The water heater didn't even work, yet somehow the inspector missed it--so I spent my first three weeks bonding with cold showers. The warranty company wouldn't cover it since the issue existed before I moved in. On top of that, I had to replace both toilets right away. Somehow they missed that too. Of course, when I contacted them, they denied any responsibility and took zero accountability for their mistakes. All in all, I would definitely not recommend them, especially if they're being suggested by your real estate agent.

Although our insurance person told me we wouldn't have to answer detailed questions about our home, when they finally sent us the final insurance paperwork to sign, it DID have those detailed questions that Doug warned us about. But the insurance people had already put the "right" answers in there. Instead of blindly signing off on a number of technical items I did not understand, I contacted Doug and he IMMEDIATELY helped me provide accurate responses to the questions. At that point the insurance specified a mitigation we would need to implement in order to maintain coverage. This was a HUGE relief to know that if we ever file a claim, insurance won't be able to say we falsified the paperwork at all, and they will have to pay our claim.
