I was really hoping to have the opportunity to post great reviews like the rest of you have for this company. However, after trying for three days to get in touch with somebody only to have a number without a voicemail or messaging capability I was about to give up. I thought I would take a chance and send a text message to the number hoping that it would be a cell phone. Sure enough it was. I was able to get in touch with Michele and we set an appointment for the following week to have him come to our house for a bid estimate. His only available time slot was at 7:30 in the morning so I pushed back a few appointments to make it happen. 730 came and went without any word from him. I sent him another text and told me that he had forgotten to write down the appointment but that he could come the next day at the same time. We made arrangements to be here and he did arrive to take a look at the job. We had a recent flood in our laundry room which had water going into our guest bedroom. After a week of dehumidifiers and fans to dry out the walls and baseboards it was time to have them replaced and repainted. It was three rooms worth of work and I would think that it would be a fairly simple yet profitable for him. While he was here, we expressed we want to move right away on getting this done as our downstairs portion of our house has been torn up for two weeks already. He told us that we would have the estimate by the end of the day or no later than the following day. It's been nine days since he came out to give an estimate and after receiving broken promise after broken promise we have decided to go with another contractor. read more

Had Michel & his team do a small job for us a couple years back and was happy with the work although the work space was a little messy afterwards. Given our success with him in the past I called him up to schedule an estimate and was told that he would be available mid-day and he would give me a call 1hr before to confirm the time. I stayed home just to make things easier and didn't hear from him mid-day. I also tried to call him twice with no answer and he doesn't have voicemail setup. Michel came out to quote the job, he started talking about how he had to silicone the ceiling corners so the paint lines would look better which sounded like an up sale to me. Then mentioned siliconing the baseboards to clean it up! When he talked I found him to be very knowledgable and really listen to what i wanted. At first i thought his quote was kinda high until i had three others come out off recommendations and he was more than fair. He also had better communication skills. So because yelp and him i decided to hire them but because house was up for sale had to have done asap! He was able to complete on schedule with no extra BS. He remembered everything we discussed and fixed all small issues we found at the end with no issues or excuses. Before I write my review, my husband and I just want to thank Michele for the beautiful job that he and his crew did on our condo. We absolutely love it and can't thank him enough! We are in the process of buying another house and we will be using him again for the renovations!! My husband and I decided to renovate our condo. We got many quotes from various companies (companies that do everything vs. companies who do individual projects). We found MM Europainting via Yelp. After meeting Michele and getting his quote, my husband and I decided to go with him because he appeared professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and his quote was fair. We also like the fact that his company does EVERYTHING you want and need!! Yet, the one component that impressed us the most and made our decision easy was Michele's credential and work background. Michele is a very reputable contractor, who we can tell due to his high quality of work is in high demand by many people of all economic status. He works on homes as big as over 6000 sq ft. Although he is a busy man, he is personable, tries to accommodate to your needs even if it means answering you emails late at night, and he is honest. When starting the project, there were some minor hiccups where we had to postpone our renovation by 1-2 weeks because his prior project had run into our timeline. Yet, being the honest guy that he is, Michele was very apologetic, explained the situation, and accommodated us to ensure that we were pleased with his service. There were also some minor communication difficulties, but that was quickly resolved. We were pleased by his genuineness. Once his crew started, they were very efficient and quick. Since my husband and I both work, we opened the door for them at 8:30 am and left them to work. By the time we would come home, they were already gone for the day, which was nice for us. They definitely worked with us and they were patient with us. On top of everything, he was very understanding as well, as we had some hiccups on our behalf. We offered to purchase all materials (i.e., laminate floors, carpet, etc.). There were some delays on our part because Home-Depot made a mistake on the delivery of our product so we had to delay the project even more. Michele and his crew was very understanding and worked with our timeline as well, which we were very grateful for. Projects that we did: * Changed carpet in all bedrooms * Changed living room, kitchen, and dining room from carpet to laminate floors * New base molding in kitchen * New lighting in bathrooms and kitchen (change from florescent lights to either bathroom fixtures or recess LED lightening) * Recess LED lightening in living room and dining room * Took off popcorn ceiling. Overall, the project took about 4 to 5 days total. It was quicker than we thought. Like other reviews, after the project, we would sometimes find some minor areas that wasn't patched up as we would have imagined; however, once we told him, he would come back and patch up the details to ensure that everything was perfect in our eyes. Over a year ago we had Michel and his crew paint the entire exterior of our house and the courtyard. The surfaces included stucco, siding, wood craftsman-style eves, wood trim around windows, wood trellis and all the exterior doors. There was a lot of detail work plus three colors of paint and Michel and his crew did a great job with careful attention to details. I meant to post a review then, but only just remembered it now when writing another review. One benefit of waiting is that I can report that after 15 months the painting it looks as good as it did the day they finished. Over time I've not found any defects in the workmanship. They did a better job than the original builder. Michel was recommend to us by a coworker, who also had a great experience. To address some of the negative reviews here regarding communication, it should be noted that MM Europainting is an owner operated business without a front office staff. I just had all of the popcorn ceilings removed by MM Europainting and Contracting (Jon & Louise were the two gentleman that came and did the work-- not sure if I spelled their names correctly!). There was water and a ceiling, get the picture......and many telling me that to get the texture to match was going to take an artist. MM Europainting painted the exterior of our Rancho Penasquitos home three years ago after repairing termite damage. They did an outstanding job and the paint quality and attention to detail were terrific. Proper equipment and extra time and care yielded an excellent quality paint job. Their work caused us to ask them to bid on installing a set of French doors in the exit of our kitchen into our Florida room in the back. The sliding glass door in place at the time dated from the original construction of the house in 1975. MM Europainting removed the old sliding door and very carefully inserted the new French doors, installed molding inside and out, and painted the entire assembly. They were very careful not to disturb the mirror on one side of the frame and beautiful marble kitchen decoration on the other. Michel and Co. came out in January of 2016 to redo our large backyard trellis, which had become rotten with rain and weather. They took away the old wood and re-covered and painted the trellis, adding an additional clear plexi-cover material on top to prevent rain saturation. During heavy rain it does leak slightly, but the majority of the rain is sealed out and the work was done in a fast and professional manner. The result is also beautiful.
