I personally am not a big broadway goer and have fallen asleep in shows before. But this one was pretty good. The performers were fantastic. The actors who portrayed MJ had great voices and really did the KOP justice. The dancing made me want to practice my MJ moves when I get home. The story and song choices were well put together. We caught the matinee and bought our tickets at the tkts booth by 47th and broadway for a deep discount an hour before the show. In fact, the price dropped as we were at the window before buying tickets. Probably Lu saved at least $100 per ticket.

My family and I brought our mother here as a surprise birthday gift! She has always been an MJ fan! I am always looking to see broadway shows whenever I have the chance! This show was spectacular! It hit on so many levels and the dances were awesome! Well worth it!

Amazing. Magical. This is one of the most wonderful shows I've seen. Was so emotional and I really enjoyed every single song, the choreography and the stage. 100% recommended!

High energy with an amazing cast , especially the lead as an adult MJ. Even the backup singers and dancers. Great songs but the story line was just fair.

I am ashamed to admit that I originally had no interest in seeing MJ. However one of the besties wanted to see to it for her birthday. I managed to snag tickets, admittedly a little begrudgingly, but that's what friends do for each other. It was a cold Wednesday night in January, we found parking and grabbed some grub before the show. We then headed over and were a few minutes behind as we lost sight of the time. We were ushered in and to our seats right away. We immediately jumped into the show and were captivated. Needless to say I loved it! I don't want to give anything away but they way the show it setup and the format of the story telling really appealed to me. I truly felt, albeit incorrectly, that MJ would just be another impersonator situation. If you've ever been to any restore or even down 42nd street you have seen your fair share of Michael Jackson enthusiasts/impersonators. My assumption was I have no interest in seeing that on Broadway. Happy to say I was wrong. Great Show! Just A Note: Moonwalk your butt to go see MJ the Musical if you haven't already. It is totally worth it and you will leave wanting to see it again. I Did!

Brilliant show! The songs we all know and love so much, the dance moves and the sad story line made the show a must see.

This is a must see show! I loved so many things about it. There were several actors playing Michael through young child teen years and finally an adult all were outstanding . Of course, the music and dancing were the highlights. I love the set, and my favorite part of the show was the interpretation of thriller the second time! I love this show so much. I actually purchased a signed poster with benefits and proceeds. Going to the AIDS foundation. I will definitely be seeing this again when I travel to New York !

This is a must see Broadway show!!! My family and I came to see the Wednesday matinee show at 2pm. The show had sold out tickets so the line entering was very long but it also moved quickly. Soon everyone were directed and seated. The restroom is downstairs. Concession stand and MJ souvenirs can also be purchased downstairs. The show began promptly and soon we were entertained in awe by the entire cast and especially the understudy that played MJ. Wow, talk about the singing, dancing, acting, his movements and looks - makes me feel like MJ is alive and in front of me. We sat in orchestra seats and 3rd row from the stage. It was definitely well worth the purchase of these more expensive seats and be at the front. You just see better eye leveled on the dancers footwork and of course moonwalks! Highly recommend this show!

    Wow!

The MJ Musical is definitely a MUST SEE. It highlights the ups and downs of Michael's life and the show is spectacular. The Neil Simon Theater is beautiful. An elegant chandelier adorns the ceiling and the entire playhouse is pristine. The dancing is on another level. What these dancers do will leave you in awe and the singing is Tony Award material. The sound system is INCREDIBLE. The speaker system stares at you, after you are seated, as if it's saying, "buckle up, cause you're in for a wild ride." You will be hit with walls of sound, that I haven't experienced before. It was great seeing the audience getting into the popular songs and cheering during his epic moments. Please, go see this magnificent musical. You will leave satisfied and will share the same review, no doubt.

I really enjoyed this Musical! Myles Frost is the lead Actor who plays adult MJ and he definitely did his thing! He is a huge talent and emulates MJ extremely well, from the singing, to the dancing and mannerisms! I loved the stage set designs, costumes and choreography as well! Especially for the Thriller performance! The entire cast is talented and has a very strong stage presence that naturally commands your attention. You won't be bored for 1 second. There are some scenes that touched on aspects of MJs childhood and troubled relationship with his father, in addition to the controversies. But they were not the narrative of the musical thankfully. If you're an 80s baby and / or a MJ fan, you will appreciate this musical. Just buy your tickets, thank me later and be prepared for some head nodding to Smooth Criminal, Thriller and more..! It's LIT!!

Such an amazing show!!!! Went to NY for a girls trip and this definitely had to be on the list. From the stage set to the actors, costumes, lighting effects everything was perfect. What an amazing performance. Loved that the story of Michael Jackson was told in such a unique way while still including his music. Loved that i was able to live in the moment and enjoy the show because of the cellphone policy that was in place no recording or pictures were allowed during the performance. This was a show perfect for the whole family even for those that don't really like musicals too much because it was just perfect.

Reminded me of growing up! Awesome show. The singers were on point. A must see. If you go day of the show, ask for what's available the day of performance. I go orchestra seat row F at half price!!!! 99.00

I can write many reasons to see Hamilton, the Broadway musical…read more 1. The lyrics resonates depth with meaning. 2. The music is a blend that draws heavily of hip-hop, rap, R&B, soul, pop, and traditional Broadway show tunes. Modernized to 2015 era. Theatre patrons will not fall asleep. Theatre patrons will not be bored. Your ticket price paid is worth the theatrical experience. 3. It is based on the biography Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States who was an instrumental supporter of the U.S. Constitution who fought alongside President George Washington in the Revolutionary War. His work laid the foundation of America whose face is worthy to be depicted on the U.S. $10.00 bill. 4. It depicts history of Hamilton's journey beginning as a Caribbean immigrant rising to America's first Secretary of the Treasury. It is deeply rooted in New York City history. It depicts American history of the opposition fight for independence and creation Independence of United States of America. He is buried in Trinity Church, Financial District, Lower Manhattan, NYC. It also narrates Aaron Burr's rivalry and jealously Hamilton's strong ambition, brilliance, and determination to rise. "Hamilton wrote the other 51!" Running time: about 2 hours and 45 minutes including a 15 minute intermission. I went to the room where it happens. I write this review like I was running out of time. Yesterday is a memory. Today is an opportunity. Tomorrow is not promised. Non-stop. Keep writing! I tell my story of my experience. It was exciting, lively and upbeat which does takes you back in time of Revolutionary America in 18th century period clothing with modern language and modern music. Ticket prices are highly extortionate! Tickets starts $127.00 to $155.00 for upper balcony or standard face-value seats. My rear orchestra center ticket was an astonishing extortionate $228.00! Hamilton, the Broadway musical makes use of the Richard Rodgers Theatre's double-nested rotating stage (turntables) prominently to create a dynamic, continuous movement and cinematic flow. I wish I saw the 2015 original cast Alexander Hamilton (Lin-Manuel Miranda) and Aaron Burr (Leslie Odom Jr.). Wait for it. Forward, eleven (11) years later I am now seeing it in 2026. I now have another Playbill and Broadway show ticket to add to my growing Playbill collection. Casting is non-white actors as the Founding Fathers of the United States and other historical figures for inclusion and equality. As per Lin-Manuel Miranda, songwriter, actor, and producer who described Hamilton: "America then, as told by America now." There is no traditional stage curtain for this Broadway show, but it did start and end on time - on point. There are 34 musical numbers total (17 musical numbers in each Act). The narrative is almost entirely sung and rapped through, thus, the numbers flow directly into each other without the traditional pause to segue in-between numbers. There is very little dialogue for spoken word as I would like a mix. There are occasional expletive explicit laden lyrical lines/ verses depicting strong explicit language "goddamnit." This includes uncensored F-word during the indiscretion of Hamilton's affair. "Cabinet Battle #1" & "Cabinet Battle #2" feature insults and harsher colloquial terms as "pain in the ass" and "shit." There are other numbers where expletive explicit laden lyrical embedded are "bastard" and "whore." Surely, my teddy bears speak more eloquently than thee! The costumes replicate 18th century Revolutionary era including U.S. founding fathers in white linen or lace cravats. My predilection for Hamilton musical numbers are: Satisfied Wait For It That Would Be Enough Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story Live with intention. My passions and interests entice me to pursue more to look around. "When everyone who loves me has died" this I can absolutely relate. "Death does not discriminate. It takes and it takes and it takes. I am the one thing in life I can control. I am an original." These versus resonate depth for meaning. Rise Up!

I have been a Harry Potter fan since the early 2000s when the first book by J.K. Rowling was released. I absolutely refused to see a double-day / two-part play show format 5+ hours to be left hanging and return another day/time as it was originally produced, but this has changed which is my reason to see it years later in 2026. This Broadway play does not play John Williams' film score "Hedwig's Theme" as I had desirable hoped. I do believe in magic. I saw Tom Felton perform his originated role as Draco Malfoy from the film franchise. As per "New York Theatre Guide" Tom Felton reprise his role as Draco Malfoy now through January 3, 2027! Run time: 2 hours and 55 minutes, with one intermission. One word: WOW! The narrative was at first somewhat difficult to follow especially the Time-Turner Effect scenes of what exactly did Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy changed or prevent from occurring? The set design, staging for quickly moving set, props by swirling long robes without revealing stage hands' faces, costumes are great and resonantly brought the viewer into J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter world as an adult nineteen (19) years after J.K. Rowling's final novel, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" of Harry, Ron and Hermione. The special effects including character swap Polyjuice Potion, including Dementors menacingly floating near the audience and aerialist stunts in duels were amazing. I particularly like the special effects from Time-Turner for use of projection mapping high-powered projectors cast warping, liquid-like visual distortions; acoustic design low-frequency sound waves and the entire set appear to bend, stretch, and ripple like a disturbed puddle. The narrative does include and bring back old characters as the cruel villain, apathetic Dolores Umbridge and the wailing angst Moaning Myrtle and Cedric Diggory. Moaning Myrtle's costume was not true to the book as her hair is not in pigtails and she is not wearing the Hogwarts uniform. Draco Malfoy's iconic film line: "Scared, Potter?" and Harry Potter's response "you wish" are spoken resonate an echo in this Broadway play from the film. Yes, there is contained fire, and water tank on the stage including Dementors float hovering over the audience.

Mon had the better guest lists (at least in our opinion) so we gave up the other tix. It's a process to get in, so nothing too surprising. This was a fine experience. I'm not really a Fallon fan but the experience of watching a 'live to…read moretape' recording was pretty interested. We didn't have tickets, so we went to the gift shop at 30 rock through the 6th ave entrance to score some stand-by tickets. We arrived what I would call late, at about 11am. If you want to get these stand-by tickets I'd recommend arriving as close to 8am as you can, because every ticket is numbered and they can only fit so many people into the studio (they will always try to fill it). If I recall correctly the tickets said to come back to 30 rock at 3:15 but note - if you arrive a bit later, say 3:30, it won't effect your chances of getting in - the most you can do to increase your chances to see a show that day by walking in is to get there at 8am when they first start giving out the numbered stand-by tickets. Also, while they say you cant bring in bags, I had a smaller sized north face backpack and my friend had a large plastic bag and a small purse. If your number gets you in to see the show that day, you will pass through security like at an airport. Everything is extremely orderly and organized, the only stressful part is 'am I going to get in to see the show or did I just spend an hour and a half of my day for nothing.' My friend and I just got in under the wire, with the guy behind us being the very last person to stand-by for this day's show (there were about 56 stand-by visitors accepted that day). You will have an opportunity to use a bathroom before you sit for the filming, so don't be concerned about that. If you're a fan of TV or of Fallon you might prepare a question or two to ask him, he took a number of questions from the audience. The funniest one was 'are you going to use that entire bit you just did' because Jimmy and Drew Brees spitting pumpkin seeds went on far, far, FAR too long, about 3? minutes, which was about 2:45 longer than it needed to be. Jimmy was quick with the 'no, that's going to be edited down.'

I paid full price through American Express but when my husband came to join me a week later, we were able to get tickets at the TKS booth in Times Square for $75 a piece ( which was more than half off what I paid the first time!) and for both shows I was able to sit center orchestra 6 rows back. Totally enjoyable both times. The music was great and the actors were even better. I highly recommend this show. If you're in NYC between 1/18 - 2/13/22 check out NYC Broadway Week -they're offering 2 for 1 tickets on some great shows and this is one of them.

About 38 planes and a total of 6,000 passengers from all over the world landed in a small airport called Gander, Newfoundland in Canada. Gander is this tiny town in Canada so the locals there had to quickly figure out how to accommodate all these people. Come From Away tells such a warm - hearted and inspiring story about how the folks in Gander welcomed these travelers into their homes for about 4 days. It's such an emotional yet powerful play about humans helping humans from all over the world . Our lives gets interrupted, but at some point we must continue living no matter how tough things get. Highly recommend going to see this show when in NYC if you are a history kinda person. Had a great time blogging on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 7PM EST. I'd sat in Row J - Seat 116. FYI, no matter where you sit in the theater you'll have an incredible view of the stage. This play was about 100 minutes with no intermission.
