If you only need to use this laundromat to dry clean wet clothing, the owner will loudly ask you to…read moreleave, even when all dryers are unused. Apparently this constitutes "Losing Money" in his eyes. He's correct, as he has now lost my business. In his eyes, it's only "25 cents" to dry (which is incorrect as I usually add more drying time to my loads), so offering just a dry is a net loss for him. I have purchased multiple packs of dryer sheets from here and put money on my laundry card, which is now wasted money. In fact I was going to load more onto it today before being accosted by the owner. My dryer is broken but my washer is fine, so I am not going to pay a whopping $5.50 to do a load of laundry here. Incredibly poor service model and atrocious customer relations. Stay away from this money hungry crook, and go up the road to Laurel Laundry on Laurel Ave in Northport.

Worker was irritated that she had to help figure this out as this was the second time happening and I said "you guys keep losing my brand new dryer sheets" and she was more concerned with me saying "you guys" then making me feel accommodated. She was rude. Here's a helpful idea: why don't you keep everyone's detergent and dryer sheets together and make note of their items on the ticket. This way when people go to pick up - it's a seamless experience. Will not go back.

DO NOT USE!! DO NOT USE!! 1 more time....DO NOT USE!!! I've been bringing my clothes every week to…read morethis cleaner for 2 years. I had a death in the family last week. On Wednesday I dropped off 3 shirts and 1 pants to be cleaned for the wake and funeral. I asked if it could be ready by Friday morning (wake was Friday afternoon 2 hours from where I live). When I went to pick up my clothes around 10am, he couldn't find them. He was looking for 15 minutes. Then actually had me go in the back to go through all the dry cleaning to see if I could find mine. It wasn't there. He told me to go buy the clothes and he would reimburse me. At this point I was so upset, I'm dealing with the loss of a loved one and now I had to rush to go buy clothes. I pulled myself together and went and bought 3 shirts and 1 pants, it came to $246. I went back to the cleaners this morning to get reimbursed, the first thing he tells me is my clothes never came back and they're gone. He said, he doesn't know what happenned to them. I said ok, well I bought new pants and 3 shirts like you told me to. When I showed him the receipt, he tells me he's not paying for one of the shirts because it was $80. One of the shirts he lost cost me $120. After arguing back and forth, he finally writes me a check for the total amount. Then proceeds to tell me I can't use him anymore. Literally banning me from his cleaners. LOL. HE lost MY clothes (let alone during a stressful time having lost a loved one...which he knew and never even said sorry for your loss) and now I'm not allowed to use him anymore. Well, believe me, I was NEVER going back there anyway. Now I'm writing this to try and save others from this AWFUL business. If you want to keep your clothes and don't want to deal with a CRAZY business owner, stay far, far away from D&C Commack Cleaners.

As of my typing this review, the place doesn't even have a featured photo on its Yelp listing, just…read morethat generic grayscale neighborhood image that's the equivalent of the Facebook/Instagram face silhouette. That tells you what you're dealing with over here. But look, I don't go to laundromats often. At my apartment not far from here, I didn't have access to a washer, so I HAD to come here. That was 25 years ago. The place hasn't changed much. That's not quite fair. Though I'm sure the floor and walls of the building are the same since JFK dropped by the long-gone Long Island Area up the street in 1960, the machines have been replaced and you manage your laundry from an app. No more shoving a sawbuck into the change machine for that clang of quarters that momentarily summons the thought that you've won a jackpot and you'll never have to spend another moment in a laundromat again. But then as you drag that lump of soiled wearables over to a machine, you return to reality and your fate. These days I don't need to visit a laundromat unless my own washer is busted, or my dryer is busted, or if I've got so much laundry I just want to get it done quickly, or if I'm cleaning one of those big fat blankets that throw off the balance of my top-loading washer and makes a pounding noise during the final spin that's like Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" only with a less-happier ending. But there are times I need a laundromat, and this place fits the bill. And by "fits" I mean "washes and dries" and by "bill" I mean "textiles." You could drop your crap off, and they'll wash and fold for you. If you're an aristocrat. Which I am not. So I'll just sit on one of the benches and stare into space or stare at my phone or stare at my laptop. At least they have Wi-Fi. The other option is to watch whatever happens to be streaming on the large television. One time it was "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." I started to wonder if any of the Kardashians had ever been to a laundromat, or know what a laundromat is, or have even seen a washer or dryer, or if they even wear anything more than once. What makes the location a little more ideal than the other laundromats in the area is that the strip mall contains a Five Guys and an Izumi hibachi restaurant. Because nothing kills time quicker than slamming a cheeseburger or pounding a mai tai. Or, perhaps, both. Curiously, according to the app, the establishment is called "Honey Bee Laundrette," which sounds kinda quaint, but I don't see any signage (or ambiance) that suggests the species Apis mellifera. In fact, the strip mall sign simply says LAUNDER CENTER, which sounds like something out of "Blade Runner" where your memory gets wiped. On the days I need to go to the laundromat, though, I could use a good memory wipe afterward. THREE STARS

the only reason I'm giving this a 3 star is cause people come in pairs and HOG the damn machines.
