Things very quickly went left as I had prescription medication in the car and my son is in the hospital with the driver then refusing to release my vehicle until the next morning, because he didn't "like my attitude". I hope Karma finds him, and FAST. After reading the reviews online and speaking with the police department DMV will be contacted BBB will be contacted and social media posts will be going up. Minor emergency totally solved in 20 minutes... and for $45…read more. Punctured rear tire on my truck, secondary to belt separation. Can't just plug that up unfortunately (at least not safely), so the tire absolutely had to be replaced. Fortunately, a decent used tire of the same size for $25 and $18 in labor got me rolling again. And believe me when I say Ron took his time to do this right... Ground off all the old crusty stuff on the rim with the angle grinder, new valve stem, proper balancing. He even said he'd keep its pair aside for me if I wanted to do the other rear tire later in the week. Makes sense - would provide me with an old spare, and at least have matching tires front and rear. I've driven by it perhaps 1000 times, and never thought to go there. They service larger commercial vehicles too, so they may have just founs themselves a new regular customer...

There were serious miscommunications at every stage…read more I drove two hours from MA for a 2017 Outback 3.6R listed as having four new tires, new front brakes, and the 120k service just performed. When none of it appeared on the service records, I asked, and was told the work was done in-house. When I arrived to test drive and put a deposit down, they had double-booked us with another couple trying to buy the same car. During the test drive, the salesman admitted the tires hadn't actually been installed yet -- their policy is to put the bare minimum street-legal tire on the car, giving you about 25k miles, unless you pay extra for better ones. There was also considerable confusion about out-of-state registration. One person told me I could transfer my plates (which is correct, and my insurance agent confirmed it). Another told me I would "go to jail" if I got in an accident on the way home. I paid $199 for a pre-purchase inspection at Quality Subaru -- the shop that had serviced this car nine times since 2023. Their records showed none of the advertised work had been done. Their inspection found all four tires worn to 5/32 and scalping, both front axles needing replacement, oil leaking from the front engine cover and both valve covers, transmission fluid leaking from the oil pump cover, a cracked drive belt, and an alignment issue. When the report came back, rather than the person I was emailing with or the person that was there when I test drove it calling, a third employee called to refund my deposit and tell me they knew I'd want my money back and would sell the car for more. My deposit was refunded. But the work described in the listing had not been performed, and I only found out because I paid for an independent inspection. Get a PPI and ask for the service history by VIN.
