We went here for lunch, and it was a great choice! No wait for a table, water views, and the food…read morewas mostly good. We got the lunch special, lamb pita and lamb bowl. Both were underwhelming. Not much meat and the veggies/pickles they give are a little random. BUT, everything else we got was really good, especially the babagannosh and puffed up pita! That was definitely my favorite dish. I could eat a whole bowl of it! The tomato and peach salad, and broccolini sides we got were also very good! Service was a bit slow and they got my order wrong but was quick to fix it. I would definitely come here again, but try the skewers instead of the bowl or pita.

Darya's brunch buffet used to be one of the best dining deals in Halifax. It was a genuine standout…read morethat included a generous spread of high-quality Mediterranean dishes, all at a price point that made it feel like a treat without the guilt. We were regulars, and for good reason, sometimes going every week. ...but that's what makes the recent changes so disappointing. The buffet price has jumped from $35 to $42 per person (about a 20% increase) and yet somehow the offerings have gone in the opposite direction. The number of dishes on the buffet has been reduced, and most of the accompanying sauces have been quietly cut back or eliminated altogether. The toum, in particular, used to be a highlight (garlicky, creamy, and addictive) and its absence is genuinely felt. Now, two people are now easily spending $100+ for what is demonstrably less food than before. Since tax and tips are calculated as a percentage of overall spend, you end up paying quite a bit more per person than what you did a few months ago. The food that remains is still good. Darya's kitchen hasn't lost its touch, and the quality of the Mediterranean cooking is evident. And of course, the views are spectacular. But value is about the whole equation, and right now that equation doesn't balance. Paying more for less, especially when the "less" includes things you loved, is a hard sell. We probably won't be back again, at least for a long time . Here's hoping they reconsider and restore what made this special for everyone, locals as well as seasonal tourists, in the first place.

I honestly haven't heard about this spot and for a place with such a large Greek community I almost feel like we are lacking in Greek options. I ordered the chicken gyro plate, but I felt it was necessary to try much of the menu. So I added a skewer of each of the chicken and pork souvlakia, and a side of pork gyro. And when I seen moussaka, an all time favourite meal from childhood I had to throw it in. Let's start with the moussaka. It was disappointing. Flavour was almost there but it barely had any eggplant, which is kinda the star of the show. I wouldn't say it was bland but could've used more salt and maybe some garnish to pretty it up. The pork gyro was pretty good, well seasoned and cooked. Only issue I have with gyro here in Halifax is that it doesn't exist. I'm used to ground lamb and pork on a spit not slices of pork. But over all tasty. The souvlaki was delicious, I would say the pork was much tastier then the chicken. The chicken was a bit dry and had a tad too much citrus flavour that over powered everything. But the pork souvlaki definitely won the show. Last and the least, the chicken gyro plate. The biggest disappointment of the meal. The salad lacked any form of dressing, it had the slightest hint of citrus. The potatoes were okay, but nothing noteworthy. The rice was good but it's almost hard to mess that up. The chicken again was seasoned well but it was a bit dry and was smothered in citrus. The tzatziki was what I like to call canadianized. Barely the taste of garlic or anything really. It was almost like just plain yogurt. The pita was sliced up and the chicken smothered in the sauce on top of the pita. If I have a next attempt I would more than likely remember get sauce on the side. Pita would've been better if it was grilled. Over all I give 2.6/5 stars. I rated it a 3 to be nice. I would try this spot again but I don't think it would be a staple. Nothing really stood out that would make me miss this place in the future.
