These guys talk waaaaaaaaaay too damn much! 3 barbers, around 4 people in front of my brother and almost 2 and a half hours later he's still sitting in his seat without his hair being done yet. The guy doing his hair stopped probably six times to look at his phone and to talk to a customer and the other barbers. I totally get making a cool hangout environment and the vibe is important, but holy hell y'all talk way too much. Some of us have things to do after a haircut so it'd be great if you didn't take a million hours to do one persons hair. Solid cut. Not the most welcoming environment. Explicit music dialed to 100, profane conversations amongst the barbers with no consideration for children present; not to mention one of them casually vapes which can pose a hazard for clients with respiratory problems. They are also frequently on their cell phones while cutting hair, which I find unprofessional. Recently MJs got a full staff and have 7 barbers most of the time but these new guys seriously spend an hour or more talking to each other rather than cutting someone's hair. Marcos Javi and Steve on the other hand have been cutting my hair for awhile and they get you in and out as soon as they can. MJS is a very professional facility, I've been coming here for a while now. It isn't easy to find a barbershop where you feel welcomed & comfortable. Here on a Sunday n looks like there are about six to eight people waiting with two barbers on the floor. These two barbers are yapping like two old ladies in a salon, repeatedly the barbers stop what theyre doing to talk to each other from across the room. One even stopped mid cut to take off his hat and contemplate a new hairstyle for himself in the mirror while the customer looked around frustrated. Maybe thier cuts are good, but there is a serious lack of professionalism and courtesy. Serio, youve got people in your chair, talk to them. You aint sheering sheep, you got humans with stories. I love the haircuts these guys give but the owner of the shop is a jerk. Not worth Your time. While you sit for hours these guys are on their phones texting people and stop doing the haircuts to chat with each other. They stop to watch tv and flip through channels. Went on Wednesday July 14th around 4ish. Waited at their shop for about an hour and a half. If you're not one of their homies/ regulars then be prepared to get skipped. One of the dudes would stop what he was doing to talk for a minute then go back to his job, working at a slower than normal pace. All their buddies waiting for haircuts sat in the empty barber chairs giving customers an unequal & unprofessional feeling. If some of the dudes waiting had appointments i would have appreciated the heads up. I ended up leaving without a haircut after literally wasting 2 hours of my day going out of my way to stop here. These guys waste too much time talking instead of cutting. One guy spent 20 minutes on his phone while he had a customer sitting in the chair. Very unprofessional barbers. They are good at their job which is cutting hair, but not so good at managing their time. I think they talk too much amongst themselves. They don't show any consideration for their clients time. Use to come here back when it opened and it was a really chill, cool environment. Only thing is that their barbers talk more than cut hair. I have no problem with conversations between co-workers but if it's making you stop cutting your clients hair and talk for a good 2-5 minutes straight then it's a problem. They had good cuts though and I would leave pretty happy. Long waits but not because it was busy. After a good year I came back because my other barber hasn't been around. Come to find that their cuts are $18 now. Ridiculous. Not coming back here for a cut. I've never seen a barbershop inflate their price that much. read more

I did like this place good vibe, cool people until one day I came in to get my hair fixed because my brother messed up on the cut and cut my upper head to short. While they were helping me out with the fade I got some pretty nasty clipper burns on the back of my head and the Barber didn't mentioned anything and still charged me full price. read more

These guys are really good at what they do. There's no denying they have skills. The only reason for the one star is that for the third time, the sign in sheets that everyone has to sign in on and that dictates first come first serve basis is not applicable to friends. I went there with enough time to cut my kids hair signed in, but then a couple of their friends showed up and they were put in the front of the line as a result my choice was to wait another hour and a half, which is what it took, and be late or leave and waste the time I had already been there. This is not cool. If they're a business they need to treat all customers the same. If they have friends that they feel they need to give special attention to, maybe they should come in before hours so they don't affect customers who have been waiting. I probably won't be going there for a while unless I absolutely have to. If they don't change their business model to a true first come first serve, they're going to find themselves out of business. Never shall i go here ever again, i just got the worst haircut. My line up is messed up, he left shaving gel around my line up, couldn't keep a conversation, and on top of that he sliced both sides of my neck up and i had to put alcohol on it my self.
