I can't believe it has taken me over two years to write this review. Mark may be a young man, but his tiling skills and professionalism are on the level of someone with decades of experience. My project was complicated. I had a newly remodeled bathroom with beautiful tile, cabinets, and glass shower doors. About a year after moving in, I discovered the shower had been leaking because the previous remodeler didn't properly hot‑mop before tiling. The leak went unnoticed for a year until water damage appeared through the walls and floor of the adjacent bedroom closet. I'm a general contractor myself and have done plenty of tile work, but for this job I wanted a true tile specialist. Mark came over promptly, assessed the situation, and explained exactly how he would approach the repair. The shower pan and floor tiles had to be removed, and he said he would try to save the wall tiles but could replace them if necessary. He and his helper did an outstanding job. They removed the faulty shower pan, took out the floor tiles and about 14 inches up the walls, poured a new concrete base, and had the hot mop done correctly. They water‑tested it to ensure there were no leaks, then returned to retile the entire pan and the dam using the exact matching tile. He even managed to salvage the existing wall tiles and tie everything in seamlessly. The final result was flawless--truly perfect. I was extremely impressed with both the workmanship and Mark's professionalism. I've been recommending him to my own clients for the past two years, and everyone has had nothing but great things to say. He deserves 10 stars. read more

We would never use anyone other than Joseph to do our tile work, and he has our highest recommendation. Years ago, when we added a second story, he and his late dad Margar, who began the company, were recommended by our architect. They did excellent work on multiple new bathrooms (which had a LOT of detailed small parts), fireplace hearths, porch and patio pavers, and more. Joseph carries on his dad's Old World craftmanship and couldn't be more pleasant or professional to deal with. Some years ago, a plumber broke our set-in oval sink. The replacement sink required removal of dozens of quarter-round tiles that had been custom cut. Joseph was able to save and/or recut all the pieces to restore it perfectly. Now we have a leaky shower that might need ripping out base tiles, and we're actually looking forward to his coming back to check out the repair: we trust him absolutely. MJK is hands down the best contractor we've ever used. read more

As my daughter was finally about to awaken from her residential building nightmare, firing both her general contractor and his tile persona non grata, I became involved because she was about to deliver her first child any day. I put out an SOS to Westside Tile of Beverly Hills, where Fred, the owner, highly recommended Joseph of MJK Tile. Joseph promptly responded and we previewed the botched master and guest bath of my daughter's dreams. Rather than me placing an anonymous call to the FBI that Jimmy Hoffa was buried in the shower walls and let the shoveling begin, Joseph assured me that he and his team would be able to transform it into the beautiful guest and master bath my daughter originally imagined. And transform it they did. In addition, they installed 3-dimensional tile on a 12' living room fireplace and an exquisite, complicated tile in her powder room. They were hired by a contractor we hired to redo our bathroom shower. We purchased 1' x 2' tiles and had a small shower. They did an extraordinary job by mitering all the edges and outside angles where tiles joined and for the insets in walls where shelves were built in.
