess up the new drainage system in the process. I had my own idea and showed Anish what I had come up with but he told me they had a plan to use cement to anchor the pipes for the rods and that satisfied my concerns. I had a similar issue with an existing drain (and a defunct caped sprinkler line I had forgotten about) that had to be avoided for the posts on the L shaped extension. Leo is amazing, he is a perfectionist's perfectionist, and I quickly saw that trait in him once he got started. I really felt at ease after seeing how he had hand dug out all the obstacles and he showed me where they were, and of course they were pretty much exactly where anyone would have chosen to sink a fence post. Luckily because of how careful Leo was in exploring his dig zones he avoided doing any damage to my existing infrastructure. One thing that really caught my eye about Leo was, how he constantly pulled out his little level to check and double check for plumb and level, every step of the way. I will come right out and admit it, I also am a perfectionist! And because of this, I have always done all my own work, on everything, my entire life, but my age has made that impossible recently. I totally trusted Leo from the begining after seeing him and Luis work, they both are perfectionists, slow and methodical, you know you are in good hands when you see the foreman constantly checking things with his level. I stopped hovering over them the rest of the day. That says A Lot! Trust me, you can trust The Fence Maintenance Co with your project too.
