The shocks on my 14-year-old washing machine finally went out, so I went on Nextdoor to ask for an appliance repair recommendation. Matt from MK Appliance responded that he could repair my washing machine for between $200-$300. I finally scheduled for him to come out and fix it yesterday. He got to my house before he said he would, finished replacing the shocks in less time than he said it would take and the price for parts/labor was extremely reasonable. I thought we had a leak in our washer. It turned out it was our drain pipes. Called MK to look at my elderly mother's oven, when they came out they said it would be $600 to fix the thermostat. I decided to call Kitchen Aid and they recommended The Appliance Doctor. They came out and discovered that the control had been inadvertently changed to Celsius rather than Fahrenheit ( I live out of state and sometimes need to rely on others to assist my parents.)Very Honest and just charged the cost of the service call. By 2pm, he had not shown up nor called. When I called the business, they said he had been called out of the country on an emergency. He had my number, so I don't understand why he never called to cancel or reschedule. He couldn't have had so many Tuesday appointments that it was impossible to call. Hamlet of MK Appliance Repair was professional, on time, courteous, knowledgeable, honest, and truly everything I could have asked for from an appliance repair person. We had real issues with our dishwasher because we put in tile after installing it, so we couldn't remove the dishwasher without tearing up the floor. The dishwasher stopped working for some reason. On top of that we had a leaking hose (connected under the washer). The other appliance repair folks whom I called said that they would need to tear up the floor to repair it. I called Hamlet. He came right over. He immediately noted the issue that tile was in the way but seemed to think he could fix it. He was right. He came back the very next day with supplies and within an hour, he had fixed the leaking hose (without removing the floor). He also diagnosed a faulty fuse and replaced it. It works great.
