I reached out via yelp to book an appointment, and after a prolonged back-and-forth with this shop (not the shops fault, I blame Yelp) I got an appointment with Alex Sanchez. This was by far the best barber experience I have had thus far. I've bounced around a couple of different shops and none of them got my haircut the way that I wanted it. It shouldn't have been hard since all I get is a high fade, maybe a beard trim every now and then. Alex did a phenomenal job with my hair cut. He asked questions as we went along, and was even able to fix some mistakes made by past barbers. My wife and family loved my look for mother's day weekend, so I'll definitely be coming back to sit in his chair again. As for the vibe and overall esthetic of Off The Top, it's actually pretty awesome. Modern lighting, blacked out walls highliting the gold accents, professional ring lights at every station, and a custom epoxy floor that impressed this veteran Floorlayer. You can tell the clientele are loyal because while I was sitting in Alex's chair, several patrons said their hellos/goodbyes to him and several other barbers as they left, giving the impression they retain a lot of customers based on their work. In the end, Off The Top Barbershop will be my new go to place to get my hair cut, and Alex will be the one to do it. You should give them, and him, a try as well. read more

Full disclosure that this is not my normal barbershop. However, I've come here twice and both times I made an online appointment with Vic. I saw a couple reviews stating they walked in and weren't acknowledged, but that wasn't my personal experience. Both times I walked in and before I even sat down a barber would welcome me and ask if I had an appointment. Both times I said I had an appointment with Vic, and both times Vic said something along the lines of "almost finished here and I'll be right with you." I was helped on time, once about five minutes before my appointment time. I was happy with my cut. I don't like people touching me, so I hate getting my hair cut. Vic had some small talk and offered me a drink, which I appreciated. Another barber was cracking jokes which made the vibe of the place fun. Like I said, this isn't my normal barbershop, but if I need to go somewhere quick, Off The Top is definitely on my list. read more

I made an appointment with Alex Sanchez. One of the barbers there. He was very courteous and respectful. Attentive to the haircut I was requesting. This barbershop doesn't have a system or receptionist to check in clients. No reason someone should have to wait 40 minutes to see if someone will check them in!? Wasting our time when we had an appointment set up and then creating obviously fake reviews after that all of a sudden mention how good this barbershop is at checking in people... that's just embarrassing. Let's start this review off by saying....Thank you Victor!!!!! I was able to find you! This barber does AMAZING fades and in a timely manner!!!! Considering how kids get impatient he manages to always do flawless work and my 5 & 4 year sit well with him. I had taken my boys to another shop and I don't want to bash the other barber's but I'll just say I was very very upset with how their cuts turned out especially before back to school from Christmas vacation. I had to search for Victor and once I found him and shared with him the results of my kids haircuts & he said he was able to fix it!!!!!! The cuts were way better than before however I can't wait till my boys hair grows out and get them right from the start!!! Finding a good barber is tough out here. Since I found Victor I can now continue going to him instead of risking my kids getting butchered! You get what you pay for and this barber shop is definitely worth every penny of each dollar!!!! This was my first time coming here and I was actually terribly let down. I made an appointment with Aaron for 6:30pm, I get there at 6:28 and when I walk in I wasn't greeted nor was one word said to me. Keep in mind everyone was busy with customers so I just sat down and waited till someone got to me and asked if I was here for an appointment or a walk-in and I was asked NONE of that. I sat there from 6:28 to 7:15 and in that whole time no one said a word to me. They called up other customers who got there after me when I was clearly sitting and waiting for an opening still not simply asking me if I was there for a haircut. I'd recommend not coming here if your not homies with them or regular customers here, as that's who they seem to prioritize most rather then people who make appointments Hope you make some sort of check in for people who have appointments to avoid confusion again, first impressions are everything. read more
