I booked my appointment two days in advance with two specific nail technicians who were recommended to me, but when we arrived, they didn't honor our booking and assigned us to different technicians without telling us beforehand. I went with my niece, and while her nail tech did a beautiful job, mine was absolutely horrible. I booked because I fell in love with a nail design that was featured on Lux Nails & Spa's own website. I showed my nail lady the exact photo and asked for that design on both my nails and my toes. She told me she couldn't do it on my toes because the flower was thick or something of that nature, so I said that was fine and agreed to a French pedicure. I was under the impression I was still getting the design on my fingernails. We spent about two hours in the salon. It wasn't until my builder gel was already finished that she finally told me the girl who created the design didn't work there anymore. I even suggested changing the design to just half yellow half pink like the pinky on the picture and she said they didn't have that yellowmake it work, and that I should just do plain pink. At that point, I felt completely stuck. If I had been told before the service started that they couldn't recreate the design they advertise on their own website, I never would have agreed to any services. The workmanship was just as disappointing. I paid for the # 2 pedicure and she brought out the hot stones for 20 seconds on my leg. There was no cuticle care on my hands or feet, my heels were barely touched, the builder gel is thick and uneven, the French tips are sloppy, and there is polish on my skin. The photos speak for themselves. We spent $263.96 at this salon.

The tech didn't even cover the whole nail in polish. I went back in twice to get it fixed and each time I left worse than when I went it. I was told by a friend that this place was amazing and her nails do look good, I will give them that, but why did mine and it seems to every other woman of color, that I have talked to, received horrible service, horrible nails​, and swear never to go back. I am truley disgusting and appuled. Don't waste your time or money like I did only to be gaslighted, dismissed, and out $80.

The music was relaxing and not too loud, and they had great color options to choose from. Two of my nails had bubbles in them. I made her fix one of them, which she did with no attitude. She was very sweet. The guy who did my pedicure was also very sweet. Both very nice kids, which is actually the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. My pedicure was slightly better than my manicure, just because he didn't file my toenails, so they didn't have the chance to be as ragged as the nails on my hands. Crooked French tips again. There was a foot and leg massage involved in the whole thing. He used some aveda lotion I think, and it left my legs and feet very greasy. By the next day, the paint on my nails was already chipping. They used tons of different products...I don't know what all. All kinds of primers and stuff. For nothing. It was all just to give you a "spa" experience, and the end result that I came there for (painted nails) was totally shoddy. $24 for manicure, I don't know how much the pedicure was. Boooooo!
